I always find a ton of toys and clothes for my daughter that are cheap and things she will absolutely love. I also love buying my shoes from there, I have a pair of Sketchers that are the most comfy shoes I've ever worn and they were only $50. Of course the space can be cramped at Christmas time and things can be out of sorts, but with as many people going through there day in and day out I'd say they're doing a pretty good job of keeping things organized. I also think their checkout system is flawless. The line may be wrapped around the store but it goes so fast - and the cashiers are always so lovely even during the stressful holiday season.

The lady in front of me came to my defense and said she was wrong. The customer became belligerent and it was quite embarrassing when all we wanted to do was checkout and go about our day. The cashier was clearly uncomfortable yet no one from the store's staff felt like they should step in. She should have been asked to leave or at the very least, go to another register. Other locations seem to have better security.

I needed hair products but I ended up with much more as usual. Thank God I have my red card to enjoy additional savings on some of the items. There's also an Ulta Dept at this location, but I don't think staff member was working during the hours I went. Cosmetics / beauty is something I need guidance with because there's a lot of options and I get overwhelmed. They also had one of my favorite rosé wines (Josh) on sale so I couldn't resist to grab a bottle.

It has the feel of TJ Maxx or Marshall. That can be nice sometimes, but I personally wouldn't drive to it again. It does have a really large collection, especially of shirts and pants. I did find that the type of "look" seemed to target a different demographic, so I had trouble finding clothes that I liked. When I looked at the tags, most of the clothing was made in China though, so I'm not sure how long it will last. There were a couple of sections with actual Dillards brands, and they were nicer (in my opinion), but then the prices were more like going to the Mall, so I don't really have a need to drive there. If I lived in High Point, I'd probably visit from time to time, but it's not worth the visit from Winston.

Just because it's a discount store doesn't mean it has to look like that. The items are displayed in in such an disorganized fashion. It makes shopping for specific items feel rushed because you are looking through chaos. There were 4 people in line and 1 additional customer waiting for a price check. There was only 1 register open. However, two Gabes employees were standing behind the one cashier having a chat. The quality of most items I'd say are fair at best. There are times you can find quality brand items.
