For those curious which side of friendly - it's on the new side across from Harris Teeter in the little line of shops by Altar'd estate. I was looking for some cute new tops to wear on camera for WFH and walked out with more! While they're mainly stocked with cute clothes with amazing prices, they also have Packed Party accessory brand which I love, jewelry, a little baby clothes section and gift/trinket items to purchase. They even had a nice sale section called the pink dot which has everything marked down to $15!! The associate working was super welcoming and friendly too! I'll def go back especially for their pink dot sale section!!

When celebrating our first Christmas as a couple, my boyfriend surprised me with a music workshop as part of my gift. Marcus was so chill & helpful in the writing process! Sadly, Valisa was out sick the night we were to be there for the workshop. However, like the amazing artist she is, Marcus had her in his ear while she listened in through the phone. The experience was so fun & memorable!! Valisa is extremely talented on putting beats together and helping people to pull the music that is deep in their soul. After recording what we finished writing for the night, we received the recording & notes, so we could continue working on it if we wanted, within 24 hrs! It was definitely very well done. But the store is not just recording & songwriting!! They are a fabulous boutique carrying sizes XS-3X!! FINALLY, a boutique that caters to lots of clientele & not just one tiny pocket of society!! Bought one of her sweatshirts the night of our workshop and it immediately became my FAVORITE shirt for the chilly days. With the gossamer curtains welcoming you as you enter, it felt like walking into a life-sized Barbie's dream shop! Not quite as many clothing options as I was hoping for, but the ones they had were definitely modern fashions. It was the accessories that will keep me coming back, though. Some of the cutest jewelry, tumblers, candles, car coasters, etc. adorn the glass and wooden shelving. Place was clean and sanitized with staff wearing masks for my safety. Also, we were told that the dressing rooms were open now and they are steam cleaned after every use. We were greeted warmly upon entry and were introduced to the different sections of the store. I also pushed my way thru the crowd and quickly asked for help as I wanted to possibly make a custom piece. They ushered me to one saleslady who seemed to be really into her last customer and did not act like she had time for me. She picked out one piece and showed me and made a comment about my budget which we did not discuss so I'm not sure why. I ended up buying two pieces I saw on my way in and decided not to customize anything as I did not care for the service.

I was getting my toddler a snack before entering the store and I sent my mom ahead of me. My mom came back in tears. The sales woman stopped her gave her a snotty look and said that she need to put on a mask. That's not a big deal we were mask all the time. The way she said it was incredibly disrespectful almost guarding her from moving forward into the consumer-less store. When my mom fumbled through her purse to find one. She pointed to free masks with an attitude of clear irritation. I came back alone to speak with the manager who claimed she was in earshot, even though my mom said she was not in the store at the time. The sales woman I said she absolutely was not disrespectful in anyway when I pressed she said she was willing to apologize for any offense. Then the sales woman added to her narrative that she had told my mom she didn't have to wear a mask... which was a lie and also against their store's policies it seems. I can respect having your employees back. But the manager wasn't in ear shot. The sales lady lied. My mom wouldn't hear her out, she was too embarrassed. Stuff like this happens. We all have get in funks or have bad attitudes sometimes. It's not worth harping over and we all need grace sometimes. This is one of the better Plato's closet that I've been to…read more People always complain about the money given for clothes, but if you actually ask about the process before you start, they will give you some information on why certain items are bought for what the are. Also, if you look at similar items in the store and look at what they are selling for on the racks, you will see that they have to make money too! This store usually has a wide selection of clothes, especially pants. The employees (usually one in particular that always remembers my face) know what's there and can help you locate a specific type of clothing item or outfit type. I like that this Platos is usually well put together and clean. There's never a problem with everything messy and out of place. Platos is a good deal for the average college student to find cute clothes beyond typical mall stores!
