I enjoyed my visit at the store. Everything is so colorful and unique. They have a great selection of candles and stationary. My daughter found a very cute book that allows her to journal her artwork for a year. The clothing was very pretty. I thought the dresses in the back were a good deal. It was very busy. The cashier took a moment to ask if we were doing ok. It was thoughtful of her and I appreciated the good customer service. We carefully walked through the whole store and there wasn't a table that we didn't like. Very cute shop with some vibrant smelling candles and cute gifts of all kids! Stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon during my lunch break to browse and pass some time. They have a children's section in the back which was a pleasant surprise, and I purchased a cool finger puppet book for my little one. I was also happy to see the work of some local designers in the shop. Didn't give five stars because I didn't see any works of black artists (which is important to me) and because some of the items were pricier than my liking. I really like shopping local, so I was thrilled to find this place chocked full of items, art, jewelry, and pottery from local artists, craftsmen, & designers. The pottery mugs, handmade, leather-beaded jewelry, and hand-crafted natural soaps are my go-to spots in the store, but I also enjoy browsing through the racks of clothes. The hand-painted prints are so beautiful and reminds me that NC is full of talented artists! They even host creative workshops, though I'm not sure if these have continued since quarantine. The place is always clean and organized. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to their artisans and are always masked for our safety. Prices are reasonable for supporting local artists. Just Be has so many unique items in every category from jewelry, clothing, stationary, kids gifts, home items and so much more. When you shop here you are not only supporting a local business you are also helping people all around the world with supporting fair trade. Just Be makes it so easy to find a great gift for anyone for the holidays or any occasion. This is one of those shops you can go in multiple times and find new items each time. As for COVID precautions Just Be requires all guests to wear masks and has hand sanitizer available. I have also visited when they were keeping a count of how many guests are shopping to help with social distancing. I love this store! Whenever I have someone visiting we always make a trip over to browse Just Be. This store can lean towards the pricier side but it is understandable because everything is fair trade and made by individual artists. This is the perfect place to buy a gift because of the one of a kind nature and the variety of all things here. I love browsing through the card selection. Since the cards are made by artists and not one of the big chains you can ensure your card will be original, especially for things like wedding or baby showers where the same card often shows up multiple times. They always have a nice jewelry selection as well, I recently picked up a great set of bangles. They do close around six on weekdays which can make getting there after work a bit hard, so be sure to check their hours before you head on over. read more

Great store that features handmade items from local vendors/artists, as well as non-local items. Warning: you need at least 40 minutes to be able to look at all the treasures in this store! Before moving to Greensboro, I lived in Burlington and would take visitors to Just Be in Alamance Crossing because I love the store and there is something for everyone (not just women)! Now that I live in Greensboro on the same street as Just Be here, I love going in and perusing, not necessarily with something in mind, but the store inspires me and makes me happy. I always shop here for Mother's day gifts and when I am at a loss for a gift for someone, this is my first stop. Best purchase to date: NC mug ($36 but worth every penny). I have gifted this mug as well. I follow Just Be on instagram, which helps me stay updated on their inventory/sales/events/giveaways. Also, I am looking forward to shopping their new Rifle Paper Co items that recently arrived. Although I do my best to support local vendors/artists, I love Rifle Paper Co and would rather buy it from my local Just Be than a non-local store. Bottom line: you can't go wrong with Just Be! Nothing. I got nothing. Literally, I'm a sucker for girly shops and I simply could not be drawn to anything in this store. They have a decent sale section. They have jewelry. Whimsical art pieces, functional pottery, smelly candles, colorful stationery and it's floor to ceiling full of eye popping you-name-it. Sigh. But I have to admit that it's all something that I have seen before. Same old same old Letter journals. I could pick up a P book or letter B book and chandelier earrings just about anywhere. From the moment I walked by Just Be and saw the bird house on the wall outside that produced a stream of bubbles, I was in love. But then I've been a little bit in love with Greensboro since I drove in last night...and I'm not sure why. Just Be is beautiful. If you like higher-end without being ridiculously expensive jewelry, cards, ceramics, candles, handbags -you name it - you will spend your money here. The store is beautifully merchandised, and items are displayed artfully, making beautiful things look even better. As I told Renee, the incredibly friendly manager, just when I thought I'd seen everything, another wonderful display or item popped up, and I probably wanted to buy it too. The back of the store has a very cool table space where classes are held...I'm guessing in jewelry making or the collage/mixed media art that I saw throughout the store as well. I saw some high-quality brands of fine art crafts that I've seen in other boutiques (lines of cards and such) and even an extensive display of work from a Maryland watercolor artist and illustrator, of bonesigharts.com. Of course I had to buy something from her! This is the kind of place where you can always find the perfect pair of earrings for your sister or your best friend - and something for yourself besides (can't deprive ourselves. Please!) If you're passing through downtown Greensboro, stop in to Just Be. I went here looking for local items. Karla total me there is a shelf up front as she stood behind counter without her mask (not that I cared but some people do, she eventually put it on). The shelf had maybe five different types of items. I tried to make conversation about what I was looking for and she was short. I said I haven't be able to find local post cards in Greensboro do you perhaps know where..., she snapped there is one at counter. I saw a few items in store that had North Carolina on them but I didn't feel like Karla would be interested in giving me any info she knew. I decided on the post cards. I got two then she said to buy three or something else because total was under $5. I get merchants pay fee to use cards. I usually just ask them to round up to the threshold, specially when it's just a few cents like in this case. But I was just so taken back at the whole experience and her tone that I just left. read more

The birdhouse bubble blower was adorable and had me following it's stream into this quaint corner shop. When you enter, you feel a little lighter. Happier, even. Definitely helps that the staff is very friendly and can give you details on the products sold. It's bright, airy, and smells amazing. It's laid out pretty well, yet there's so much that catches your attention. I'm a sucker for anything that smells good, so I was instantly drawn to the candles and incense. There's a pretty small collection of both, but enough to give you sastifying options. I believe everything sold here is fair trade. Clothing, jewelry, bags/purses, journals, wall art, pottery, soaps, lotions, you're likely to find a nice one-of-a-kind gift for a loved one. It's pricey, but you're paying for quality, and showing support to the locals. They close early during the week, but open later on the weekends. I also believe they have different events go on, like once a month. An artist may come in and paint, something of that sort. In writing a review for Scuppernong it occurred to me that I have not shared my thoughts on this gem of a gift shop. Why.... I do not know since I cross their threshold once every four to five weeks. Just Be provides any and everything we ladies need when in the market for special little gifts for friends, family, coworkers, etc. This is my definite go-to for all gifts being shared with my friends.
