I do visit other consignment shops but find things here more often than at others'. Last time I went, the second half of the store seems to be some "booths," sort of like the Design Archives on Front Street. I didn't like some of those items as much - not necessarily to my taste - but I still browsed, and I think that makes the store more enjoyable for people with all kinds of asethics. Many of these types of boutiques are a dying breed . They sell jewelry, clothing, accessories and the crown jewel is the freezers of gourmet food and the personal service of the staff. They are located in the strip mall on Lawndale amongst other assorted businesses . The freezers house a wide selection of regional items from appetizers of dip, delectable country ham rolls, wide range of entrees such as quiche, pot pies, casseroles and yummy desserts of pies and cakes. They even held the piece for me while I figured out my schedule to pick up the piece. I love what I bought, and saw many other high-quality (and well-priced!) items in the store. The store's layout was also very attractive and well-designed, so that you could imagine how each piece would look in your house. I have had a lot of hit-or-miss experiences at vintage stores, and can say that Adelaide's was a treat. They also had delicious cookies, baked by one of the staff :) totally recommend!
