If I'm displeased, I generally chalk it up to someone having a bad day or, if repeated consistently, I go elsewhere. (Praise should be public, criticism private). I unfortunately don't recall names, but it was pretty much everyone there from floor to register. I had just gotten new plates for my car... just came from DoL after 3rd time trying interstate title transfer. (I'll leave those details to your imagination...) I realized I needed a special tool in order to mount them. I came here because it's super close to work and they'd always been very helpful previously. It appeared a little bit of a reset was happening so things were little disorganized in some regard. Changing seasonal merch and all that fun.) but every one on the floor began to help look for what I needed, then get the different bolts to use and even replaced the bolts so I didn't have to purchase new tools (that I already have, just in storage and inaccessible at the moment). The level of helpful patience was beyond anything expected. Ever. I've worked in various customer service jobs my entire life. I know people can be exhausting. They spent a good 30+ minutes (of course taking turns helping others with the same friendly attitude when they came in) for ultimately a $6 sale. I've been to this Ace numerous times over the past decade or so and always a very good experience and excellent service. This time deserves a special shout out. I sensed someone very close behind me. It was the person helping along with a large dog on a rope. Not sure if this was personalized service or following me on a potential theft suspicion. (door had sign requiring leaving backpacks etc. at counter). I quickly found what I wanted, but I'm sure others would have freaked out if they don't like dogs close in their space. Maybe this was a result of a prior violent theft or scare. Who knows. Anyway, I like the place because of the knowledgeable, friendly staff. They have been helpful over the years, having all the things I need, especially hard-to-find items and bolts/fasteners.

I have found that in the last several months they have replaced most of their upper managment at this location. Though concering at first..... It turned out to be a great decision for this store. Richard, kyle, Layton (SIC) and Jon the unit manager all deserve cudos from Lowes Corp. guys such as Ben and Doug. Both Kyle and Richard are from California and I feel they both sincerly care about all the needs and wants from not only "customers" but from the "Community as well". Lowes of Everett Wa has taken a great interest in the restoration of Chateau Evalyn formally known as Charles of Smugglers Cove in Mukilteo WA. We purchased tile and scheduled backsplash installation through Lowes. Initial installation delayed…read moredue to poor communication between Lowe's and installation contractor, over proper size of tile trim (apparently wrong size trim was ordered so the store was holding order until they heard from the installation company, but the installation company claimed to know nothing about it). Once we acted as a go between for communication the correct trim was ordered. Installation day arrives. The installer shows up without material. We specifically asked that the installer pick up material and was told this was customary. The installer said that they do often pick up materials but only if Lowe's notes it on the work order. Once the materials got picked up and the backsplash was installed the tiles were not wiped clean from grout. After WE got the tiles wiped off it was clear 6 tiles were cracked. Today the installer was scheduled to replace the broken tiles between 8-11. No one shows up so we call Lowe's installation coordinator who contacts the installer. Apparently it was not put onto the installer's schedule as they were waiting for pictures. The problem is that no one ever asked us for pictures, again lack of communication. There just seems to be no communication between Lowes and their contracted installers which leaves customers with long delays and spending hours trying to find out what is going on to act as a go between Lowes and their contracted installers. Overall quality of the work is poor as the customer should not be the ones cleaning the grout off the tile and the tiles should not be left cracked. The installer did come later to fix those 6 tiles but within hours of those 6 tiles being replace we noticed a crack in another tile. At this point I we will probably just give up and live with a brand new backsplash that is already cracked. That is sad

I…read moredidn't realize the one I grabbed was missing a price tag, but similar items were reasonably priced. At checkout, the cashier asked the manager to confirm the price. Instead of walking over to look at the product--despite being only about 12 feet away--he glanced from a distance, checked his phone for a moment, and told her it was $13.99. That didn't sit right with me, so after paying, Something didn't feel right so I went back to check the shelf myself. The exact same item was clearly marked $5.79. I brought the correctly priced item and photos to the manager. He offered no apology and simply said the online price he saw was higher. When I returned to the register to correct the purchase, he brushed it off again, saying the item "must have been marked wrong." The issue isn't just the price difference--it's the lack of effort and accountability. The manager didn't take a moment to walk over and verify the product, didn't check the shelf, and didn't seem concerned about overcharging a customer by more than double. Not everyone can absorb that kind of mistake, and customers shouldn't have to double-check basic accuracy. Do better. Customers trust matters, and so does taking the time to get it right. Customers should trust the store to be accurate and fair the first time.

That's $180 that Angi and Lowes are pocketing for doing literally nothing. This is why no one can make a living wage... companies like Lowes pocketing money others earned.
