Dr. Shervin Aminpour is absolutely amazing! He has been my doctor for years. He performed sinus surgery on me and after having a 95% deviated septum, with chronic sinus infections, I could finally breathe! Dr. Aminpour performed a tonsillectomy on our daughter too. Then in May of this year my husband was diagnosed with skin cancer on his nose by a Dermatologist. The Dermatologist said they should be able to close the incision, but the doctor was not a cosmetic surgeon and this was his face! So I immediately thought of Dr. Aminpour because I knew he specializes in noses being an ENT and that he was a cosmetic surgeon. I called Dr. Aminpour's office and spoke to his amazing office manager, Iris, and she made an appointment for my husband to come right in. She also coordinated the whole surgery and navigated so the timing was right going from the Dermatologist to remove the skin cancer and then to Dr. Aminpour to close the incision. When we got to Dr. Aminpour's office after the cancer removal, he was so surprised how large the area was, but he immediately knew what to do. He took my husband into surgery, and he had to totally reconstruct my husband's nose. Dr. Aminpour guided us through the whole process and let us know what to expect from the healing process. Dr. Aminpour told us to trust him and that it was going to look great and not to worry. It took 3-4 months, but it completely healed and looks like his old nose! We are so thankful to Dr. Aminpour and feel we are so blessed that he is our doctor. Nobody else could have done what he did. He is a miracle worker! I lost hearing in one of my ears, after having a cold. I went to Dr. Aminpour, and he ordered a head CT. He then told me that I needed surgery. He prescribed an antibiotic, but said it wouldn't work, because I needed to have surgery. The good thing was, he could do it in his office! I was skeptical, so I went to another ENT specialist. That doctor told me I have a deep sinus infection, and that the antibiotic that Dr. Amnipour gave was not strong enough to cure it, so he prescribed a stronger one that I needed for two weeks instead of 5 days. He said that the surgery Dr. Aminpour recommended wouldn't help. After I went back for follow up, and after getting a repeat head CT, the infection was gone and I could hear. Dr. Aminpour didn't even tell me I had a sinus infection. He gave me 5 days supply of an antibiotic and said I needed surgery. After a few months, I got a phone call from his office asking me if I would like to schedule the surgery. I just said "no, thank you." How can doctors do this and keep their license? read more

It's been almost 2 full years since my rhinoplasty with Dr. Aminpour. I am fully healed and couldn't be more happy with the results. My biggest fear going into the surgery was that I would come out of it not looking like myself; but Dr. Aminpour is clearly an artist and managed to give me the results I wanted while still making sure my nose still fit in with the rest of my face. And huge bonus: I can breathe through both nostrils for the first time in my life! The office staff were absolutely lovely both before and after the surgery, and Dr. Aminpour gave me his mobile number after the surgery for me to reach out if I had any concerns during the healing process. I texted him once with a concern and he responded in a timely manner to ease my anxiety about what is normal during post operative healing. Overall, the surgery was simple for me with zero pain when I healed (I didn't even need the pain medication that was provided). The worst of it was just feeling stuffy for a while, but that resolved itself. Not even the removal of the splints hurt, which I had heard could be quite uncomfortable. I had done quite a bit of research prior to my rhinoplasty, and I chose Dr. Aminpour because he is both an ENT and board certified facial plastic surgeon. I believe his extensive education and training in these areas is what made this process one of the easiest and most rewarding things I've done. Ever since I came in, Dr. Aminpour knew exactly what I had, what was causing all my symptoms and how to tailor a treatment plan to help me overcome everything I was going through. The office staff is so nice and it was great they could do the CT scan right in the office. Dr. Aminpour diagnosed pour nasal pathway and did a septoplasty. I had sinus surgery back in May of 2020. Before my surgery Dr. Aminpour notified me that I had a deviated septum making it impossible to breathe properly. I had had surgery to fix this issue back in 1987, but obviously it wasn't done successfully. This review is for the office staff. It turned out that my situation (possibly something related to my TMJ) required a dentist, and not the services of Dr. Aminpour. Yet, I felt very confident in my selection of--and initial scheduling with--this doctor; the vast majority of the reviews seem to be quite positive and encouraging. I first made my appointment with Dr. Aminpour through his online scheduling system, which was fairly easy to navigate. When my situation grew a little more urgent, I decided to call the office to see if they might be able to do something earlier on another day. They were very helpful and extremely flexible in rescheduling me (and eventually canceling my appointment without making me feel guilty), even noticing that I had already set up something through their online portal (Zocdoc) without being told. At least half of what goes on at a doctor's office has to do with the support staff, and if how they handled my situation is any indication of what Dr. Aminpour is like, then I would feel very confident in scheduling an appointment with him! read more

Reviewing Office Experience and not the Doctor. I saw all the bad reviews about the office staff and thought people were exaggerating... I called in today and a VERY professional and nice lady picked up and answered all my questions and gave me an appointment, I then told her id call back to confirm with my brother. I call back and a rude woman picks up with attitude for no reason since I had not said a word yet. I ask her if she could confirm the appointment that the other lady had given me, and she very rudely tells me that there is no appointment like that. And I tell her okay, maybe I had it wrong and hang up. I call back in hopes of speaking to the nice lady, and this bi**h picked up again and said " DIDNT YOU JUST CALL???" I say " Yes, I don't appreciate your attitude can I please speak with someone else??" And she literally tells me " MAAM CALM DOWN" and immediately puts me on hold. The nice lady picks up and tells me she actually CAN confirm the appointment and tells me she's sorry for the miscommunication, and I thank her a lot and hung up. Now for the Dr... I see he is very protective over his staff. And tends to write yelp replies protecting his staff... your patients should be the importance for you, and if soooooo many people are giving you bad reviews for your staff, then you need to be logical enough and actually make some changes in your office, and fire the rude women that are ruining the reputation for the office and the MD. I've been here once in 2018. They check my health insurance and find everything correct. So I pay my co-pay on the spot, see the doctor, and get the medication I need. After 2 years, in 2020, a collection company call me. Apparently, my health insurance didn't pay because they were missing some documents. They gave the bill to them without even trying to call me. In 2 years they never tried even once to contact me, even if they had my phone number, email address, and physical address, as I double-checked with them once I received the bad news. With just one phone call, one letter, or one email, everything would be resolved in minutes. Instead, my credit score got heavily affected and the health insurance didn't initially want to pay because it was too late. After months of problems, phone calls, and stress, I finally get everything resolved and they get paid in full by my health insurance. Fun fact: only after receiving the payment recipe, I learn that the health insurance has a deal with them for a significant discount. But they were NOT applying that discount when charging me. Basically, they would make more money charging me through the collection company than they did by being paid by the health insurance. Anyway, I ask kindly if they can get resolved the problem with the collection company. After waiting a long time, I have to call the collection company myself to resolve the situation. They didn't even make a phone call to contact them to update them on the situation, in order to start the process to restore my credit score. I've never seen in my life such disrespect for patients, and I'm not even going to start describing the medical service itself or I'll write a book. I think this episode is emblematic enough to tell how much they'll care about you. read more

I came to Dr. Aminpour in 2017. When I walked into my office I never thought I would be able to breath out of my nose fully. I also never thought I would look in the mirror and love the way my nose looked. I didn't even know what I was missing. After still having issues, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Aminpour and just looking at it he could tell that it was broken. He made great recommendations for my nose and immediately had me scheduled for a balloon sinuplasty, then a septoplasty/rhinoplasty. He took care of issues I have had since I was a child, and I'm almost 30 now. I can breathe so much better now and I love the look of my nose. I have gone to over five different specialist. Each one of them brushed me off and told me I have year round hay fever and allergic rhinitis (which later developed into asthma). I was told to continue taking over the counter medicine for my allergies and Flonase for my nose (which was chronically stuffed and or runny). I got fed up with having to take days off of work because I needed to go to Urgent Care for breathing treatments, and suffering from chronic sinus headaches (and not being able to take headache meds due to allergy), chronic fatigue, sneezing all day long, and coughing like crazy-- not to mention losing my sense of smell, taste, and hearing. I saw that Dr. Aminpour has an office in Century City, so I decided to make an appointment via Zodoc after hearing his commercials on KNX 1070. Ani made the appointment process so seamless and was incredibly friendly. Within 5 minutes of speaking with Dr. Aminpour he diagnosed me with Samster's Triad. He took a peek into my nose and saw all of the expected polyps. Right away he let me know the severity of my condition and coordinated with an allergist to start my treatment. My treatment consisted of a full endoscopic sinus surgery and asprin desensitization. The day after surgery my sense of smell and hearing came back but most of all, I could breathe again! It's nearly two months after my surgery and I haven't had any sneezing, I am able to breathe normally, I can smell, hear, taste, and I haven't had to use my inhaler. Dr. Aminpour is an excellent physician who has cared for both mine and my 6 year old son ENT needs. He gives honest advice for the benefit of the patient and not for the benefit of his pocket! Recently I came to him for ear pain and decided while I'm there to give him a try for Botox and I am soooooo happy I did!!! If you want to waste your time than go to him. We went to him since my husband had an ear issue and the visit was 5 mins only. He than scheduled another appointment 3 weeks later. During that time they even called to reschedule. On the 1st visit he had said that he would do a cleaning on the 2nd visit. 2nd visit came up and we went again and this time he spent less than 5 mins with us. We asked for the cleaning and he said he would do it the next time. We told him we drive 45 mins each time to get to him and he acted like he could care less. The entire time he was rushed like he had something better to do than treat his patient. Of course we paid the copay at each visit and now they decided to bill us after he received hundreds of dollars from the insurance company for 2 visits that were less than 5 mins each. Very unprofessional for any doctor to treat their patient this way. Don't waste your time with him go somewhere where they know how to treat their patients. read more
