I came here with a very uncomfortable ear situation and Dr. Bublik's Physician Associate Stephen Cabalatungan saved me! He cleaned out my ear and was super gentle with the vacuuming and scraping. He was so helpful and so patient, I felt seen and understood. Big shoutout to Stephen for his help. There is a cost for each office visit, plus an additional cost for services rendered. They did not take insurance, from what I remember. They have parking but you may end up paying if you stay for too long. There's also street parking available, if you can swing it. Can't really say much about the doctors as I never saw them. The poor rating is for the fact that I had made an appointment to be seen and a few days before the scheduled appointment, I became ill for reasons relating to needing to see an ENT and was hospitalized. I contacted the office twice attempting to cancel and never heard back. I assumed it was okay. A year later, I find out I'm in collections for a no-show fee. The office never once attempted to call me or reach out about this and they claim they never received my two cancellation calls. Suspicious to say the least. I have now being trying to reach someone there for over a month-calls, emails, etc. and am constantly being ignored or pushed to someone else. I finally had to get more forceful in an email to get a response, which I did and was then sent yet again to someone else. Only recently did someone finally respond in an email simply stating, "we will not waive this" -verbatim-no proper grammar, no professional message of any kind, reasoning, signature, nothing. I am beyond frustrated with this place at this point and the lack of professionalism, kindness, etc. and what's more? Sending me to collections for $50 when inappropriate but also without even giving em the chance to settle with them first. I recently had sudden hearing loss from a sinus infection. After seeing 2 or 3 other specialists who didn't know how to treat it, one of Dr. Bublik's Physician Assistant's (Alexandra) did a tuning fork test and immediately gave me an action plan. I went on a mega-dose of prednisone for 10 days. I'm only 1/3 of the way through that and I have recovered most of my hearing. The swelling in my Eustachian tubes also went down. Per Alexandra, I booked an appointment with an audiologist. Thankfully, she didn't see any significant hearing loss and the audiologist said the fast action from Alexandra probably saved my hearing. read more

Here is my issue--I needed surgery. His team wanted all sorts of forms and payment prior to surgery. They also told me that there were a number of things that would not be covered by insurance. One of them was a $1500 "facility fee." I asked why it wasn't covered. They said because it was "out of network." I asked if he could do the operation in a facility covered by my insurance. They said he uses this facility because it's "top notch" and sometimes other facilities don't have all the equipment he needs. I asked who owns the facility, they ignored it. I asked again, and his staff said she'd need to check. I asked again, and they sent me a document that showed that the facility was owned by an LLC. It was only today, when I actually showed up for a pre operation exam and they gave me forms to fill out that I saw, buried deep in the fine print, that Dr. Bublik is one of the owners of the "facility" that he requires his patients to use. When I asked his assistant why she didn't tell me that when I first asked, she said she didn't know it at the time (which was the day before). I cancelled my surgery. Dr. Bublik requires you to use his own "out of network" facility. And his office should have disclosed this fact as soon as I asked about it, but instead provided other excuses for why he makes his patients use a facility not covered by insurance. I'm not going to let someone I don't trust perform surgery on me. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Alexandra Russell who was really kind and informative and genuinely took her time in assisting me. I hate to leave an imperfect review but I honestly just had to say that staff Taguyi was rude to me when I interacted with her. She was okay the first time we saw each other and the other medical staff have been nothing but amazing and thorough but the most recent time I was there Taguyi really talked down to me when I just had some basic questions. She interrupted me multiple times as I was speaking and I don't know what she had going on in her life that day but this is no way to treat a patient who put their trust in this clinic. I was hurt and felt that her tone was not professional and she seemed to be taking some sort of personal mood out on me. I'm a very shy person so I didn't even know what to say since I wanted to ask for the manager on the spot but feared retaliation of some sort from Taguyi since she's always there when I go so I just left as quickly as I could after. It's a shame since I really like Alexandra and want to keep coming to her since she's helping me with my health, very professional, exceedingly knowledgeable, and gentle with me but my experience with Taguyi changed the way I perceived this experience as a whole since now I feel a certain aversion and feel anxiety when I think of making an appointment, in case I need to ask her another question or need something and she's not in the right headspace. I will not be providing my name because I do not wish to be identified by her since I still may need to come in the future. Very unfortunate and disappointing experience! When I arrived, the interaction with the office manager, Natalie, was VERY unprofessional. My inquiries regarding the necessary paperwork and insurance details were met with impatience and a rude attitude, making me feel more like an inconvenience than a patient. She did not want to help me with my questions about the forms I had to fill out or my insurance. However, the worst part was seeing the doctor. I thought they would be nicer than the manager, but unfortunately they weren't. The doctor seemed rushed and barely took the time to listen to my health concerns, offering generic advice that felt both impersonal and rushed. Rhinoplasty Review: It's been a little bit over a month since my rhinoplasty and my nose is looking great! I found Dr. Bublik on a google search and at first I was hesitant to go in for a consultation because of some of the bad reviews on Yelp and because he wasn't as active on Instagram how other surgeons are, but after reading every single review on Yelp i realized all the rhinoplasty reviews were actually good and I decided to schedule a consultation. 1. Consultation: you will meet with Dr. Bublik and he will look at your nose and answer your questions. Then you will meet with Veronica who will tell you how much your surgery will cost. 2. If you decide to do your surgery you will call or email Veronica to choose the day of your surgery and then schedule an appointment with Dr. Bublik to take your pictures and show you on the computer how your nose will look and answer any other questions and then you will meet with Veronica to pay for your surgery and sign documents. 3. Surgery Day: you will arrive to the surgery center super early and sign more documents. Surgery will most likely be around 7am and it can take about 3 hours or less. 4. Pain: One I woke up from my surgery I didn't feel any pain on my nose, but I did feel nauseated because of the anesthesia. 5. Cast: I had my cast on for 6 days and on the 7th day it was removed. 6. Stitches: I went a week later to get my stitches removed from the outside. I will be going back in a couple of weeks to have my stitches from the inside removed. So far, the swelling has gone down quite a bit and I am loving my new nose. Dr. Bublik and his staff have been very nice and he's indeed a great surgeon! I totally recommend him! read more

3 years after rhinoplasty and I have so many issues - deviate septum, uneven nostrils, nasal drip, and airway problems. What happened? Dr. Bublik clearly needs more experience and I regret using him. He also came in 10 minutes before surgery and left before I came out of anesthesia. I noticed my nostrils were uneven right away and for an entire year he said it was just swelling. He shouldn't be allowed to perform any further surgeries until he figures out why he screws up. With so many amazing doctors in the world, don't settle for mediocrity. read more

I saw the lovely PA Ali Russell who did a fabulous job with my Dysport injections! I've gone several places for my neuromodulators before and the service + results here were equally as good as anywhere in Beverly Hills. In fact, they numbed the areas first which I'd never experienced elsewhere and it was way less painful. It's fantastic how quick the Dysport kicks in, just a few days. After dealing with some kind of sinus infection, I had nasal bleeding in both nostrils that wouldn't stop. I had tried for days to stop the bleeding myself but was unsuccessful, so I called Dr. Bublik. Dr. Bublik was able to quickly stop the bleeding with a mild procedure that was quick, effective, and didn't leave me in any discomfort. He was friendly, polite, and gave me a great deal of confidence that the procedure would be enough to prevent further bleeding - and it was. Thanks to him, the bleeding stopped and I recovered shortly after. Dr. Bublik is an excellent doctor and his staff were great too - welcoming and helpful. I can't speak to his ability as a surgeon as I only went in for a consultation. Dr. Bublik was one of 3 surgeons I met and was the only surgeon who found it necessary to numb my nose and use a scope to see my septum. Before this scope was used I had to sign a consent form as I understand there are risks associated. Sure. But I was NOT made aware that he was going to charge my insurance $919 for this 15 second procedure. At the time I was confused why he needed the scope as every other dr I met just used a flashlight. And Dr. Bublik barely even looked at the screen. It really did seem at the time he did it for no reason. But now I understand the reason. It was so he could get paid!! I was billed $241.89 for this after my insurance paid their portion!!!!! I was never told that this scope would result in an additional charge. I ended up going with a different dr and I am very happy I did so as this is so shady!! read more

He is just an outstanding doctor! I had a sinus problem for the last 2 years, one of the sinuses did not breath, liquid was constantly dripping from it, I had constant face pressure and catching cold was just a nightmare. I had corrective surgery with Dr Bublik a few years back and my nose was crooked after the surgery. At the time he mentioned he wish he took cartilage from behind my ear and suggested massage to push the septum in place. My nose remained crooked and with the tip in an odd shape. He was willing to fix with filler a few months after surgery. I called in today to ask how much would it be to correct the same problem as the shape of my nose is bothering me again. The receptionist was rude and unwilling to ask the Dr about costs given I paid for my surgery in the past and didn't have the desired results. Sad to see that's how old patients with poor results are treated. Don't recommend and very disappointed. Shame. read more

I had Dr. Bublik do a sinus surgery for me at the end of 2018 which came out so well that I decided to try him for tear trough filler. He did both fillers at the same time on 6/11/20 and I noticed that it left two bumps under my eyes after the appointment. This seemed odd to me as I had tear trough filler done at the end of 2018 at Neura Image on Crenshaw Blvd and while it was swollen afterwards it seemed even and spread out. I went back to Dr. Bublik on 8/20/20 and he said that "everyone has a different reaction to filler" and that it would go away within a couple of weeks... well here we are in November and it still looks horrible. Went to another place, Prolase, and they said he just did a poor job and that they could fix it. read more

I am very disappointed in my experience with Southern California ENT and Allergy Associates & Dr. Michael Bublik. I visited for ear issues. Before my appointment, I called and specifically asked to be seen by the doctor rather than a PA. I was told that I'd be seen by Dr. Bublik. But a PA is who saw me, two appointments in a row. The only time Dr. Bublik stepped in was for one minute during the first appointment to watch the scope go up my nose. That's it. I had assumed he'd at least be with me for the 2nd appointment. Nope. I wonder if that's because Dr. Bublik is focused on cosmetic procedures and surgeries, not on ENT medicine. The diagnosis was not explained to me nor was the reason for prescribing steroids. A CT for my sinuses was ordered even though I rarely have congestion or sinus symptoms. I would've appreciated an explanation about this because I don't want to do CTs if unnecessary. I felt like their practice pushes balloon dilation surgery even though there are potential complications, none of which were described to me, even when I asked. It's really disappointing because finding an available ENT within my insurance network is very difficult, and some conditions are worsened with time. I have no idea what the accuracy of the allergy tests done on me were. The nurse told me allergies and sensitivities are the same thing, and during the testing, she also said some of the tests aren't standardized. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Bublik. In June 2020 I got a primary rhinoplasty done. My nose had a convex shape to it and I preferred a subtly sloped, feminine shape. I am half-black and half-white, with biracial features that are most prominent in my nose. I expressed my concerns about not wanting to erase my ethnicity through the rhinoplasty surgery and he was very understanding. I asked him to avoid narrowing my nostrils as the widened nostrils were part of my cultural identity. He completely understood and had no desire to try to convince me otherwise. Dr. Bublik was my 4th rhinoplasty consultation and the first to not push me to narrow my nostrils, something that I was adamantly against. When he told me that he didn't think I needed my nostrils narrowed, I knew that he had listened to me in ways that other surgeons hadn't. Many surgeons can be focused on Eurocentric standards of beauty but when I presented my Biracial features to him, he understood that a more customized approach was necessary and did not try to pressure me towards a primarily European look, because I am not primarily European. The day of my surgery, we reviewed exactly what I wanted and he went above and beyond. That night, he called me to check on me and had been very caring during the entire process. I look back at other doctors that I had considered and am continually impressed with and assured of my choice of surgeon. I would send others seeking a rhinoplasty to Dr. Bublik in a heartbeat. This review is long overdue. I have seen Dr. Bublik for many years now. The first time, it was a consultation to address lifelong allergies. I had three consultations before I decided to have my surgery done with Dr. Bublik. The consultation process was virtually seamless; Dr. Bublik and his staff were so kind. They made everything easy and made multiple appointments with me to go over my treatment plan with no hesitation. There were no hidden fees or gimmicks. He is also BOARD CERTIFIED! This is important when you decide to see a doctor for surgery or any other procedure. Dr. Bublik also has taste and is not going to "botch" you or convince you of anything extra that is not needed. After my procedure, Dr. Bublik continued his excellence. He was gentle, caring and understanding. His assistant, Arpi, is also amazing. She is so very sweet and I am always happy to see her. Years later, he also repaired my ear lobe that was stretched out from wearing too heavy earrings. Again, seamless in-office procedure, easy to make an appointment, and follow ups were easy. I think it is really difficult these days to find a doc that you can really trust and feel has your best interests at heart. I can't even remember how I found him but I am so glad that I did. I had a severe case of Chronic Sinusitis and nasal polyps. Back when I had Kaiser, that doctor didn't seem like he cared for my suffering at all. Only medicine he offered was flonase which gave me nose bleeds. I suggested lets just do the sinus surgery because our options had run out, he was still reluctant to do it. Did the surgery, relief came and went in about 30 days. Fast forward to Doctor Bublik, he had several different options for meds which actually worked for a while, I told him I was nervous about having another surgery that wouldn't be successful. Ultimately the surgery was agreed upon and that was in October of last year. I have not had a single issue with my nose since waking up from the procedure. He even offered newer and stronger meds to help better control the polyps from returning and resulting in a 3rd sinus surgery! The one thing that let me know Mike was different, he called me the night of the surgery to check up on me and this was after business hours. I really appreciated that. Dr. Bublik is a wonderful doctor!! He is very skilled and knowledgeable about what he does. I went to Dr. Bublik because I was constantly getting infections and enlarged tonsils which caused sleep apnea and shortness of breath. Dr. Bublik and his staff were able to schedule me quickly and Dr. Bublik was able to diagnose that I had a deviated septum, sinus inflammation as well as chronic tonsillitis. He was able to schedule me for surgery for all of these issues within weeks. Which in these hard times with Covid I was worried I would not get a surgery date for months. I have been dealing with sinus and ear issues for the last 3 years as a freediver. I had seen 3 different ENTs and 1 allergy specialist before Dr. Bublik and tried a variety of treatments, none of which worked. I had tried just about everything that did not require surgery. My doctors told me so many different theories on what was causing my issues, but none of my other ENTs were actually listening to me. They kept telling me it could be x and it could be y, but I knew my body and I could feel what the problem was. I tried to tell them what I thought was going on and I was constantly told that I was wrong, but if they were right, why weren't their recommendations working? Dr. Bublik and his staff listened to me. I explained my situation and after examining my ears and sinuses in person and reviewing a CT scan of my sinuses, Dr. Bublik immediately came up with a plan to accomplish what I wanted to accomplish. Not only did they listen to me and center my treatment around my goals, they are incredibly accommodating. Whenever I have an issue, I call the office and they're able to get me in within 48 hours, if need be. I am currently around 3 months out from surgery and for the first time in 3 years, I was able to do what I love without experiencing pain and discomfort the next day. I was skeptical of Dr. Bublik after one visit, decided to get a second opinion, and made the following observations: Dr. Bublik is extremely overpriced. He billed considerably more for visits and procedures--for example he charged $670 for an endoscopy while the other doctor charged $260. Dr. Bublik has a private practice and in my experience private practices have always been more convenient than hospitals. And I'm ok with paying more for a higher level of service but this was not the case with Dr. Bublik. I was still in the waiting room 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I then waited longer in the examining room and was eventually greeted by Dr. Bublik's assistant. I told him my symptoms and he left the room and relayed them to Dr. Bublik. Not a very personal experience. It took so long for Dr. Bublik to see me that they had to give me a second dose of novocaine for the endoscopy. When Dr. Bublik finally entered he allowed his assistant to operate the endoscopy camera, which at one point became extremely painful. And in general the visit felt very rushed. Dr. Bublik's recommendation for my symptoms was an in-office procedure that costs nearly $9,000, 10% of which I'd be responsible for per Blue Cross. I trusted this was the best option and decided to go forward with BC approving it. After waiting nearly two weeks BC rejected the procedure, saying a patient needs to satisfy four criteria before being approved and I didn't satisfy a single one. I can't imagine Dr. Bublik didn't know this. It was upon realizing Dr. Bublik caused me to lose two weeks of waiting time and seeing his exorbitant fees that I decided to get a second opinion. My new doctor went through the necessary steps to get the procedure approved by Blue Cross and it has been scheduled. He was efficient and didn't recommend any procedures that seemingly only padded his wallet, like Dr. Bublik ordering an in-office allergy test for which he billed $2,076. He operated the endoscopy camera himself and I didn't feel a thing. He also recorded what he saw in my sinuses and discussed it with me and made sure I understood everything.
