It wasn't too overwhelmingly sweet - this is important, since I served it to older adults, who are not fond of super sugary, diabetes inducing cakes (hahah ). But they appreciated the cinnamon-y taste from the pumpkin spice cake. Furthermore, all the fruit on the cake was fresh. There were pomegranate seeds, blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries. All 1000% ripe, fresh, with the right amount of sweetness. The fruits did not seem to be pre-frozen and thawed either. Lastly, the rosemary and cinnamon sticks were a very nice touch to the cake.
