I've moved many times, some international…read moremoves and some interstate moves and I can assure anyone reading this and researching out there that this company was by far the best experience I had moving. The reasons are: they have an amazing customer service, they worked with our needs and they always, always got back at us when we needed, and for that reason if they got a bad review I just don't believe it's real. I usually don't do reviews because I never find the time to do it, but in this case I realized that they really deserve it. We move moved from Georgia to California and it was a big move, 4 bedrooms house. I called many companies in the area and many never returned my calls and others gave me an outrageous quote. Kelly from State to State called me the next day, she was amazing. I've dealt with her from the first date to the last and she was always pleasant and really helpful. She's worked with all our needs. It wasn't an easy move, we didn't have an address in California, everything had to stay in storage but they always found a way to accommodate things for us. Frank, the manager was always really nice and super helpful too. Most importantly, they do what they say. When I first got a quote from Kelly I also got a quote from a company back in California and this one was a thousand dollars cheaper but the customer service I've got from State was so much better that we've decided to go with them and I can tell you now that it was worth every penny. If you've move as many times as we have, you know what I mean. Having said that, I can say to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy moving company, this one is amazing and would definitely call them if we need to move again. Caroline P.

Told them I would call the week they suggested to set the appt. Called to set an appt several weeks before my car pickup and the quote they gave me had gone up. I agreed to the change which was irritating but let it go b/c they said gas prices had increased. They said my car would be picked up within a three day window. Three days went by, no pick up and they called to say within the next few days the car would be picked up. I had to follow up twice with the company and they never picked it up. Six days later the car was still not picked up and we canceled the service. They said they would return our deposit... we will follow up on that and hope they at least do that correctly. We had to cancel our airline tickets and ended up driving the car ourselves across the country. Their lack of professionalism and not doing a service they promised put us in a very difficult position. I do NOT recommend this company- they were apologetic but that didn't solve the problem. They did not provide the service that they lead us to believe they would do. I'm almost glad after seeing how unprofessional this business is managed, they didn't get our business, no telling where my car would end up if it even would! Be careful- this is a lot of money for such a poor service or lack of service as in our case!

I signed up on a site to get quotes, did not notice sellers DOT number was still visible, which allowed transport companies to look up dot number and obtain companies name and phone number, transport companies started contacting the seller to arrange pick up, outside of the site I was using to get bids, misleading the seller as if they were the hired transport company. This made the process more stressful, and caused confusion with the seller. Quotes I received on the website ranged from $2600-$3300.00 to transport the truck. Pick up window averaged up to 7 days after transport as booked. Each company that responded, I checked their reviews on BBB/google, their business registration on Secretary of State in the state they were located, and checked the operating status on FMCSA site. I was surprised to see horrible reviews on BBB, and some unprofessional responses from the companies and some brokerages/transport companies had no authorization status on FMCSA I happened to come across Amerifreight on google by accident! I checked BBB (4.8 rating), S.O.S (active/in compliance) and FMCSA (authorized brokerage). I was interested in speaking with them; they had the best history by far on BBB, authority on FMCSA. I called and spoke with Lisa Henderson. She was the most informative agent I spoke with, very upfront about what her company does and what to expect during the process. They only use companies with 4.5 star rating, they vet each company before they are assigned. She reassured me that she would be with me through the entire process, from arranging transport, pick up, and delivery. After I signed up with Amerifreight, with in a couple of hours Lisa had found a transport company, that could pick up the truck the following day (12/6/23) eta arrival 12/7/2023 for $1415.00, requiring a $315 deposit at time of booking, and remainder paid to transport company. Due to shady transport companies bothering the seller, Lisa went a step further and arranged for seller to contact transport company to arrange pick up time to ensure the truck was released to the correct company. After seller made contact with transport company set up pick up time at noon on 12/6/2023. I immediately received an update, the driver reached out and introduced himself. When driver showed up to load the truck he called me to confirm last 6 digits of vin to ensure correct truck was being loaded. I inquired about ETA a couple hours later for following day, attempt to arrange for someone to be at the shop, driver responded promptly eta 1-2pm, would let me know better eta in the morning. First thing the next morning I received an update transport would arrive around 2:00pm, which ended up being the time of arrival. Truck was unloaded quickly, no issues, guy was nice, professional, thorough at the time of drop off. Lisa kept her word and checked in randomly to ensure we had no concerns during transport! I'm very pleased with my experience with Amerifreight and transport company. They worked together, went above and beyond to ensure our experience was great!

It was my first time…read moreshipping a vehicle, and despite all of the initial research I did, I learned from firsthand experience that working with most major car shipping companies that are broker-based will always be a gamble. I am a student and could not afford anything that wasn't an open-carry, broker-based situation, so I decided to go with Amerifreight. I have mixed feelings that lean more negative than positive. The cons: - I was initially quoted 1,200, which was 200-300 dollars lower than other competitors. That seemed reasonable to me, so I accepted. I soon learned that in the case of Amerifreight, A QUOTE IS A QUOTE. - Once you agree to work with Amerifreight, your representative will periodically call you with carrier offers that might be higher than your original quote. My first offer came a week and a half before my departure date, and was 1,700. I turned it down immediately. Three days before I left for Arkansas, I received and accepted an offer of 1,225 dollars. I am glad that I waited it out, but for those who have less flexibility in their schedule, this waiting game can be anxiety-inducing and frustrating. - The drop off went pretty smoothly, but you REALLY have to be flexible since the carrier gives you such a large time window. - My driver was a day and a half late on the delivery. The carrying company/his boss called me with updates, and I tried to be as patient and accommodating as possible. Once he did arrive, I was hassled by his boss with a barrage of phone calls. He not only yelled at me for not meeting the driver outside immediately but also demanded that I pay upfront in cash, which was definitely NOT stipulated in the agreement. When I told him that I did not agree to pay in cash and that there were no ATMs or banks within walking distance, he continued shouting. In that moment, I was convinced that they were going to hold me and my car hostage, lol. Eventually, the driver had the bright idea to ask his boss if I could either pay using Zelle or Venmo, and the boss immediately switched up, saying, "Oh, why didn't you ask about paying with Zelle or Venmo in the first place? Sure!" Like I knew that was an option...??? After that ordeal, I finally received my car. :)))) Pros: - My car was undamaged, and the cargo I had inside was untouched. - Despite the boss being a total chud, the driver was a nice guy. - I paid a lower price...but at what cost??

This company -- and in particular Alex (Owner/Mover), Dominique (Office Manager), Winston (Mover), and Zack (Mover) -- epitomizes the notion of going above and beyond the call of duty. Dominique handled all the pre-move correspondence, which included accommodating each of my preferences regarding the number of movers, the date and time of the move, and the locations. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and highly-responsive to all of my questions. I scheduled my move to begin at mid-afternoon. Winston and Zack arrived on time, with dollies, hand trucks, and moving blankets, and they were ready to go. They were attentive to my concerns over fragile items. They carefully wrapped all the furniture and framed art with thick, cushioned blankets; and finished loading the truck in no time at all. In short, they were exactly what you want in movers. We arrived at the new complex a few minutes before 6:00pm only to find out that the loading dock and freight elevator closed at 6:00pm. This was seriously unfortunate news. All of my property was in the trailer and now we had no way to unload it. Naturally, I was panicked. I was also concerned about the cost of having to hire these guys at the last second to come back for a second day, plus whatever it was going to cost for them to store all my property overnight at their warehouse. After a quick call to the office, Winston communicated the plan: he was going to retrieve some clothes and toiletries from the trailer to leave with me. They were then going to drive back to their warehouse and lock the trailer with all my property inside. Then, they would drive back up to the new complex the following day to complete the move. And here's what absolutely ensured I would never use another moving company again -- Winston told me that, with the exception of a small fee to cover the cost of the additional gas for the extra trip, they would be doing all of that for free. And that's exactly what they did. The next day, Winston and Alex came back and had all of my belongings in the new apartment, and all of my furniture reassembled, in less than three hours. If you are in the market for a moving company, I honestly cannot recommend Imperial XL Transport highly enough. Everyone I had the pleasure of speaking or working with was genuinely kind, compassionate, and professional. Do yourself a favor and hire Imperial XL Transport!
