As you enter the Coffee House doors, you begin to see the above take form. There are different seating areas with comfortable furniture. There is an area where paintings from locals of the community decorate the walls and are for sale. Another area with arts and crafts for sale as well. Free WiFi so customers can drop by and do some work as they drink a cup of coffee. While I was there, a customer did just that. The owner gave me a warm and friendly welcome and explained all the food items they had for breakfast and lunch. They have freshly baked New York Bagels shippedfrom New York daily. To drink I ordered a medium Caffè Mocha. To eat I ordered a Breakfast Sandwich with a Cloverdale Plain Bagel, with Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. And finish with something sweet, a Cherry Danish. The Mocha was amazingly good The Bagel was very large and fresh; crunchy on the outside and soft and moist ingredients the inside with a nice size portion of Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. I spent some time there and was able to meet one of the employees who happened to arrive during this time. I also met a nice older couple who enjoy eating at different restaurants and I recommended them Crooked Shoreline Steak and Seafood from Daleville, which I just finished eating there and few days before, and was the first to review this restaurant for Yelp. They loved the oral recap of my review and promised they would go that same event to dine there. They in turn recommended me Nakhon Thai Cuisine which I will be doing there and reviewing for Yelp next Tuesday. Amazingly, what I wrote about at the beginning of this review did take place during the time I was there. God has blessed this Coffee House in a very special way, and it was providing more than just food and drinks for the body, but also for the soul. I highly recommend this Coffee House to all reading this review and viewing the photographs taken for it. In this day and age that it is hard to find a place like this to enjoy a cup of coffee, meet interesting people to socialize with, and do some productive work. This Coffee Shop has a refreshing concept that everyone in the community should take advantage of and contribute to its success as well as benefit from it.

Being from out of…read moretown (Virginia Beach) for the holidays I had a lot of family who wanted to meet up and spend some time together and I really didn't feel like going out to a restaurant where I was going to be rushed out after finishing - I wanted to be able to get a drink or snack and sit for an hour or two and not have someone trying to rush me out the door. I immediately thought of this place as it's a mid-point for my dad and where I was staying while in town. We met up over here and I this time ordered a sandwich. I got the roasted chicken croissant which had cheese, spinach, tomato, and some really good artisan mustard or something. The sandwich came with a pickle spear and veggie sticks which are like funions (sp?) but made from much healthier veggies. They were good to me but my dad loved them. This little meal was $6.96 I believe. I also ordered another white chocolate raspberry mocha - yum - but I already talked about that in my previous review. This drink was $3.75 or $3.95 but it's A LOT of drink because they serve it in a large cappuccino mug. MMmmmmm. My dad ordered a breakfast sandwich, a bacon, egg and cheese. The same guy who helped my mom and I the day before was there and asked my dad when he brought my mocha what bread he wanted - they had a ton. There was a plain bagel, a sun-dried tomato bagel, toast, english muffin I think, etc. etc. He listed like 6 things my dad could get it on. He chose the sun-dried tomato bagel at the barista's suggestion and he loved it. His breakfast sandwich was about $3.50 or so. My dad also ordered hot loose leaf black tea which came out steeping in a little pot which had about 2 and a half cups in it. This was $2.00 or so. I mention the prices because this is a reasonably priced place with really good service and food at a decent price. It's what I always look for in a local coffee shop. My dad and I enjoyed our sandwiches and sat and talked and I checked my email on my laptop with the free wifi and showed him some pictures for about two hours total. We were never rushed and we had a very pleasant time here just as my mom and I had the day before. There were ebbs and flows as far as how many people were inside and in line over the two hours we were there but we had a chance to chat with the friendly barista who recognized me from the day before for a while and I asked about this business. Apparently the owners bought into a franchise portion of the coffee shop which I want to say has another 3-4 stores in Georgia but they are very adamant about fresh coffee, fresh food, good service, and a good mission. I believe one of their main issues is charity for African children... I saw some photos around as well as a few religious quotes but very few and not enough to seem preachy. I asked about the business and the barista (I wish I knew his name) mentioned that it had picked up as the Daleville Towncenter was growing and would probably be more busy after the apartments and townhomes are finished in the next few years and more homes and shops move in. He said during the spring and summer the outside firepit area will have some live music sometimes and they will perhaps stay open a little later (they now close at 9pm). Again, I had a great experience here, the service was phenominal and the food and drinks were very good and reasonably priced. I think my dad enjoyed himself too. Plus the views of the beautiful mountains are all around through the large windows in the seating area... and it's gorgeous to see perched on the hill as this shop is across Rt. 220 from CVS and Food Lion. This will be a favorite haunt of mine when I'm in town from Virginia Beach.

It had been a lifelong dream of a team of three: Sadie Smith, Charlie Claus, and Ryan Patton, to open a Coffee Shop where everyone in the community is welcome to relax, chat, hang out, and do the things they enjoy doing while they drink a cup of coffee or tea with a pastry from Bread Craft. This morning I went to visit their Coffee Shop and see first hand their dream come true. It was early in the morning yet the owners were there to personaly greet me and serve me my Coffee. You could see from the sparkle in their eyes how proud they were of working hard to make their special dream materialize. And work hard they did because all the seating areas and stations were made by them and this gives the place a special character. I ordered a Cafe Latte and my friend ordered a drip. Their modern coffee machine made a wonderful coffee and they finished off by making a design on top of the coffee with the cream. Since it was very early the pastries had not yet arrived but I enjoyed talking with the owners about their new business, looking around at their creation, and enjoying the special cup of coffee they made me. I highly recommend this new Coffee House to the entire community as a place to come to wind down, be creative, meet and make new friends, and while at it enjoy a cup a coffee in a relaxed and comfortable environment where everyone is welcomed to hangout.

And what an amazing cuisine it has. A woman owned small business, it reasantly opened it's doors in a location that was closed for nearly 5 years. Franchesca, the owner and chef of the restaurant and store is a proud Philipina entrepreneur living in the US with a passion for food and cooking of her native land cuisine, and a fervent desire to share it with all living in her neighborhood and communities near by. She majored in Hotel and Restaurant in College and as soon as she was presented with an opportunity to make her life dream come true she went for it. I first found out about her restaurant and store by discovering its website online, which by the way was wonderfully designed with useful information about her native cuisine, with an extraordinary menu with professionally taken color photographs of the different mejor items on the menu. Besides her great cooking and business skills, she also has wonderful technology and communication skills. When I phoned her restaurant's telephone number to double check the hours of operation of the restaurant and make sure it was already opened, a recording answered wirh a request to leave a message with any question for her about the restaurant. I decided to call again later rather than leave a message and as soon as I hanged up I received a text message explaining that she had to travel to the Philippines for a short period of time and the date when she'll be back to open the restaurant again. When I called again after she was back, a friendly voice answered the phone, so happy that I was interested in visiting her restaurant and trying out her food. She explained about the trip like if she had known me for a long time with a warm and friendly welcome and positive attitude. She confirmed that the restaurant would be open this Tuesday from 11:00am to 7:00pm, and every Tuesday through Saturday at these same hours. So I invited a friend of mine and we went on Tuesday and arrived around 4:00pm. The restaurant store was located on Stewartsville Rd in East Vinton. Housed in a humble yet very clean, relatively small building. It had a large color poster behind one of the windows with a composite of professionally taken color photographs of many food items of the menu. There were plenty of parking spots in front and around the restaurant, including Handicap parking. The small parking lot Restaurant's front sign was placed over the previous old sign. Inside, the place was clean and comfortable with the dining area on the right with burgundy color booths and the store on the left, and the kitchen in the middle. The owner greeted us behind the counter at the entrance with a warm greeting. She gave us a copy of the menu, asked us to have a seat, and took our drinking order. We both ordered Thai Tea and went to seat at a booth with our menus. In a short while she came to take our order. I ordered a Pinoy Lumpia as appetizer, a Crispy Pork Kare-Kare as my entrée, and my friend ordered a Lechon Kawali. The appetizer was amazingly delicious: crispy on the outside and with shredded pork with tasty sauce in the inside. My entrée was the Filipino famous peanut butter stew with crispy fried pork belly. It tasted just amazing. My friend's entrée was the Lechon Kawali: deep fried skin-on pork belly served with jasmine rice. It also looked wonderful and according to my friend, tasted delicious. For dessert I had their Tiramisu y my friend had the Signature Ube Mocha Cake. Everything was amazingly delicious. While we were eating several other customers came in to dine as well, and the owner of the restaurant came by at the appropriate time to talk to us and bring us water. I highly recommend this restaurant and their amazing cuisine. They have the best deep fried skin-on pork belly, and other amazing entrées, and the owner chef had such a great personality. It truly was an extraordinary dining experience.

Unfortunately, a toasted bagel with butter had the butter on the side, and thus by the time I ate my bagel it was cold and didn't butter the way I wanted it to. Their chai was a syrupy but interesting flavor that emphasized spice more than sugar; at least, the first few sips were before I clumsily dropped it. No blame for them on that. Adding a parfait to eat later was a good decision that gave me energy for the day. They had a wide menu, and while I wanted a bit more from my bagel I could certainly find a quick and easy breakfast downtown here whenever I needed it.
