My man and I came in yesterday for brunch and got a manmosa with blueberry lemonade and it was bomb. We each got a scramble, I wish it was served with a side but they were both filling! The service was great!

Ham Sliders was good.

Food was good but mid. Location is great and the staff Terrific but still food was solid just that 4 stars are reserved for a place I'd go back to. I'd have given it 3.5 if I could.

We got there at 1:30 for brunch As we sat and looked at the menu and went to place our order, and we wanted mimosas for my girlfriends bday celebration.we were told the bar closed at 1:30 and could no longer serve us We ordered a Southwest omelette , no onions on mine, mine came in on a small bread dish one egg with a few vegetables, she had saved me if I wanted anything else!! But did not mention how small the serving it would be !! I assumed it would be enough, I can never finish an entire omelette !! No fruit, no sides , no bread Everything was a la cart $6.99 for 1 egg omelet southwest We were still hungry unfortunately!! I be ok with paying more for a nice full breakfast !!

Typical. Instead of taking responsibility for the employee's actions like leaving a dog bowl on the counter and for the high prices of subpar food, I was sarcastically advised to "go to IHOP if I wanted gourmet food." Seriously? That response says everything. I truly hope this review reaches thousands, because people deserve to know what they're walking into. Rather than owning up to poor service and mediocre food, the owner chose to make excuses. If there had been an IHOP nearby, believe me I would've gladly gone. Unfortunately, I didn't have that option. What's worse? I spoke with other local restaurants, and let's just say your reputation among them is far from flattering. Do yourself and your customers a favor: take accountability for your staff's behavior, fix your standards, and start serving food that matches your prices.

A great breakfast spot with an unexpectedly great experience!! Great staff too. Super nice.

Loved this spot for brunch!! I am visiting a friend in Roanoke and we grabbed brunch here yesterday. It is definitely a cute diner feel, with some more interesting options than your typical diner. I had a half order of their vanilla French toast and a side of apple cider bacon. The French toast amazing!! It had awesome flavor and a hint of cinnamon. So so yummy! A half order is three pieces, so definitely enough for a meal. The bacon was also great. Pro tip: dip it in the maple syrup! The pomegranate mimosa was awesome as well. The juice tasted very fresh and I thought it was a great deal at only 6.99. The service was quick and efficient! They have indoor and outdoor seating. I would definitely recommend this spot for breakfast!!

I couldn't decide but drank them all! Look at that drink of the month for only $6.99!

Easy walk from hotel Roanoke! Clean, very friendly and attentive! We had a new waitress Caitlyn and she was great! Susan the owner also guided us to some great store for shopping! Food was hot when served, and the drink of the month was great! Ohhh and the sausage gravy and biscuits, Yummmmmm'

There's something about Sunday mornings that make you want breakfast/brunch. And it is no different when you are on vacation. So before ending our trip to Roanoke to head home, I wanted to get some breakfast at this charming spot in the Downtown area attached to the historic City Marketing building. Clearly I wasn't the only one with the idea as it had quite a crowd waiting for tables. We liked our chances as a party of two and were luckily sat in about 20 minutes at the counter/small high top table seating inside. They do have a nice enclosed garden patio, which would of been great for the weather, but the wait for this area I'm sure was much longer. A simple menu where eggs clearly are the star with scrambles, egg combos, and sandwiches. They do have pancakes and French toast if eggs just aren't your thing. My husband got the Market Executive Sandwich (Hard fried egg on texas toast with bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and mayo). This is served with choice of side and he went for grits. The sandwich was a little sad looking. I know a BLT is simple food, but iceberg lettuce just doesn't add anything. The bread was nicely toasted but felt like more bread than any of the other ingredients. As the eggs were over hard, you don't even get the runny yoke goodness. The sandwich was fine, but think it could use some upgrades. The grits were tasty though. I went balls to the wall and ordered the Star City Skillet. You basically get to build your own skillet. The base can be home fries or grits with cheddar cheese, sausage gravy, your choice of meat, and topped with two eggs cooked to order. You also get your choice of bread. I am a sucker for sausage gravy so that's a given in my breakfast selections and felt this dish also let me try almost everything else. I did fries for the base, turkey sausage patties for meat, eggs over easy, and a biscuit for my bread. This skillet was delicious. I clearly won this meal as my husband kept going for bites. A photo doesn't do it much justice as there's so many flavorful layers beneath. Very heavy and filling, but I saw worth it. We had good service and we got a nice inside look at the staff due to our seat. It was nice seeing the boss interact so sweetly with his servers/team while he handled making all the mimosa and other brunch cocktails. Could tell they support each other and that just made the meal more enjoyable. I can see why this place is a hot spot in the area. It's probably best for my waistline I was visiting and can't be temped by that skillet often!

I have truly enjoyed dining in each and every one of them. But Bread Craft, located in the Star City of Roanoke, is in a class of its own. After being ranked 4th among Yelp's Top 50 Most Prolific Elites of 2025, a distinction recognizing my consistent community engagement and high-quality contributions, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants, businesses, and establishments, and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to go back and write follow-up reviews on those places that impressed me the most during 2025, and Bread Craft Bakery, located in Downtown Roanoke, is the perfect example of one of them. Bread Craft is a premier, artisan European-style bakery established in 2006 by owner Alex Eliades, who besides having a passion for baking, has over 25 years of baking experience, and leads the bakery focusing on traditional slow-fermentation techniques. The bakery is known for its high-quality, scratch-made sourdough, pastries, and Croissants. It evolved from a wholesale operation into a popular 6,000 square foot café on Church Avenue, also supplying local restaurants. The bakery specializes in Franch and German-style baking, utilizing sourdough as a natural leavener. It servers breakfast and lunch items, including sandwiches, salads, and some creative breakfast egg entrées. They are open Wednesdays through Sundays from 8:00AM - 2:00PM and are well known for running out of items before the end of the day. For this review I visited the Bakery / Café for breakfast on two consecutive Wednesdays. The first Wednesday I arrived too late to be able to have their Chorizo & Eggs Cocotte from their Breakfast menu. Breakfast is only served until noon, and I found out about this on that day. So instead I had a Cheese Danish and a house-made Mocha Coffee. Both items were delicious. On the second Wednesday I arrived much earlier for breakfast. Luckily, right before a whole rush of customers arriving to place Take-out orders. As soon as I walked inside I immediately felt comfortable with its clean and contemporary architectural design and decor, and an exposed red brick wall that gave it a warm ambiance. One can see that the owner spent a substantial amount in renovating the place when they moved here, and that they took good care of it, because it looked as if it had just opened for the very first time yesterday. While I was looking over all the baked items they had, I received a friendly greeting and warm welcome from a lady behind the counter who seemed to be the manager and took my order. To start I ordered a Chorizo Quiche which happened to be the Quiche of the day, and a house-made Mocha Coffee. Then since I was planning to turn this into a Brunch, for my main entrée I ordered their Chorizo Cocotte from the Breakfast menu. And for dessert I had a Chocolate Hazelnut Croissant that was simply irresistible. Everything tasted amazingly delicious, especially since I love Chorizo. The Quiche had an amazing crust with the eggs inside cooked with the perfect amount of chorizo. The Chorizo Cocotte was served in an elongated bowl with two poached eggs over Spanish sausage, accompanied by three slices of freshly made Baguette. And if all this wasn't enough, the Chocolate Hazelnut Croissant was the perfect ending dessert to this fabulous put together Brunch. Oh and the coffee was the best of the best. I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review to get a better sense of the place and the quality of their food. What an outstanding dining experience I just had at Bread Craft. Wonderful ambiance, amazing food, and extraordinary customer service. I highly recommend this Bakery/Café whenever you're in the area. Bill always greets me when I'm having breakfast and he stops by. Just the other day, I ran into him and his family at McAlister, where they were having dinner. My usual breakfast there is two fried eggs over easy, with bacon, homefries, and white toast. I also enjoy their omelets. On weekdays they are one of the few restaurants that open at 6:00AM, so it gives you an opportunity to get a head start of the day. The server is a very friendly and hospitable young lady, who is always looking after her customers to see if they need a coffee refill or would like a glass of iced water to enjoy with their food. Today I had the usual breakfast. No matter how the cook prepares my breakfast, it always tastes so good. The white Texas toast is always fresh and soft, and the eggs and bacon tastes just right. I also enjoy looking at the historic photographs on the brick wall and their flamboyant decor. Their prices are reasonable enough to be able to leave a well deserved good tip. They also have another location in nearby Salem. I used the app for getting in line which typically works flawlessly. My time to arrive was 15-20 and upon arrival in that frame a table was ready. A host seated us with menus and silverware. Our group of four looked over the menu as a waitress arrived minutes later. She got the drink order and arrived back in short order. We were ready to order. I cannot remember what everyone got, but I had the Spring chimichurri special and added an avocado. The dining room was packed as was their outdoor patio. The noise was elevated, but not piercing. We had a table near the patio. I enjoyed my coffee as we waited for brunch orders. It's impossible to not be impressed with the hard working staff as they quickly moved through the dining room. After around 15 to no more than 20 minutes the food hit the table. The millionaire bacon is always a huge hit and recommend. Everyone's dishes were correct. My dish overall looked smaller than I've had before. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. The avocado add was two tiny pieces which was disappointing. When our waitress checked in I alerted her the avocado add on was underwhelming. She immediately addressed it with additional. She also got another water craft. Checkout was efficient up front. In my opinion First Watch offers a higher level service, good and atmosphere. Later on when I reached the place I was going, I sat down and enjoyed eating one of the best Biscuits that I have ever had. It was buttery and soft in the inside and toasty and crispy on the outside. Got a TUDE from her with a "I would have came over, you didn't have to move". Then another guy just walks up, she gives him a menu and then his drink, I have neither. Finally she comes over my way, I asked if I could place a take out over. She grabs a menu, drops it in front of me and walks to the other end of the bar without asking or taking my drink order.
