Mushroom swis burger with onion rings, eggs, bacon and toast breakfast.

Quick stop for lunch on the way down the highway. 3 of us for burgers one got breakfast. The wings appetizer was very tasty. One meal was made incorrectly, but they were quick to fix it and replace it. Server was very nice and I liked how you could see in through the kitchen and there were all female cooks !

This was delicious food was soft and flavorful.

Oh my gosh. To be honest I saw the sign for Shoneys and immediately exited the interstate to go. But it's been closed for renovations since covid, said the sign. So disappointed. However when I found a spot to turn around, I saw Angelle's Diner. Ok, let's go!. Overhearing the employees when I sat down, they were exhausted and just ended a huge breakfast rush. So I didn't mind that I sat there a while before being attended too. Place looked like a typical diner. Waitress was super nice. And took my breakfast order..Belgium Waffle with 2 scrambled eggs and bacon. (Usually, I get gravy biscuits but they only had sausage gravy) Breakfast was served. My Waffle was delicious!! I was excited because Usually my waffles are thin and even sometimes crispy! Eww crispy Waffles! (Enter Black Twig,Sperryville) eww. This Waffle was fluffy, tasted like buttermilk and vanilla! So good and the bacon was perfect Not crispy, not fatty and greasy... Eggs perfect. Breakfast was a hit. Great diner food here. Breakfast all day.

Nice place for breakfast, simple menu with traditional breakfast options. Small, but clean and good music playing. Clean bathroom. Service was decent. Excellent desserts. Spinach could have been fresher but the garden skillet was scrumptious

Ordered French toast and that was good. Ordered a vegetarian bowl. It was scant I would not recommend that plate. Slightly stressed but good service. Comfortable diner type atmosphere

Driving down I-81, this place is right off the highway. We chose the place because of it's excellent reviews. Nice ambience and friendly staff. We sat outside and enjoyed our brunch. Prices are reasonable. I think the breakfast is all day. A very enjoyable meal

Cowboy Burger with an extra patty - AMAZING!!!

We randomly stopped by Angelle's Diner on a trip back to Northern VA and are so glad we did! I ordered the Cowboy Burger with an extra patty -- it was massive, perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. My wife had the Cranberry Chicken Salad, which was fresh, filling, and full of great flavor. Our kids split the 2 Egg Breakfast and devoured it -- the fresh, fluffy biscuits were a big hit too. Our server, Angie, was outstanding -- incredibly attentive and personable, especially with two kids making a million requests. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this wonderful diner -- we'll definitely make it a point to stop in again!

I love what they've done to the old Waffle House location. It's been spruced up nicely, and their food is still affordable while being better for you than greasy spoon food, while having all the flavor you want in a quick meal. The portions were generous but truly the waitress steals the show here. She was a riot to talk to and you can tell the regulars just love her. The best part of the meal was the dessert. They had a banana cream pie that was probably one of the best I've had since my mom stopped baking. It was truly spectacular, and worth the trip in itself.

And that is precisely what I discovered when I visited Top Dawgs Pub & Deli for the very first time this late afternoon for a late lunch and early dinner. This casual family-owned and operated American restaurant for over 12 years is located in the Roanoke/Botetourt County area and is known for its pub fare like hot dogs, burgers, and wings, with a large selection of craft beers and Coke products. When I arrived, I immediately noticed this family-oriented restaurant's community-focus. There were signs up of Family Meal Box, Taco Tuesday Family Pack, Karaoke Every Other Saturday, and Sunday Funday. There were couples, young and older dining there, as well as families. It's dog-themed decor was very unique, with dogs pictures all around the walls. It had seating areas with high tables and chairs, low tables and chairs, and chairs at the bar counter. The large screen high definition TVs were set at an appropriate distance so one could conveniently watch a game while dining there and having some beers. As soon as I entered, a young lady in the back asked me to seat at the table of my choice, and then she came down to bring me a menu and take my drink order. Even though they had an extensive selection of beers, since I was driving, I opted for an iced-cold Coke. To dine I started out with a Bam Bam Shrimp appetizer. The shrimps weren't Jumbo as described in the menu, but tasted delicious with the bam bam sauce. And to dine I ordered a Cowboy Burger that came with in-house made potato chips that were out-of-this-world and a Cheezy Dawg. The burger came in a fresh, soft bun and the patty was juicy and cooked to perfection, although the bacon inside was not crispy and I couldn't see the onion ring inside, it tasted good with the cheddar cheese and BBQ sauce. The home-cut potato chips were just amazing. Best I've ever had. And the hot dog was an all beef quarter pound jumbo hot dog, split in the center and had chili, cheese, onions, and mustard, also in a fresh hot dog bun, and I added some ketchup as well. My server Tammie made sure to refill my drink without me having to mention it to her. For dessert I had their Fried Oreo Cookies and they tasted amazingly delicious. The best I've ever had. They were about 5 or 6 fresh Oreo cookies dipped in a light batter and fried mildly, then sprinkled with sweet powder sugar. They were so good and I was so full that I took 3 of them home with me to have as a snack later on. To pay, my server brought me a convenient little machine, where I paid with one of my credit cards, including my tip, Overall it was an extraordinary, relaxing dining experience and I highly recommend this restaurant when you want to have a truly enjoyable American meal.

Friday's, which is just across the street from the Mall. So as soon as I found out, I made plans to go visit them in their new location and write a review so as to bring this happening to the attention of many who are not aware of this change, or are aware that it was going to happen, but are not aware that it already has taken place. After being awarded the Triad Yelper of the Year 2024 Award at the Yelpies Award Ceremony last year, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to uncover those found in hidden paths that for one reason or another have not reached the public in its totality. And Buffalo Wild Wings in its new location on Valley View Blvd, in Roanoke, Virginia, is a perfect example. Their new location has plenty of parking and just across the street is the Valley View Mall parking lot, near the Macy's entrance to the Mall, that could also easily be used if theirs gets full. They did an excellent renovation of the building, both in the exterior and interior, with special parking spaces for Take Out orders exclusively, right near the entrance for Take Out orders. The main entrance to the restaurant is in the left corner of the building, and has a spectacular tall entrance with their logo in giant size on both sides of the corner. Inside, they did wonders creating an Open architectural design with beautiful polished floors, and finished ceiling, to give it an air of distinction. With a combination of booths and tables with chairs throughout the restaurant and plenty of windows, you had the perfect environment in which to enjoy some quality time with family and friends dining some comfort food. The Hostess warmly greeted me and invited me to take a seat wherever I wanted and I went and sat at one of the booths next to the windows. My server, Brittany arrived shortly with a big friendly smile and took my order. To drink I ordered an Iced Sweet Tea. And as my main entrée a Triple Bacon Burger served with natural-cut French fries. The Burger was so big, tall, and juicy that while I was eating it, it fell apart. The fries were the cut I like them. As I was enjoying my meal, I admired the interior decor of the restaurant. At the end they had a large bar with windows and counters that led to the outdoor patio area, and full of large screen TVs, and a large quantity of draft beers. The manager came by to greet and welcome me and see that I was enjoying everything. For dessert I had their New Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillet. Simply delicious. I highly recommend this place for a relaxed dining experience with good food and drinks, wonderful ambiance and excellent customer service.

The new renovations look great and restaurant is more accessible now. The side carry-out entrance makes picking up to-go orders quicker and easier too. As for the food, my recent BOGO boneless wings order in Caribbean Jerk and Hot BBQ sauces was tender and well sauced. Though I hope a worthwhile business moves into their old location, I think it was a wise move for Buffalo Wild Wings to move out of the mall and into the stand alone location so they can handle serving larger crowds.

Until that one day that you decided to stop, and explore a whole new culinary world. After having been selected as number 4 of the Top 50 most prolific Elites of 2025, a year when I also was awarded the Yelp Triad Squad Photographer of the Year Award at the Yelpies 2025 Award Ceremony, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, and where last year I was awarded the Yelp Triad Squad Yelper of the Year Award, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to uncover those found in hidden paths that for one reason or another have not reached the public in its totality. And Coach & Four Restaurant, in Roanoke Virginia is a perfect example. At first it was just a large colonial house turned restaurant on Williamson Road in Roanoke, Virginia. But once I decided to stop and explore it, it has become one of my favorite restaurants in Roanoke, Virginia. Its uniqueness lies not only in its colonial atmosphere and in its classic American cuisine, but primarily in its amazing staff that from the time you walk in begin to make your fine-dining experience one that you'll always remember and cherish dearly. Their refined behavior creates a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere that create unforgettable dining experiences. Today, after having gone through one of the worst snow and ice storms in years, I decided to not allow the icy roads to hold me back, and requested a Lyft to take me there for dinner. As soon as I arrived, the friendly host came out to greet me and take me to a table of my choice. My server from the first time I dined there, happened to recognize me and took me to the booth where I had dined the first time I ever dined there. We discussed a Mocktail for me to drink and she came back with an amazing drink, and a small meatball as an "amuse-bouche," designed to prepare ones palate for the meal. After studying the restaurant's extensive menu, I ordered their Bacon Wrapped Scallops as appetizer. For my main entrée I ordered the Prime Rib Combination that consisted of a generous portion of roasted prime rib served with a delicious lobster tail. For the two sides that came with my main entree, I had their famous tossed salad with their in-house made blue cheese dressing and a loaded baked potato. The scallops were not so big in size but big in flavor and texture. The salad was amazing, as always. The main entrée looked well at first, but when I cut into the prime rib it was too well done to be able to appreciate the flavor of the meat. But my server came by, as promised, to see if the prime rib was cooked to my satisfaction, and when I told her it was too well done for my original request of medium-rare, she gracefully apologized and took it back. Returning shortly with another piece of prime rib more to my liking. For dessert I had a slice of Pecan Pie a la mode, which by the way was amazingly delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for one of the best fine-dining experiences of your life. And am looking forward to returning and ordering ahead of time their Baked Alaska to have for dessert.
