This is a really cute coffee spot. We ate here for lunch and got the ham and cheese club on a pretzel bun and it was delicious!

We stopped in to get lunch. This restaurant has a limited menu. We can adjust to that! However, when I looked at the receipt I was shocked to see that a plastic very small cup of water drawn from the tap (city water) they actually charged one cent! 0.01 Really?? It shows how they taking advantage of customers. Until now I have never been charged in any restaurant for regular tap water. OMG! Would we go back? No. Would I recommend it? No. It may be only one cent but it shows the customer that this cafe wants to screw you anyway they can. Pathetic. read more

We had an awesome breakfast at Bridge Street Cafe on our way to Smith Mountain Lake from Lynchburg. The breakfast bagel and brioche were spot on--so tasty! We met Tim, one of the owners, who runs the place with his son. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, just a cute little gem of a cafe. We'll definitely be back for more! read more

I was in Bedford,VA, for a friend's wedding this past weekend, and I went here for breakfast on my way out of town. It's a cute coffee shop with breakfast sandwiches and pastries. I had an everything bagel breakfast sandwich with egg and bacon that was delicious. The coffee was also very good, and there were lots of coffee options, though I had a basic drip coffee. But what makes this place so special are the owners, husband and wife, who moved to the mountains of Virginia from Philadelphia, and they have created this wonderful coffee shop in the quaint downtown area of Bedford. They are welcoming and friendly, and they also run a cute gift shop next door called The Fuzzy Alpaca, where I got some lovely gifts for friends and family. If you're in Bedford, you should definitely stop by! read more

My wife and I were enjoying a walk in downtown Bedford. We decided to try out Bridge Street Cafe for a cup of coffee. The inside is beautiful and the outdoor seating area is one of the best in downtown. We ordered the seasonal coffee and we both really enjoyed it. My wife, daughter visit and are always feel exceptionally welcome by Justin and his father and the staff are incredible. to be served by someone who wishes to be served is a complete beyond words. Awesome to sit on the deck during the summer while the workd drives by. Love sitting at the high tables in doors in the winter where Justin is happy to come over and chat for a while, he's a busy man making sure everyone's needs are being met. Finally a coffee shop in Bedford! The interior is a bright pop of color, clean, classy, & professional. It made me excited to order. The music that played was fitting for the area: country, but it wasn't invasive to our conversation. There's also several TVs. I had their lunch BBQ Ranch Chicken & Bacon Wrap and a hot Chai Latte it came out to $15.5, including tip. My friend ordered a Triple Berry Tart and a Triple Latte came out to $9.50. The wrap was surprisingly good - even with the BBQ - and came with chips and a pickle. It's served on sturdy paper plates; which I hope are recycled. The Chai wasn't my favorite, but grew on me after a bit. However, my friend said her triple latte and tart were perfect. All in all, this is a welcome addition to the community and I hope to see them flourish. read more

This is a great place to meet for coffee. I loved the ambience and this will definitely be a place I will go in the future. They did not have soy milk but they did have almond milk and I was surprised that I really liked the almond milk cappuccino that I had. Kudos to the barista!! The food however was under par. As someone who does not eat bread, I wish there had been a fresh fruit/vegetable and scrambled egg option. I ended up having just an egg and that was disappointing. If you do eat bread this is the place to go. I also enjoyed the pro American, pro USA, pro US veteran vibe there. That was extremely refreshing. I also liked the clientele there and the down-home feeling. Great ambience if you love America. I definitely recommend this establishment!!! read more

We used Bridge Street Cafe for a catered lunch this past weekend when our Central Virginia Miata Club had an event at the D-Day Memorial in Bedford. From our first contact with Justin to his delivery of the lunches, everything was A+. He was always responsive to our emails and phone calls, answering all of our questions and going above and beyond with what was needed. Delivery of lunches was on time and organized. He even labeled each boxed lunch/salad with the person's name making it easier on us to hand out lunches. The food was great - the chipotle chicken wrap getting the most rave reviews! We had a delicious breakfast at the Bridge Street Cafe, with Cafe au lait perfectly prepared in addition to a great homemade cinnamon roll, yummy yogurt and fresh fruit; and a bagel with egg, cheese, and bacon.
