One Love Coffee House is more than just a place to get coffee. It was created with a focus on community and connection; providing a space for customers to relax, socialize, or work in a comfortable environment. As you enter the Coffee House doors, you begin to see the above take form. There are different seating areas with comfortable furniture. There is an area where paintings from locals of the community decorate the walls and are for sale. Another area with arts and crafts for sale as well. Free WiFi so customers can drop by and do some work as they drink a cup of coffee. While I was there, a customer did just that. The owner gave me a warm and friendly welcome and explained all the food items they had for breakfast and lunch. They have freshly baked New York Bagels shippedfrom New York daily. To drink I ordered a medium Caffè Mocha. To eat I ordered a Breakfast Sandwich with a Cloverdale Plain Bagel, with Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. And finish with something sweet, a Cherry Danish. The Mocha was amazingly good The Bagel was very large and fresh; crunchy on the outside and soft and moist ingredients the inside with a nice size portion of Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. I spent some time there and was able to meet one of the employees who happened to arrive during this time. I also met a nice older couple who enjoy eating at different restaurants and I recommended them Crooked Shoreline Steak and Seafood from Daleville, which I just finished eating there and few days before, and was the first to review this restaurant for Yelp. They loved the oral recap of my review and promised they would go that same event to dine there. They in turn recommended me Nakhon Thai Cuisine which I will be doing there and reviewing for Yelp next Tuesday. Amazingly, what I wrote about at the beginning of this review did take place during the time I was there. God has blessed this Coffee House in a very special way, and it was providing more than just food and drinks for the body, but also for the soul. I highly recommend this Coffee House to all reading this review and viewing the photographs taken for it. In this day and age that it is hard to find a place like this to enjoy a cup of coffee, meet interesting people to socialize with, and do some productive work. You cannot beat the customer service here. I asked Autumn to make me absolutely anything (I gave her my old favorite and left her to her own creativity) and she could not have been more receptive or have made a better drink!!! She crafted a maple dirty chai with gingerbread cold foam and all I can say is WOW. Not only that, but she knew all the customers by name, checked on everyone, and even refilled waters at their tables. Autumn truly made my day! read more

Perfection, all around. They've nailed the chill, cozy coffee-shop vibe. Loved the lo-fi jazzy music, decor, service, seating areas, coffee, baked goods and location. Stopped by twice while I was visiting the area and tried a cappuccino, latte, cinnamon roll, and blueberry muffin. Their coffee drinks are perfectly frothed and have just the right blend of coffee + milk. The baked goods are worth every calorie! They're from a local catering company and are so fresh and sinful. Wow! This place was amazing. Welcoming, inviting, comfy ambience, great food and coffee! I'm new to the area and I think I've found my new reading/working spot! Their pastries come from Nick of Thyme bakery and are really large in size. I ordered Fall in a Cup and an apple danish. The owner (I believe) heated it up and it was delightful with my coffee. They have outdoor seating and a ton of indoor seating. I also learned that they will be having some love music as well. Can't wait to go back! read more

Came in from out of town. Ordered a honey and salt latte to go. HATED that they used styrofoam and plastic straws. Its 2021. Also ordered an avocado green smoothie. Came completely pink? It was jam packed with pineapple but there wasn't any avocado in it. Also ordered a chicken salad sandwich. This was delicious. There were two workers and I definitely felt that they were overwhelmed. Also, someone went a little cricut happy all over the walls. Couldn't pin down the vibe of this place. What a great find. We often make the roundtrip drive from DC to CLT every few months and this area is at about the halfway mark for us. It's New Years Day so lots of things were closed, including our normal stopping spots, and we were lucky to find One Love Coffee House. It is SUPER clean. Tables are well spaced given the times and the bathrooms were very, very clean. We were going to grab coffee/snacks and go, but decided we felt comfortable enough to stay and eat. The vibe is cozy, chill coffee house with tables and couches, art on the walls and some branded swag. (I regret not getting a mug!) We met the owner and other staff who were beyond lovely. Just wonderful service and hospitality and genuinely friendly and kind. Even offered us some nice warm soup on the house on a cold and rainy travel day. :) They have wonderful warm cider donuts and lots of other pastries as well as sandwiches/wraps, healthy smoothies, and a signature dish called a slice which has fillings like pizza, or bacon egg & cheese, and others baked into a dough. It's 5 minutes from 81 and makes a perfect stop to grab coffee, tea or smoothies and some light fare, fuel up the car at Shell (a minute more down the road), & then head back on your way. And FYI, they also have a drive -through window - which we found convenient but also uncommon for an independent coffee house. I learned from chatting with the owner that he renovated a pharmacy to open his shop (thus the drive-through window!) And that he opened end of March 2020! Besides this simply being a great little spot, and a convenient stop for folks traveling on 81, I wanted to write this review to just support this awesome small business - especially during these difficult times. I love this place, down to the atmosphere shaped by the lights and vintage seats to the friendly staff that greets you before they take your order. Not to mention there lattes are to die for! They are so good every time and their flavors change with the season so it never gets old. But it doesn't stop there! The food here is a perfect pick me up when I'm doing homework all morning. This place is really cute inside and I want to like it, but overall there coffee and espresso drinks are not well crafted and over priced. I got a simple mocha which tasted like hot milk.. all of our drinks were not well made. Got a cinnamon bun it tasted rubbery overcooked and my bagel again was not properly toasted underdone and not good. Customer service was good, but We've decided not to waste anymore money here. But atmosphere is really neat I just wish there baristas were properly trained. (I am a barista) I should'nt have to tell them how to create simple drink orders. read more

Purchased two large drip coffees which were lukewarm when received. The coffee, which did contain cream, resembled tea more than coffee. Unfortunately, it tasted like very weak coffee. I elected to trash it and go to another local shop. We also tried the chocolate espresso bread and chocolate chip muffin. Both were microwaved without us requesting which ruined the consistency of the bread and made the muffin hard to eat. They might have been decent without the nuking. The atmosphere inside the establishment is nice. Outdoor seating is in the full sun in the morning but they do have some patio seating to the side of the building under the trees. read more

If you can think of a drink they will make it; just ask. Try the pastries/baked goods; they are sourced locally from about one mile away and are delicious. Very nice coffee shop! I have gotten the hummus wrap here, a tuna sandwich on a croissant, and an apple cider chai and they have each been delicious. Love the artsy atmosphere and art they sell here. As a guitar player, I enjoy picking up the guitar they have and strumming and picking away as I wait for my food. read more

I went for the first time today and LOVED it! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I got a latte with the "fall in a cup" flavoring and would highly recommend. It was a nice balance of not being too bitter or sweet. I also had a pumpkin muffin which was to die for! I like this new, local coffee spot. It has a drive through with a lot of options. We also got the $2 sticker that gets you 10% off each time. Very convenient and friendly. The employees are always wearing masks. The only thing I would say is I wish they always had stoppers for their hot coffees so I didn't have to worry about spilling on the drive home. Coming from the Pacific Northwest that has independent coffee spots all over, I'm so glad to have found this spot to go to instead of the big chain Dunkin's or Starbucks. read more

You have to be open when you say you're open. Otherwise, customers who drive 20 minutes out of their way, arrive 10 minutes prior to your posted closing to pull at the door to find you CLOSED get very irritated at unprofessionally run business. If I could give this a no star rating, I would. Maybe their coffee is good, but I would stay away from their breakfast slices. Just went through the drive in, which in fact had one lane blocked so you could not get out of line if you changed your mind, and I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese slice at $5.85 including tax. The pastry was creasy, the bacon was not cooked, and the eggs were hard. I had to throw it away. A complete disappointment. read more
