The reviews and people raving about this place is true. I was driving a Lyft passenger home and he asked if I'd be cool dipping by here and of course I said yes. More money on the ride but as a driver, I pay for any drive thru or stops. I earn my 5 stars and tips. #RideLyft So I try the place out and bam. It was delicious. "Better than any high end cuisine I've cooked or eaten" my passenger said. He was right. Since then I've kept thinking about my return but eventually forgot. Fast-forward to the present(December 2016) and now I'm back and remembering this fabulous catfish. The only thing I'd love with it is some lemon juice. It's in beacon hill. I live 40 min away with no traffic in Lynnwood. Let me tell you. This convenience store/gas station is worth the not so convenient drive for me. This is one of my favorite gas station on Beacon Hill. Sometimes I do not have time to get to Costco for gas, so coming here to get gas for the cars is a god send. The best part is the food mart because they have the best fried gizzards, corndogs, chicken and jo jos. They have expanded with more items but those of my faves. I could also get my gum and redbull filling up the tank all at the same time. I love me some spicy fried chewy gizzards! TIP: You can ask for a sample of the gizzards to see if it is fresh or been under the heat lamps for a long time. They will make a new batch for you if you have time to wait. This station has coupons available in the Entertainment Book. I went out of my way to give them a chance. Past interactions with them have been unpleasant and this time was no different. The manager has apparently instructed his staff not to honor their coupons. I've lodged a complaint with Entertainment, but this is just poor service and a deceitful business practice. Entertainment coupons are not required of the franchise and their address was listed so they had to have arranged to be listed. Not to honor their own coupon is the same as posting one price at the pump and charging another to customers. It's just plain dishonest. Avoid this station! read more

I never liked pumping gas as much until I came to this gas station. why you ask? because you can get fried chicken, cat fish, and freaking yummy fried foods! Lovessssss it!!! Finally got to check out this place for the catfish and it was legit. I've had plenty of catfish during my time living in the south and this was pretty good. The fish was tender and the breading was done well. The only difference is that I found the breading to be a little bit on the salty side but otherwise very edible. I ordered a half pound of gizzards and a half pound of the boneless spicy wings and I don't recommend either. The gizzards were fried well but the breading was incredibly salty and I couldn't eat them after a few pieces. I ended up peeling off the breading which defeats the purpose of buying fried gizzards! The spicy boneless chicken wings were nothing but spicy chicken nuggets out of a foster farms package and it was not crunchy, just soft and bleh very disappointing at $6.79 per pound. I took two bites and threw the bag away. Come here for the cat fish and nothing else and you'll be happy. read more

Seattle's best kept secret! I'm telling you their unbelievable fried catfish can go toe to toe with any I've had while living down south for several years. Reminds me of Memphis. Way better than my old go to spot Catfish Corner. The spicy chicken would be a close second. Always super friendly service. The manger Drew always gives love to the vets who come in.since the main Seattle Veterans Hospital is just right down the street. I only wish my local Shell had that delicious catfish and chicken. I'm basing this review on the food. I always thought their food was delicious here. Over the top. Until recently, I came again, and was very disappointed. I had a burrito, and it was just too oily and crispy. The burrito, was beans and rice I think. It was mushy, lacked flavor, and was not appetizing. Their fried chicken, was tasty. It was good, but lacked in some flavor. It was a heck of a lot better than their burrito. I liked this place b/c they have a wide selection of food, and it's fresh quality. Very friendly people here. Unfortunately, I've had better "corner-store" food at other places. Aside from their food, their car was isn't bad. I like the drive-thru's better than the sit and wait for it to wash you. This location for gas isn't bad. Can sometimes be bad for traffic-wise. But otherwise, the prices are typical gas. read more

I go to this gas station for one thing: catfish. That's right, not gasoline just spicy crispy catfish. They have it in their hot food case and you purchase it by the pound. Stopping to get gas at the corner of Beacon and 14th, expecting the usual station fair of jerky and soda one is woefully unprepared for what lies ahead. The room is set aglow with a Rococo shimmering cathedral to the foodie anti-Christ. Blasting heat lamps stolen from the local football field bath an ocean of Jo-jo's, crispito's, taquito's, jalapeño poppers, Burrito's, chmichanga's, blue balls, chicken wings and other undistinguishable nuggets of golden fried goodness. Oh, maven of the fry, deacon of the dip, praise the geometric precision with which you stack the landscape of your nutritional wasteland. Organic, forget it, slow food, no time; I'll take two sides of ranch from the dozens of perfectly portion cups stacked against the wall. Surrounded by five gallon buckets of dipping batter the fryer bubbles and roars like a witches medieval cauldron. Bobby mans the tongs, two poppers gets three, what else for thee? Not a burnt wing or cold nugget make's it past his watchful eye. Jamie Oliver has nothing on you my friend. This Shell Station has the BOMBEST CATFISH in the entire city. It's cheap, hot and delicious. Better than any other restaurant I've been to in Seattle. Remember to ask for some hot sauce and tartar sauce and just sit and eat in your car with your hands. So good. read more

I have been coming to this gas station to get gizzards since 1998! Over the years, the owners have changed and you can tell by the food. The gizzards are way more chewy and the jojos are more like potato halves. They gizzards are still great but for $5.49 a pound, Ezells would be a better way to go. Their catfish is (as mentioned) great but nothing you couldn't go without. After all they are $7.99 a pound. One fillet will run you about $6-8. This gas station is overall great. Their beer and snack selection is pretty darn good and well stocked. read more

This place is top notch. They have the nicest, most friendly cashiers of any convience store I have ever been to. And boy let me tell you about that manager. Drew seems to have a solution for any problem I have ever told him about and he knows the seattle area like the back of his hand! Their catfish is out of this world and always fresh. The gas is always a few cents more expensive than the 76 across the street, but you can get fried chicken and fish and gizzards inside!! There's often some fun music playing inside too. Stopped in for gas and ended up getting a awesome breakfast, it was a good sized one not no small little one like u get at a fast food place. Then a week later stopped in at lunch time on way home, and they had lasagna had to try it, it was almost as good as mine. Now its just a small store, but the deli food and service makes up for it.
