This gas station is known for their hot food that they serve. Especially the fried chicken and fried catfish. When we pulled into the parking lot, you could see the place was popping. Everyone I saw walk out, had that white bag in hand which indicated they were coming out with hot food. Inside it's your typical gas station setting and the food is up front by the cashier. You get in line to go to the cashier and order there. We ordered wing, thigh and leg. And we also ordered two pieces of catfish and 1/2 lb of jojos. I was upset about the chicken. Every single person that gassed this place up has never had good fried chicken in their life. It lacked seasoning and was soooooo dry. Literally choking down bites of a chicken leg to go down. Thank goodness I purchased an ice tea to drink, or I would have been in serious trouble. The thigh was just just as dry. For dark meat to be this dry, I couldn't even begin to comprehend how overcooked it was. As dry as it was - you would expect it to be burnt on the outside. But the saving grace was the catfish. For the price point, it delivered on all expectations. On our visit it was $8.99/lb. The catfish was everything the chicken was not. It was hot, fresh, flaky and seasoned so well. We would definitely come back for the catfish. But that's it. Even the jojos were subpar. They sell little containers of bbq sauce and ranch for $0.50 each but they should only be $.10. They hardly have any sauce on the inside. So even though the chicken is like a negative two, the fried catfish delivered above our expectations so I'll give it a three overall. To Note: we ate our food immediately in the car in the parking lot.

The jojos are seasoned great, and the catfish is nice and crispy while staying soft and not too dry inside. I go to this Shell often for water and snacks, and the staff are more often than not very friendly and kind :)

The food here is great and the prices are phenomenal. As a local, I love coming here to grab a quick meal or a small snack. They have plenty of hot food options, ready to go. My go tos are the fried catfish, potato wedges, and corn dogs. I've loved everything I've tried from here. The staff is also so friendly, I always have a great experience ordering and checking out. Not your typical gas station food for sure. Try it!

Get the 1 pound of catfish. Is quite good and I've love to eat it again. In fact, I'd eat it right now if I could.

Solid catfish and tartar sauce. Very reasonably priced. The jojos were fantastic as well

Dr Drew is absolutely the best! He is so helpful and even patched up my friend who had fallen. This is the most welcoming station I've visited!

I have to agree, the catfish is pretty freaking good. And if you get the Jo Jos right out of the fryer, they're real good.

Aside from a smiling cashier who was somehow relaxed, there wasn't a single person who remotely had my (or any) level of consciousness and sobriety. I was alone, surrounded by a large crowd of questionable individuals, all moving chaotically and without a goal, yelling at each other and themselves, some of them shoeless, some topless. Need I mention the odor. Leaving the place wasn't easy either, as I had to ask multiple blacked out people to move, and give me some space, which made them angry, as if there was another choice. The absence of security and the police was shocking. 7-11 needs to act asap, and make this location safe. I'm pretty sure this is employee abuse too.

The shelves were bare; I was surprised to see so little stuff. I found water, but they didn't have the energy drink I wanted, so I had to get something else. That wasn't the only problem. There were two security guards who kept watching me as I walked around (even though I was wearing business clothes and clearly wasn't stealing anything). I get that security is important in the downtown areas of cities, but being followed while just trying to figure out what to get with the horrible selection felt weird and a little insulting. I had a backpack, but I didn't think I needed that much attention. On top of that, there were two guys doing drugs right in front of the store windows. I know the store can't control what happens outside, but it made the whole place feel really uncomfortable, especially at 9:00 in the morning. I know a lot of cities in the Pacific Northwest have problems with drugs, and some stores are still having trouble after the pandemic. But not even having basic things in stock, plus the security following me, and the drug use right outside made it a bad experience. This place gets one star, not just because of what was happening outside, but because they didn't even have the stuff I needed. It's a sad situation, and I hope it gets better.
