I remembered passing by this Petro-Canada gas station that was on the northwest corner of Morningside Avenue and Ellesmere Road. After I was done fetching dinner, I headed over to this gas station. It was cool to find out that there was an A&W attached to this Petro-Canada's convenience store. I'll need to check it out next time. I found an available gas pump. I did experience a weird glitch trying to pay. The screen froze when I was customizing how much I wanted to prepay. I ended up cancelling the entire transaction by using the Cancel button on the keypad and starting from scratch. The second time was the charm. I inserted my Petro-Points card. I then used my five-cent-a-litre discount card. Finally, I prepaid for gas with a credit card. Yay! I fuelled. I looked around. This gas station has a lot going on. It has a car wash with an air pump and a vacuum. It also has electric vehicle (EV) chargers. There were four parking spots for EVs. I was happy when my car's gas tank was full. The area around the gas pump that I used was clean. It's a decent gas station. I hope that the glitchy issue with paying at the pump was a one-time incident that doesn't happen often. (367)

I then paid with my credit card. It was seamless. I fuelled my car handsfree. It was nice to check out the air pump in front of me and the convenience store on my left. I didn't use either, but it was reassuring to know that they were both there. I got my receipt. I then got in my car and left. This gas station was clean. I had a good experience. I was happy that I fuelled my car before the gas price went up on Saturday. I made a left turn onto Meadowvale Road, making my way northwest to Rama. There are traffic…read morelights that go directly into the station so you can always enter/exit no matter which way you're coming from/would like to go. They have air and vacuum services and a touchless carwash. The gas pumps are spread pretty far apart so it's easy to get in and out of the station. They accept card payments at the pump. There are some that are designated prepay first so if you're paying cash make sure to watch out for the signage. As with all Shell stations, they have AirMiles promotions so don't forget your card.

If you look at the price of gas, beside it on the sign, usually says SELF, this is meant for self-service, meaning you pump your own gas. Back in the day, all gas stations were full serve but then again, back then... a full tank of gas was apparently like five bucks. Anyways, enough about my rant... this full service gas station is amazing. Always great customer service. Only issue is it's open until 9pm, if you need gas later than that, better be ready to get out of your car and pump your own gas. I feel like they should bring back full serves but that's just my opinion. Generally full serve gas stations charge more for their gasoline, just a little but it really depends on if you trust someone pumping gas for you. The location is very small, it doesn't have a car wash but the people are friendly and get the job done! 4/5

I don't usually get petrol from Esso, but for some reason, this location is always $0.03 cheaper…read morethan petrol everywhere else. Is it because it's just north of the 401? Not quite sure. When you head north of the 401, you'll see a Petrol Canada first, and you'll really want to get in on the petrol that's also 3 cents cheaper, but if you drive just a little bit further north, you'll get to this Esso. I try to avoid that Petrol Canada as it's a small lot and it gets more cars turning in for it being closer to the freeway. Going to this Esso works for me because they have a bigger lot and I have been here a few times where it's 3.3 cents cheaper than the average. I've never had to go into the store, but that's because I haven't run into any trouble with the machine yet. I say this lightly because they seem to be older machines. When it comes to selecting the petrol grade, I seem to alway have to press it a few times before it registers. And I don't think it supports Paypass tap payments, so their tech could use an upgrade. Other than that, I really can't complain when it comes to filling up the tank, I try to come here.

I went inside to pay and present my card and the clerk told me to go ahead and fill up and he would apply the miles to my account afterwards. I filled up and returned inside where he informs me that they don't accept Aeroplan at this location! When there is a huge sign in front saying that they do! AND he told me to fill up and that he would fix this when I came back in! This is either false advertising on the part of the business or he lied to me and is collecting the points himself. Either way, something very shady and underhanded is going on here. I will NEVER be filling up at this station again.
