I took the one on the far left, The gas price was cheaper than what I saw in Markham by two cents. It seemed appealing to take advantage of this cheaper price here. This gas station was clean. I managed to get rid of an empty drink cup by using the garbage receptacle nearby. I had no problem paying at the pump. I inserted my Petro Points card, followed by my 407 ETR savings card, and then my credit card. I then had the gas pumping hands-free while I used a squeegee on my car's back windshield. I didn't go into the Neighbours convenience store. I saw many folks going in, including a TTC bus driver. He had parked his bus on Bathurst Street, right behind where I was. I thought, at first, that he was a staffer at the store. The man inside Neighbours and the TTC driver were both wearing red polo shirts. The Neighbours staffer looked out the window often. It was a bit creepy after a while. Either he was bored out of his mind or was tracking everyone. It's a good gas station to fill up your car's gas tank. My back windshield looks clean! I had no problems leaving the gas station afterwards to resume my northbound trip up Bathurst. (318)

In the store, the focus is on cold drinks, auto accessories and thing like hats & gloves - not much snacks or grocery items compared to bigger Shell or Esso. However they do always have Sesame Snaps in stock - sometimes this is the only place within 5 km of my building where I can find Sesame Snaps at night! They also carry cheap, effective old school auto glass products Rain Vision & NeverFog which a lot of big gas stations don't sell anymore. Washroom is very basic but never nasty and it's always open. Note that at last check, Ultramar is not listed as a Top Tier gas seller. I'm not sure if this is due to not meeting the voluntary Top Tier standard for purity & detergency - though more likely not wanting to pay the costs of participating. Either way, just to be on the safe side I wouldn't suggest using Ultramar on a frequent basis if you have BMW, Audi or VW or any recent car with Direct Inection and/or Turbo technology (( though ironically you WOULD come here to get top-off oil for those cars because they sell synthetic Total in a wide range of grades you wouldn't find at most gas stations...)) Also note this station is built on somewhat of a raised mound, the driveways have a steep angle which can make for rough entry/exit for cars with regular or lower round clearance. If you're not driving a SUV or truck, you should take the entrances slowly & diagonally.

I visit the Circle K store that comprises this Esso station regularly. I'm probably there once a…read moreweek. I backroad my commute home from work along Steeles Avenue West and East, and drop by this store for snacks and drinks. Last night, I needed to fill my car up with gas. I also had a digital $2 coupon to use towards a gas fill-up. I dropped by for my snacks and drinks ritual, along with fuelling my car at this Esso station. There were three other customers using the gas pumps at this station. I had no problem finding one. Paying at the pump is straightforward. The challenge can be pre-paying for gas, especially when you have a coupon that you can only present in-store. Some gas pumps state that you must go inside to arrange pre-paying for gas. The ones at this Esso are more lenient. You fuel you car first and then go inside Circle K to pay. I like the convenience and trust. I filled my car's gas tank, and then went inside the store to redeem my gas coupon, along with two other coupons for snacks and a drink. The gas pump had clear instructions. The area was clean. No complaints. I am a regular. The male staffer behind the counter recognized me. It's good having established such a relationship. I redeemed all three coupons ($2 off gas, BOGO on peanuts, and a free Joker drink) on my phone. Scanning everything went well. I then scanned the PC Optimum barcode from my phone, and paid with a credit card. Done! The man wished me a great evening. I reciprocated and headed to my car to continue my commute home. While the rest of the city post an average 108.9/liter of gas on a Saturday, this location posted it for 100.9. However, like the other gas stations that tends to offer lower than average prices, this ESSO will sometimes higher than average price , depending on the time of the day it is. Later that same day, I saw it posted for 118.9, but it was also 1:30am (with no change to the average price of gas from the previous day). But, I think it's the reason they're able to offer their previously lower price. I was surprised to see there were cars at the pumps at that price. Think Uber surge pricing on Saturday night. It does not have a car wash, but it's definitely worth the visit if you're in the area.

The man behind the counter was cheerful. I redeemed my coupon. I scanned it, but he needed to double-check the coupon and whether I had hit at least 30 L of gas. Everything checked out.
