The lanes are one-directional. The idea is that traffic flows north, so you need to be facing that way when you pull up next to a pump. This station has a small convenience store. I don't normally buy anything there. I typically pay at the pump and leave. The only time when it gets extremely busy occurs when folks are using the car wash, trying to get salt off their car when it's winter. Other than that, it's easy dropping by, fuelling your car up, and leaving. Gas prices suck these days. This Petro-Canada posts regular gas prices. Regardless, this gas station suits my needs perfectly. (181)

On the southeast corner of Major Mac and Donald Cousens Parkway is this Pioneer gas station. A tidbit of information: Donald Cousens was the former Mayor of Markham. He held that position from 1994 till 2006. My parents liked him. I did, too, although I caught the beginning and end of his mayoral tenure. Naming this parkway after him was a nice touch. The gas price was cheaper than the posted price at a nearby Esso station by four cents a litre. I frequent the Circle K there. I immediately made a left turn to fill my car's gas tank here. There were a few customers pumping gas. I found an available gas pump. The problem was that I couldn't pay for gas at the pump. It was the case with all pumps that day. Luckily, the option to pay inside the store was available, so I did just that. I was at pump 8. When I was done, I walked into the convenience store. It's huge. It was nice to browse a bit before paying. There's a mini Country Style area. You can get coffee, slushies, hot chocolate, and more. There was a sign that said donuts, but I didn't see any in the display case. I love crullers from Country Style. Sadly, I didn't see any in the display case. I got a helpful man at the payment area. I said that I had gas to pay for at pump 8. I got my Journie barcode scanned for the first time. Husky got bought out by Journie at least a year ago, so I got my Husky rewards transferred over to Journie. I then paid with a credit card. Done! I thanked the man after he gave me my receipt. I headed to my car and continued my drive home. If you want cheap gas in the northeastern part of Markham, come here. It was an unexpected, pleasant find. I recommend signing up for Journie points, so you can get discounts on future gas, convenience store purchases, and more. (229)

At Kennedy and Highway 7, you have two Petro-Canada stations diagonally opposed. I know that Petro-Canada bought out all Sunoco stations years ago. I don't recall Kennedy and Highway 7 ever having a Sunoco. Out of the two gas stations, I frequent this one less. It is situated on the northeast corner of the intersection. Normally, I am travelling eastbound and stop by the other one. It's also easier for me to get home with the other one. I decided to give this neglected station a visit the other day. Gas was at 127.9. I had half a tank full. I decided to top it up. If you are looking for a fancy convenience store, car wash, and A&W's, you want the other Petro-Canada. The best part about this station is that you have what you need (gas and a small convenience store). It wasn't all that busy when I dropped by after work. I filled up and left. No muss. No fuss. Then I suggest this branch over the one across the street. It's much less busier, therefore service is a lot faster. Then again, I don't know why there needs to be two Petro Canadas right across from each other. Oh well.

This Shell station is the closest one to my home. I have been visiting it for years, especially when I was in Air Miles collection mode. I don't visit Shell stations all that often these days, as I get gas-fuelling discounts at Petro-Canada. My car desperately needed to be vacuumed. I didn't want to do it during a pandemic, but I did it safely after getting my game plan in place, thanks to gloves and hand sanitizer. This gas station has two vacuums that are closest to Passmore Avenue. I love that it's a wide-open space. I can put my mats down safely on the side and vacuum to my heart's content. What has changed is how you can pay to use the vacuum. I always bring loonies and twoonies. It allegedly allows you to pay using tap methods, such as debit, credit, Google Pay, and more. Well, I tried my debit and credit cards, and Google Pay on my phone. Guess what? None of them worked. When in doubt, go with coins. I inserted $2.50 into the machine and vacuumed for five minutes. Suction was great. The front foot areas are the worst in my car, but they looked like new when I was done. I was happy. There are two vacuums at this gas station, with an air machine between them. A man used it while I was vacuuming. We were safely physically distanced. We were both working on the passenger sides of our vehicles. When I was done and got into my car, he was on the driver side of his car. I have filled up my various cars over the years with gas at this Shell station. I feel like I can do a retrospective on the vehicles that I have owned, but I'll spare you those details. If you're dying to know, you know how to reach me. =) This gas station is always clean and frequently maintained. There are garbage receptacles next to each gas pump, and one where the vacuums are. There's also a car wash if you choose to use it. I like this gas station. It was nice coming here again. (374)
