I visited two locations close to where I live. Both only accepted cash. If you know me well, I rarely have cash on me, especially during the pandemic. I'm all plastic cards. I remembered this Esso station that I pass by often heading to and from Stouffville. I decided to try my plastic card luck up there. The place had steady business. I had no problem finding a gas pump and pulled up next to it. I have frequented the Circle K a couple of times that's a part of this Esso. Staff have always been super nice to me. The area around the gas pump was clean. I rarely fill up at Esso. You have the option of either entering your PC Optimum card on the screen or swiping your card. It's funny, but I don't know my PC Optimum card off the top of my head. I can rattle off some card numbers, such as Air Miles, Aeroplan, and my 16-digit RBC client number. I oddly don't know what my PC Optimum card number is. I'll need to work on that. I had no problem using my PC Optimum and credit cards at the pump. It was a smooth transaction with an equally smooth gas fill-up. I thank Esso for not having an issue with its credit and debit cards. I had a terrific experience and relieved that I didn't need to visit more gas stations that night! (381)

They have two self ordering kiosk available. I haven't had KFC in a while and it was Tuesday so I decided to drop by and grab their special 2 pieces of chicken with small fries for $4.49. I remember back then they offered it for $2 called 'toonie Tuesdays'. I certainly miss this price! The chicken and fries was great, very tasty.

My fuel light lit up on my car's dashboard. I remembered this gas station and drove over. This station has a number of pumps. The downside is that many were unavailable when I was there. I pulled next to one, got out of my car, and there was a faint message on the screen that said it was out of service. So, I had to climb back into my car and find another free one. Luckily, I found one. There was a guy fuelling his car using the pump on the other side. He came over and was looking at the one that I wanted to use. Hey, buddy! I'm trying to back into this spot, but you're blocking my way. I could back into you and cause bodily harm, but I don't want your body to put a permanent dent in my car. He finally moved after a good minute. Sheesh! Gas is a bit cheaper here compared to the rest of the GTA. I used my 407 ETR rewards to get a discount per litre on gas. I paid at the pump and left. I thought that I'd live a little and drop by. I had a coupon that I needed to use. It was for Rockstar energy drinks. I needed to buy one to get another for free. There were more parking spots in front of this store than the other Circle K stores that I have frequented so far. I backed into a spot and walked in. I will say that customers here are polite. The man held the door for me when I walked in. I left this store and a woman held the door for me to go through it after I had swung it wide open carrying my drinks. It was straightforward getting to the beverages. There are a ton of energy drinks here. I found an entire row of Rockstar beverages. I like that there were sugar-free varieties. I got the fruit punch and silver ice. The man behind the counter was friendly. I find that every person that I have dealt with at Circle K has been nice. I scanned my coupon and it worked well. I find that enlarging it works best on my phone for a successful scan. I scanned my PC Optimum card next, followed by tapping my debit card to pay. All was great. I wished the man a great night and he reciprocated. I had the Rockstar silver ice tonight. I enjoyed it. It explains why I'm writing reviews at this hour, which I normally don't do! This station is at the north-west corner of McCowan Rd and Bur Oak Ave. Gas prices are comparable to others in the area. This station has an attached Circle K with a Tim Hortons inside. There is a drive-thru for the Tim Hortons. There is a touch-free car wash building. There is a section for tire air pump and vehicle vacuum. Ex: An empty tank of 79 liters was filled up with almost 96 liters of gasoline. That is possible only at this station to put more gasoline in a tank than its max capacity. Never see you again. The area is clean. All is well. I didn't have a chance to walk into the convenient store. It looked pretty busy, as I saw a number of folks park in front of it, go in, and come out. This location has a car wash. I typically don't use it, as the rollers produce swirl marks that are noticeable, especially on dark-coloured cars. The lanes are one-directional. The idea is that traffic flows north, so you need to be facing that way when you pull up next to a pump. This station has a small convenience store. I don't normally buy anything there. I typically pay at the pump and leave. The only time when it gets extremely busy occurs when folks are using the car wash, trying to get salt off their car when it's winter. Other than that, it's easy dropping by, fuelling your car up, and leaving. Gas prices suck these days. This Petro-Canada posts regular gas prices.
