They have 4 grades of gas and also diesel. We came to this gas station because it was 5 to 7 cents cheaper than most gas stations in a 15 km radius. Actually there is an Esso a major block south that has the same price but that was out of our way. Tip: I use the "GasBuddy" app to find cheaper gas. The station was bright and clean. It has windshield squeegee using water (wasn't soapy water). There is a touchless car wash and it must be popular because there was a lineup of 8 cars at 8:00 pm on a Sun. This location has a car wash. I typically don't use it, as the rollers produce swirl marks that are noticeable, especially on dark-coloured cars. I backroad my commute home from work along Steeles Avenue West and East, and drop by this store for snacks and drinks. Last night, I needed to fill my car up with gas. I also had a digital $2 coupon to use towards a gas fill-up. I dropped by for my snacks and drinks ritual, along with fuelling my car at this Esso station. There were three other customers using the gas pumps at this station. I had no problem finding one. Paying at the pump is straightforward. The challenge can be pre-paying for gas, especially when you have a coupon that you can only present in-store. Some gas pumps state that you must go inside to arrange pre-paying for gas. The ones at this Esso are more lenient. You fuel you car first and then go inside Circle K to pay. I like the convenience and trust. I filled my car's gas tank, and then went inside the store to redeem my gas coupon, along with two other coupons for snacks and a drink. The gas pump had clear instructions. The area was clean. No complaints. I am a regular. The male staffer behind the counter recognized me. It's good having established such a relationship. I redeemed all three coupons ($2 off gas, BOGO on peanuts, and a free Joker drink) on my phone. Scanning everything went well. I then scanned the PC Optimum barcode from my phone, and paid with a credit card. Done! The man wished me a great evening. I reciprocated and headed to my car to continue my commute home. Not bad. 107.6? Pretty good. 106.9? I'm there! Thus, I stopped at this Shell station. It was the cheapest price I had seen, with the 7-Eleven store across the street jumping into the price war. I pulled in and found a free pump. Business was brisk. I normally don't pull into a Shell station, but it was nice to change things up. I got to exercise my Air Miles card. Unfortunately, the pump didn't recognize this card when I swiped it. However, I love that this pump allows you to enter your Air Miles number manually, rather than missing out on points. Nice job! What slightly dampened my experience was a Shell employee coming over to customers with his clipboard and asking whether they want to sign up for a credit card. I realize that it's the perfect opportunity to bug folks, but I like pumping gas without talking to people. I also don't want more debt with another credit card! There's not a lot of self serve car washes in general and this is one of few in the area and to be honest for a self serve car wash this isnt too bad. It covers all the basics and then some. It has a side vacuum area and I would say roughly 5 to 6 bays with cars that can fit one in front of the other so 2 cars per bay. The car wash spray is strong so if you are petite or dont have great upper body strength you may need to use two hands and expect a bit of a kick. Its not easy but with an SUV you can do soap, wash and wax within the given time of about 3 minutes for $4.00 last time I checked. Havent had an issue with the machines anytime I went to this place over the last few years so I would say this place is reliable. Self serve car washes are great for hitting certain parts of your car to ensure its clean like the under carriage to remove road salt or the front to get rid of those bugs from your summer road trips.

Old neighborhood gas station (took over from a Sunocco) and like other Ultramar locations tends to…read moresell 4 or 5 cents bellow the Toronto going rate. In the store, the focus is on cold drinks, auto accessories and thing like hats & gloves - not much snacks or grocery items compared to bigger Shell or Esso. However they do always have Sesame Snaps in stock - sometimes this is the only place within 5 km of my building where I can find Sesame Snaps at night! They also carry cheap, effective old school auto glass products Rain Vision & NeverFog which a lot of big gas stations don't sell anymore. Washroom is very basic but never nasty and it's always open. Note that at last check, Ultramar is not listed as a Top Tier gas seller. I'm not sure if this is due to not meeting the voluntary Top Tier standard for purity & detergency - though more likely not wanting to pay the costs of participating. Either way, just to be on the safe side I wouldn't suggest using Ultramar on a frequent basis if you have BMW, Audi or VW or any recent car with Direct Inection and/or Turbo technology (( though ironically you WOULD come here to get top-off oil for those cars because they sell synthetic Total in a wide range of grades you wouldn't find at most gas stations...)) Also note this station is built on somewhat of a raised mound, the driveways have a steep angle which can make for rough entry/exit for cars with regular or lower round clearance. If you're not driving a SUV or truck, you should take the entrances slowly & diagonally.
