Today, I ran a number of errands. I lost track of time and had lunch just before 3 pm. I headed to Applebee's for lunch. I looked at the price for regular at this Petro-Canada and it was 94.2 cents a litre, which is pretty good. I made a mental note to fill up before heading home. I finished lunch at around 4:15 pm and headed over to fill my car up with gas. The price? 89.4. When it doubt, wait it out. There are plenty of pumps at this station. However, considering how cheap this price was, it got busy fast. I was fortunate to grab a free gas pump, fill, and pay. It got incredibly busy with cars lined up everywhere that I couldn't take a photo of anything. I started up my car and headed out before I got stuck in the crazy maze of drivers waiting to fill their cards up. The windshield wiper solution area is surprisingly clean and the fluid is topped up to the brim. I used it to clean my back windshield and backup camera as the winter thaw begins. This gas station looked huge from across the street. There was no one pumping gas. Well, I was about to change that situation! I pulled in and parked next to a pump closest to the convenience store. There was a woman behind the counter. I swear that I bring business to places. When I got out of my car with my Petro-Points, 407 ETR discount, and credit cards, there were four other cars at gas pumps. I paid at the gas pump. It was seamless. I started pumping gas into my car. I like that there was that silver stand where you can continue pumping gas hands-free. I went to use the squeegee on my back windshield. After my fuel transaction had completed, I wanted to check the convenience store out. It's small, but it has everything that I enjoy looking at. Candy? Check. Phone accessories? Yes. Popsicles? Definitely. Pop? For sure! I noticed clear Mountain Dew in the beverages fridge. I'm not a Mountain Dew consumer. If you do want a caffeine hit, this drink is for you. Instead, I got two bottles of cherry Diet Coke. I like a good deal and I needed a drink. The woman was friendly. She asked if I wanted a bag. Nah, I was good. I never have an issue getting a free one. There is also an A&W inside a large convenience store. I went inside the store to check it out the other night at around 9:30 pm. For a limited time, if you get a pumpkin spice coffee (any size), you get 100 Petro Points. I got a small cup, as I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but love pumpkin spice anything, and loved it. I also found a deal on Rolo candy with peanut butter in each morsel of chocolate goodness. I got two packs for $3. They are yummy. The woman cashing me out was polite. I spoke with the attendant (name - Mitesh) who adamantly stated that I should not have waited till the last day to redeem my car wash. Despite repeated requests, he refused to provide me with the name of the manager. He stated that he was the only person at the Esso station but could not help me. Mitesh refused to offer a complimentary car wash for a future date. He was polite but frustratingly unhelpful. His refusal to provide the name of the owner/manager for future reference was bizarre.I walked out of that Esso station frazzled, upset, and unable to understand my negative experience.

Filled up the gas followed by the mandatory curse at the gas prices (yes because I want to fit in too). So just to take a little break I walked into the 'neighbours' part of this gas station. To be honest its pretty good, decent selection of snacks, roomy, nice and clean. They also have a nice patio type area set up outside with tables which was handy. Tl;dr A better spot to take a break at than the ONroute because its less busy. Smaller selection of food though.
