This gas station looked huge from across the street. There was no one pumping gas. Well, I was about to change that situation! I pulled in and parked next to a pump closest to the convenience store. There was a woman behind the counter. I swear that I bring business to places. When I got out of my car with my Petro-Points, 407 ETR discount, and credit cards, there were four other cars at gas pumps. I paid at the gas pump. It was seamless. I started pumping gas into my car. I like that there was that silver stand where you can continue pumping gas hands-free. I went to use the squeegee on my back windshield. After my fuel transaction had completed, I wanted to check the convenience store out. It's small, but it has everything that I enjoy looking at. Candy? Check. Phone accessories? Yes. Popsicles? Definitely. Pop? For sure! I noticed clear Mountain Dew in the beverages fridge. I'm not a Mountain Dew consumer. If you do want a caffeine hit, this drink is for you. Instead, I got two bottles of cherry Diet Coke. I like a good deal and I needed a drink. The woman was friendly. She asked if I wanted a bag. Nah, I was good. I got more Petro-Points with this transaction. I'm glad that I dropped by. The gas station is clean. I'm not normally in this part of Ajax. But much to my delight, it's become my favourite vape shop in Durham. They have a HUGE selection of e-juices, with sales going on all the time. It doesn't always mesh with my favourite flavours, but the prices are so affordable that it really doesn't matter. And they customize the nic levels in the e-juices so you can get exactly what you want. Plus, the staff remember faces and greet you the next time you come in, but in that chill, laidback way where you feel part of things without it ever being too nosy. Only downsides: -coils are expensive :( -the tester e-juices are a) not always available to try out, and b) come in cheap little pens so there's hardly any flavour to suck on. I had some business in Whitby sometime in November, 2019. When I had finished, I got to my car and was about to leave for home when I noticed The Corner Store. For some months, I had been looking for a particular tobacco called "Drum." It was sold out at my regular convenience store in Markham, so I had taken to randomly look for it in out of the way places in hopes of someone stocking it. The owner of The Corner Store, who was behind the counter that day, told me that he had run out of Drum and was unable to get it anymore. He asked if he could take my phone number in case his supplier had fulfilled the back order. I gladly obliged. About two months later, in January, I got a call from him. He had received his order and was calling to tell me as he'd promised. Awesome! To this day, March 2020, the stores in Markham still don't have it. Thank you Corner Store!! If I lived closer to Whitby, I'd do as much shopping there as I could!

For example , I saw Lindor packs for $4. There's are normally at least $5-$6. Saw fancy almond milk for like $2. The only drawback is a lot of stuff is close to or already expired so you gotta be careful . I say it's not our cup of tea simply because we tend to stock up / get too excited and buy a lot so expired/ close to expiring snacks is a no go . I was lucky to find these two steals and the expiration on each were at least close to half a year ! Camino bar was as only $1 :O and hairbo was only $1.55. Not bad. 107.6? Pretty good. 106.9? I'm there! Thus, I stopped at this Shell station. It was the cheapest price I had seen, with the 7-Eleven store across the street jumping into the price war. I pulled in and found a free pump. Business was brisk. I normally don't pull into a Shell station, but it was nice to change things up. I got to exercise my Air Miles card. Unfortunately, the pump didn't recognize this card when I swiped it. However, I love that this pump allows you to enter your Air Miles number manually, rather than missing out on points. Nice job! What slightly dampened my experience was a Shell employee coming over to customers with his clipboard and asking whether they want to sign up for a credit card. I realize that it's the perfect opportunity to bug folks, but I like pumping gas without talking to people. I also don't want more debt with another credit card!
