A few years ago, I would often visit my friend for dinner at some mutually agreed upon eatery along the Danforth. She lived at Danforth and Broadview, and worked above where she lived. I didn't mind driving over here after we were both done work. She has since moved away. I have recently been doing curbside pickup at af few businesses along this stretch. After we had meet for dinner and called it a night, I would drive along Danforth and would often fill my car's gas tank at this station. The price tends to be a bit cheaper than the GTA on the whole. I like how how bright this station is as night. You can't miss it unless you're extremely tired. I never had a problem paying for gas at the pump and filling up my car's gas tank. I don't think that I have ever been inside the convenience store. I normally had nothing to buy and wasn't in a snacky mood after seeing my friend. This afternoon, I was waiting for the light to change. I turned my head and noticed the graffiti on the side of this Petro-Canada honouring frontline workers during this pandemic. Another petrol station that is usually less than average price…read more I found this place on my way to Monarch Park one day and their regular price was 116.9 while all the other petrol stations I drove by was at 123.9 This station is super small though, and with its prime location at the southeast corner of Danforth and Greenwood, traffic comes from both streets and it can get a little bit crazy like it was for me when I stopped by. If you're in the area and you see this station is cheap, you just need to get in!

Not bad. 107.6? Pretty good. 106.9? I'm there! Thus, I stopped at this Shell station. It was the cheapest price I had seen, with the 7-Eleven store across the street jumping into the price war. I pulled in and found a free pump. Business was brisk. I normally don't pull into a Shell station, but it was nice to change things up. I got to exercise my Air Miles card. Unfortunately, the pump didn't recognize this card when I swiped it. However, I love that this pump allows you to enter your Air Miles number manually, rather than missing out on points. Nice job! What slightly dampened my experience was a Shell employee coming over to customers with his clipboard and asking whether they want to sign up for a credit card. I realize that it's the perfect opportunity to bug folks, but I like pumping gas without talking to people. I also don't want more debt with another credit card! I visit the Circle K store that comprises this Esso station regularly. I'm probably there once a…read moreweek. I backroad my commute home from work along Steeles Avenue West and East, and drop by this store for snacks and drinks. Last night, I needed to fill my car up with gas. I also had a digital $2 coupon to use towards a gas fill-up. I dropped by for my snacks and drinks ritual, along with fuelling my car at this Esso station. There were three other customers using the gas pumps at this station. I had no problem finding one. Paying at the pump is straightforward. The challenge can be pre-paying for gas, especially when you have a coupon that you can only present in-store. Some gas pumps state that you must go inside to arrange pre-paying for gas. The ones at this Esso are more lenient. You fuel you car first and then go inside Circle K to pay. I like the convenience and trust. I filled my car's gas tank, and then went inside the store to redeem my gas coupon, along with two other coupons for snacks and a drink. The gas pump had clear instructions. The area was clean. No complaints. I am a regular. The male staffer behind the counter recognized me. It's good having established such a relationship. I redeemed all three coupons ($2 off gas, BOGO on peanuts, and a free Joker drink) on my phone. Scanning everything went well. I then scanned the PC Optimum barcode from my phone, and paid with a credit card. Done! The man wished me a great evening. I reciprocated and headed to my car to continue my commute home. I do like the Circle K here. I can also say that I like this Esso, too. Easy peasy. Super breezy, especially with the recent temperature dip. =) (354)

Located right on the north east corner of Jane and Major Mack, this gas station as several do in…read morethe area have a lower cost than most of the areas I see such as Burlington and Etobicoke. The cost per liter here is roughly about 5 to 7 cents LESS than the stations I see more often again in both Burlington and Etobicoke and I'm talking Shells so it's apples to apples. This station has 8 pumps but they are sort of at an angle so depending on which side of the pump you need it may be a little more effort maneuvering to the pump given the space and how people are trying to leave. If you want to go north your best bet is to exit at the Jane side and make a right (only choice). If you want to go west your best bet it so exit off the Major Mack side as you can only go north on the Jane and make a right. This station is basically only "safely accessible" if going west on Major Mack or north on Jane since there are all sort of road dividers blocking access in being that it's right at a corner. It's close to the 400 so if you're going to juice up going up north or back down from up north it's a good idea to gas up here and get cheaper gas than in the city. Don't forget they take Airmiles and they have diesel here too.

That being said - this station lowers it's prices in the afternoon by about 4 cents a litre. Pretty freakin' awesome! It also fills up the car quickly, unlike some stations where the gas runs slower when you have people filling up on both sides. This is always my first choice to stop on my way home from work. With gas prices so high, it's worth waiting until the afternoon and waiting in a line up to pay less - especially with how often I need to fill up!

They have two self ordering kiosk available. I haven't had KFC in a while and it was Tuesday so I decided to drop by and grab their special 2 pieces of chicken with small fries for $4.49. I remember back then they offered it for $2 called 'toonie Tuesdays'. I certainly miss this price! The chicken and fries was great, very tasty.

My fuel light lit up on my car's dashboard. I remembered this gas station and drove over. This station has a number of pumps. The downside is that many were unavailable when I was there. I pulled next to one, got out of my car, and there was a faint message on the screen that said it was out of service. So, I had to climb back into my car and find another free one. Luckily, I found one. There was a guy fuelling his car using the pump on the other side. He came over and was looking at the one that I wanted to use. Hey, buddy! I'm trying to back into this spot, but you're blocking my way. I could back into you and cause bodily harm, but I don't want your body to put a permanent dent in my car. He finally moved after a good minute. Sheesh! Gas is a bit cheaper here compared to the rest of the GTA. I used my 407 ETR rewards to get a discount per litre on gas. I paid at the pump and left. The convenience store was doing well. One of these days, I'll go in. This station also has a car wash. It had a good demand on a warm day as I left. (476)
