It's roughly a five-minute drive north of Hillcrest Mall. This store is a part of an Esso station. It has a touchless car wash, a vacuum, and a Tim Hortons with a drive-thru. Parking is interesting. There is one spot to the left of the store for a driver with an accessibility permit. On the right are two garage doors. Two cars were parked in front of each door. There are parking spots across from the gas station by the car wash. I backed into a spot and walked over. The Timmy's is a part of the store, next to the Circle K cashout area. Timmy's was pretty busy with customers. I had no problem finding beverages. I got two bottles of Diet Pepsi and a berry Gatorade Zero. I waited in line. There was a woman leaving Timmy's who was pleasant. She was carrying a lot of goodies. I asked if she needed help getting out of the store. She was fine and thanked me for offering to help. On the contrary, I opened the door for a young Chinese female going into the store who did not say thank you. I said, "You're welcome." Our eyes met. I figured out that her brother was the kid twirling around in the Timmy's line. It runs in the family. Ugh. Our eyes met again when they both left the store after me. I let her know that she had poor manners. I also stared her down when she was in the backseat of her mom's car leaving the gas station. Fun in Richmond Hill! Quite the contrast. I'm not your personal door person. I was carrying drinks and still managed to open the door for you. I was being nice. I didn't have to be kind to you. The LEAST you could do is say thanks. Instead, you acted like a privileged teen. I digress. I do feel better venting. Back to my review... The man at the checkout was super nice. He said hi. He asked me how I was doing. I was great then. I got my drinks scanned. I also scanned my PC Optimum barcode and paid with a credit card. Done! I thanked him. He wished me a great evening. I reciprocated. My berry Gatorade zero hit the spot. It was my first time trying it. I liked it. I'd return to this store when I'm in the area again. Customer service was great and I got the drinks that I needed. I was driving along the latter and turned right into the Esso gas station. This Circle K is a part of it. I had no problem finding a parking spot in front of the store. I backed my car into an available spot and walked in. You see a Tim Hortons on the left when you walk in. It was doing steady business at around 8 pm. The Froster selection was decent. I was able to choose from eight flavours. I ultimately got a small orange Crush Lite and Mountain Dew Spark Froster. The Polar Pop machine also had an impressive assortment of flavours. It's a good store for beverages, including bottled and canned ones. I also got a package of peanuts. Free items make me happy. I had a nice man at the counter who helped me scan my coupons. Done! I thanked him and happily walked to my car with my freebies. I don't hang out in this area as much as I would like. This Circle K is a good one. (391)

There are 4 different banks at the corner of Woodbine and Danforth and a variety of other stores as well. They carry a good selection of President's Choice products, including the Premium line. I have always liked fuelling my car here. This gas station is located on the northwest corner of Highway 7 and North Rivermede Road. It's across the street for a McDonald's restaurant that I like. Both are on the quieter side of the intersection. The southern part is where Centre Street starts. On Friday, I was heading to Mississauga. The low fuel indicator on my dashboard lit up. I remembered this gas station on my route. I had 24 km left before my gas tank would run empty. When you're driving westbound on Highway 7, you can either turn right at North Rivermede Road and do a left u-turn, followed by a right turn to get to this Pioneer. Alternatively, you can drive past the intersection and hang a right. I did the former. This station is always clean. I was at pump 7, which also has diesel. I entered my phone number associated with my Journie points. I then tapped my credit card and began fuelling my car. I let it automatically do it as I planned the next phase of installing my Sirium XM antenna. To make a long story much shorter, the car dealership gave my car a complimentary wash after servicing. The rollers took out my antenna. I got a replacement. Before I left home, I mounted my antenna to the back part of my car's roof and fed the cable under the weather seal of my trunk. I connected it to my satellite receiver to test the audio and reception. It was great! After I was done filling up my car's gas tank with fuel, I drove over to the parking area just behind the convenience store and seated the antenna cable under the weather seal, and then fed the cable behind the backseat. I then connected the antenna to my receiver again. I still need to finish running the cable under the carpet. The cable is 23 feet long and there's a LOT of slack. At least the cable isn't dangling down by back windshield! I'd guess that there are roughly six parking spots. I liked that I could work on running this cable and no one cared. It was nice. I have yet to visit the convenience store. I haven't had a need to go, but I should check it out someday. This visit got me 300 Aeroplan miles. I convert my Journie rewards to Aeroplan miles automatically. I now have 7 cents off per litre the next time I fuel at any Pioneer. Yay! I like saving on gas. Pioneer with its Journie points has a decent program going on, especially these days. There are some weekends that Journie does ten cents off each litre of gas that you pump into your vehicle. It's great. It feels like you're getting away with murder. It was great stopping by to attend to my car running on almost empty and my working on my antenna side project. (179)

I parked in a corner facing Winona Drive and Main Street, and walked over. This store used to be a Mac's. It has a good selection of beverages. The Froster and Polar Pop flavours were also decent, with roughly a dozen of varieties to choose from, respectively. You can get hot foods, but nothing was there that I wanted to get. There were hot dog rollers, but no hot dogs were available. There was a place to fetch pizza, except that there weren't any slices when I was there. It felt like a hot foods shortage when I was in the store. It was quite the rollercoaster set of emotions. I was thrilled that this store offered hot foods, but I couldn't get anything that I wanted. I had digital coupons for a pizza slice and a hot dog. I put them away. Instead, I used my coupon for a $2 bag of chips. The man at the counter was direct. I had my coupon scanned. I went to scan my PC Optimum card. He said that I didn't earn any points. I said that it was okay. It was habit. I paid with a debit card. I thanked him and left with my bag. Maybe it's timing. There are all the typical things that a large convenience store has including household cleaning supplies. There are two freezers of ice cream products and  milkshakes making machine. They do have an ATM should you need cash. They also sell lottery tickets, greeting cards, USB charging cables, sun glasses, and laundry detergent. They also have pet food. My issue with visiting a 7-Eleven is that there isn't one close by where I live. Markham no longer has a store. The closest one by my home is in Pickering. It's not exactly five minutes away! On weekends, I often travel along Rutherford Road. There are two 7-Eleven stores on this road that bookend Highway 400. I decided to try the first one that I hit after work going eastbound last Thursday night, which was this one. There is plenty of parking. I managed to back into a spot. This store has a gas station. Prices are cheaper in this area than the GTA in general. There were lots of pumps available at 7:30 pm. I walked in and looked at the beverages in the fridge. There were great deals on pop, which I love. There's a new orange sorbet Coke. I stood there looking longingly and happily at the bottles. A orange Coke float in a bottle was a dream to me. I snapped out of my trance and got two. The cashier at the counter was great. I paid and had my 7Rewards barcode scanned on my app. Points earned and preserved. Mission accomplished! I grabbed my cold bottles of pop and cheerfully headed back to my car. The chicken wings and nuggets smelled so good. Had I not had dinner, I would have bought some. The hot foods are pretty good at 7-Eleven if you're in a rush and need to get rid of your hunger pangs. I'd come back here again. I like this 7-Eleven. Traffic does get crazy in this area, as there are box stores five minutes away. It's also roughly ten minutes away from Vaughan Mills and Canada's Wonderland. (364)
