Jon Klingborg, DVM - Rocket smiling with Dr.K

Dr.Klingborg is fantastic. Just had another visit with him yesterday. He mentioned he read a lady…read moregave him a bad review because she didn't like that he felt her dog wasn't in the mood for its visit and was showing that it might bite. Apparently by this she felt he didn't have confidence in handling dogs. Hogwash and poppycock. Handling dogs is no task for him. I have 3 pitbulls and a carin terrier, he does fine. The largest of my dogs had a blood draw yesterday, she was scared to death. I asked how he knew she wouldn't bite (even tho I knew she wouldn't cuz shes my dog and I know her) and he explained he could read the difference between a dog that will bite out of fear and one that won't; hence how the discussion of the other persons review came up. I was pleased to learn he actually cares enough to read his reviews. I will say that not everything has been my favorite along the way: some tension over me not wanting to fix my dog (I hate tension and also don't want to be pressured to do things...also don't know why they were pushing so hard but whatever), & particular front desk staff that were not doing him any favors, to put it nicely. However, the first issue eventually subsided and during my visit yesterday it seems there have been some changes to the desk staff which is great. They were friendly and welcoming rather than acting like you're annoying them by existing. Even though it was busy the desk staff took time to visit or at least greet the waiting room dogs and owners, they checked in when there was a delay in back so that the customer (I) didn't feel forgotten about, they were very friendly. It's important, I think, to make the customer feel they are appreciated and "a piece of the pie" for lack of a better way to put it; no one likes to feel like just another dollar walking through the door, nor like it is a bother that they are even there at all. Yesterday was fantastic in that regard. Another of my dogs is a cardiac patient at UC Davis. At Davis, there are 2 cardiologist that approach my dog's care in very different ways, one is her actual doctor and the other isn't for a reason. Dr.Klingborg's approach to that same dog's care is like that of her actual cardiologist, which speaks volumes. I would recommend Dr.Klingborg to anyone. I don't know anything about the other doctors in Klingborg's practice. A few tips though: * if your dog needs the cone of shame, it would probably be wise to get it elsewhere, they're expensive here in my opinion * wouldn't recommend leaving your pet overnight as there is no overnight staff * if your dog isn't fixed you're gonna get an earful

My sister and I took our puppies to this vet years ago. He was fine with my puppy (she was a small…read morebreed and clearly not a chihuahua) but He traumatized my sister's puppy because a "2lbs chihuahua needs to be dominated". Mind you, she's the sweetest thing ever and has never bit or showed aggression to anyone. He threw her on her back and she peed and pooped all over. He was mad she got poop on him and left very mad. I don't understand why this man thinks it's okay to abuse and traumatize chihuahuas because he doesn't like them. She never once tried to bite him. She has sadly passed (lived a long beautiful life and never saw this dude again) but she never recovered from this. If you have a very clearly chihuahua dog, please consider a different vet. He'll also wait years to reply to the review and lie about the entire situation. Wonderful man, let me tell ya!!

I went to pick up my dog Oliver and everything looked fine but of course Louise was holding him so…read moreI couldn't see his legs. Right after picking him up we went to the gym and we were there for a few hours. He slept the whole time. Then when he turned to the side and I picked him up that's when I noticed the bad wound he had on his leg. Immediately I went back to let them know I was very upset and this had been the second time that he had been injured where nobody discussed it with me and told me. I told them I wanted my money back and I will never go back there again. The gentleman took a picture send it to the Groomer and she denied it and said that it never happened and that he did it Oliver did it! I was very emotional and I cried there was no sympathy from either one of them they were not gonna give me my money back and they kept saying they didn't do it when obviously they did... I was very upset and they were not gonna give me my money and I told them I was gonna call the police. I was not gonna back down on this since they did it they were trying to make it look like I did it to Oliver and I was trying to get my money back. Like I said this is the second time they've done it the first time it was different I forgave them and they were like oh sorry I forgot to tell you, but now that they're saying they didn't do it and they weren't gonna give me my money back that's the time that I said no more of this crap It's not fair to Oliver and it's not fair to me. While I was crying I said please just give me my money back I will never come. so of course he walks away then he handed me the $55 and says make sure you tell the next Groomer he's a biter and don't ever come back, which I told him when I first walked in I am never coming back to this place.. plus it always smelled and hair was always around it's not a well kept business. Anybody that hurts and inflict pain on your injured animals they are not good people and they're liars!! so if you're smart you won't do business with this place there's a lot of other businesses that will treat your dog a lot better and not hurt them. Beware of Bark And Biscuit!!!!!!!!!!!

This review is for the first-time, hesitant -to-purchase-from-a-breeder (or…read morestranger)-because-of-all-the-bad-stories-you've-heard-about-others'-experiences. We were such people originally, and that's why I need to share our review about Bobcat Frenchies here. We were determined to only do adoption and not go through a breeder originally, and knew we wanted a French bulldog. Long story short, through a lot of research, we determined it was far better for us to be assured of the Frenchie's health and well-being and a sound genetic makeup, because when you adopt (as wonderful as this is ), you don't know what you are getting in its health or disposition. We also wanted a puppy we could mold and train to fit our family and lifestyle from the get-go. So off we went to research breeders. That was a long journey - so many scams and questionable "breeders" out there. We ended up on the AKC Marketplace Website (highly recommend) and found Bobcat Frenchies. They had distinguishing "award" and marks in various categories and were up front about everything. We did our due diligence and also called the AKC and emailed them to find out if there were any issues associated with this breeder (which there were not). We also called the vet they used (hey, we were really , really cautious and did our due diligence). Everything checked out. I share this to save the reader time from going through all we did. Bobcat Frenchies is not only legit - but they have the utmost integrity in breeding and professionalism. There is a deposit required, a contract provided spelling out what they provide, etc. And we got to meet our pup and talk to the breeder personally, (virtually) etc. We knew when we first saw our puppy she was meant to be ours. Bobcat Frenchies delivered her personally to us with all the paperwork , including her shot summary from her vet, a bag of puppy food, and more. Fast forward to 2 months into ownership of our baby girl, and we could not be more happy. She is loving, soooo well-adjusted (and if you see the way Bobcat Frenchies provides a loving, safe and beautiful home for the mama and puppies with their own family, you will understand why their pups are so extra fabulous). Our pup is healthy, hilarious, active, super alert and taking to her puppy training classes like a duck to water... I am writing this because reputable breeders who are registered with the AKC and do business properly and have a deep love of Frenchies should be the ones to get the business. And if anyone out there is new like we were to the world of using a breeder and a bit 'gun shy' with all the scams out there, there are amazing ones out there- and I will just save you a ton of time and research and tell you to look no further -go with Bobcat Frenchies.

I would not return to this facility. We had a noon appointment for my dog's dental cleaning, and…read moreupon arrival we followed the posted instructions to call before entering. Despite having an appointment, we were told to wait until they gave us permission to come inside. After checking in, we waited approximately 48 minutes in the lobby before being taken to an exam room. During that time, several clients who arrived after us were brought in ahead of us. Once in the exam room, staff members came by briefly several times without providing any updates. On the third visit, the doctor entered, asked for our last name, and then left. During the fourth brief visit, the doctor listened to my dog's heart, confirmed that his teeth could be cleaned, and said he would return with a quote. He never came back. In total, we spent about an hour and forty-five minutes at the clinic with no clear communication, no estimate, and no progress. When I informed the receptionist of the long wait, she did not offer an apology or acknowledgment on behalf of the hospital. At that point, I decided to leave with my dog.

My sweet boy Apollo had his ears cropped by another vet and one flopped. Dr Sandhu made it right. Doctor's attention to detail and perfection was greatly appreciated for a good outcome. Not only that his tech technicians in the back office are amazing as well. Everyone treated me and Apollo so kind and warm and comforting. Thank goodness Apollos ears are perfect now. I would highly recommend them. Not only that Dr neutered Apollo as well using the laser procedure. The outcome was quick and his recovery time was so much shorter than the traditional neuter. Again, I would highly recommend American Pet Hospital.
