Schmuffin and hash browns. how can I refuse? I stopped for breakfast today (Tuesday) on my way to work. Busy, not packed around 7:30- 8 am. All the ordering screens were open when I arrived. I ordered and paid. There were two self pay kiosks if you used a credit card but both were occupied so I continued to the cashier. The wait for the food wasn't bad...a few minutes. Enough to check in on Yelp and check out the cup o ccino seasonal flavors. Really tempted to get one. Maybe next time. Food was the usual Sheetz grub. Hash browns coulda been hotter. If I could rate this Sheetz lower than one star I would. I have given this location multiple chances and yet I leave disappointed and disgusted every time. Went to Sheetz a month ago and ordered the new tacos. They came in a box and were swimming in grease. My husband's order was incorrect. I left a review on the official Sheetz Facebook page where they promptly hid my comment and photo. To me, this is poor business practice. People should see what they are getting themselves into when ordering these greasy tacos. When I went to the Sheetz website to complain there, they said my complaint was too long and to call. I then sat on hold for 30 minutes until I was able to explain my issue. The lady was friendly and credited 4 free MTO meals to my account. Okay sweet. The next time I go in, I ask the cashier (who is a manager) about applying the 4 free MTO meals from my card. He was rude to me and acted like he had no idea what I was talking about. Fries were soggy as usual and after the manager treated me poorly, I vowed to never go back. Fast forward and I'm in the area and hungry. I had enough points for a free pizza so I thought I would go in and redeem. Thank goodness it was free. When I moved to Harnett County, North Carolina, I asked if there was a Sheetz nearby. No one seemed to know. Then, I was so pleased when they started popping up. Their gas has reasonably good pricing, and their food is very good. I went there often over the years, and finally got a Sheetz rewards card. They're open 24 hours and they have some pretty bad food for pretty cheap prices. You order via a computer screen. Limits the necessity for any actual human interaction. Perfect for axe murderers trying not to make any kind of an impression on anyone. I would recommend them because they are 24 hours and safe and clean, and most places around here are not 24 hours. But I will say that they are way too busy during the day and finding a pump and getting served is sometimes not so straightforward. I don't know what else to say, but this Sheetz just can't pull it together, even after being there for years now. It's clear to see that they are established in their ways and won't be improving. MTO service is slow, sloppy, and nine times out of ten, your order will be wrong. They also just leave orders on the counter without calling numbers, and people have been known to steal other people's food. They refuse to use the shelves for orders that were put in ahead of time, and someone actually opened my order right in front of me. The drink coolers could use some work. They don't like to stock drinks, and what's even worse is that you can usually see cases of drinks through the half-empty and nearly-empty coolers. The women's restroom is often filthy with toilet paper and paper towels thrown about the floor. The toilets and sinks could use a good wipe down and cleaning more often, too. As far as COVID-19 goes, they aren't enforcing social distancing or mask wearing. They even allow customers to fight in the store when someone not wearing a mask gets too close to someone. Like really?! Have a manager step in and get those people out of there before someone innocent is hurt. They only good thing here is that they have both the indoor and outdoor dining still closed to visitors. The lottery machine is always empty, and when you want to purchase tickets from the counter (even before COVID-19), they say just to use the machine. It's even been known to eat play slips, and they won't retrieve them for you. The employees are rude or just don't care about their jobs and it shows. It saddens me to have to give a Sheetz a one star review. But I have to be honest. Of all the Sheetz I've been too, and it's a lot, this one deserves the one star. Let's start with this placement of a store, horrible. Cramming everything in there, including a car wash. Which leads into number two complaint. The wait...I waited ten minutes just to get through the check out line. This can lead into downfall number three, the staff. One person to man the registers while everyone else is in the kitchen preparing the food (ugh, we will get to that in a minute). The staff reminded me of a bunch of frat brothers bragging about their prior night's achievements, or a group of old ladies complaining about everything. I could probably recite to you their thoughts on a certain co-worker word for word, but I won't. Now, let's move on, let us visit my food experience here. I ordered my food (number 90), proceeded to the cooler to select my beverage, then went to the front to pay (ten minutes, remember? and I was the fourth person in line). I then waited another 25 minutes for my food to be prepared. By the time I left the store, Number 117 was receiving their food. How do I know that a person who ordered 27th after me was being called to receive their food. Because when they finally called my number I received 117's food. If I hadn't looked into the bag when I reached my car I would have probably been throwing away my food. I walked back in and told them it wasn't right, which they didn't believe me. I opened the bag, showed them the tags on the food, number 117, and then showed them my receipt, number 90. How, might one ask, did such a mistake occur? Well, because my food, when made, was not labelled, and it sat there for 25 minutes until they realized it was made. I would like to apologize to Number 117, if by chance you ever come across this review and read it. I apologize that in my anger when I came back in to get my appropriate items I ordered, that I slammed your bag full of food back down on the counter in front of not only the employees, but you. I hope your burger or what not you ordered was not smushed so much. Anger and the urge for Sheetz does not mix well for me. read more

In the past 5-6 months they mess up 4/5 of my orders. It's almost a guarantee at this point what whatever I order is going to be all wrong. This Sheetz is often preferable over Three Degree/McKnight GetGo locations. I feel that service is much better here, food is better, & the prices are affordable compared to GetGo's outrageous costs for premade & made to order choices. Any time I have had an issue, which is rare, the manager on duty addressed it immediately and with sincerity. My visits are typically at "off" hours so wait is minimal & orders are made correctly and quickly. Many times, I'll order on the app before leaving my apartment and the food will be getting finished by the time I arrive and make it inside. On those rare occasions that they're out of something (it is either the pretzel bun for hot dogs or the mix for the peanut butter shake), they'll let me know ASAP and offer an alternative or a refund for the cost of the item. People tend to forget that those who work in customer service are people as well & I have seen the employees here treated heinously by entitled snobs and whiners looking for a freebie. They always treat everyone with kindness. I've never seen any different. There is a young man who can have difficulty at times when working the register but patience with your fellow man goes a long way. Remember, would you treat your family member like that? If not, remember that they're fallible humans too... just like you! I would be remiss if I didn't show my appreciation for Ami, Neil, & Michelle. These three alone have turned terrible customer service experiences into a master class in human management. I have watched each of them take an irate customer head on & turn that negative into a positive by their patience, kindness, and in one case, proving their dominance by showing the customer that their ire was sorely misdirected because it was no fault but their own that caused their tantrum. If you accidentally pressed onions when you wanted pickles & proceed to rant & rave how they got your order wrong when in reality, you didn't want to assume responsibility for making a *gasp* human mistake?!? I sat there in awe as the customer was shown the small tag adhered to their MTO sandwich which detailed each selection made at the kiosks or on the app, sputtering in stunned "Well I never!" As the manager (I'm 99% sure it was Michelle) kindly offered to remake your food with the correct item you incorrectly missed while ordering. You didn't even say thank you. But I did it for you - these employees are just like you & me; human beings. They don't deserve to be torn to shreds because your order was slightly incorrect while they had a store full of waiting MTO customers. You get more bees with honey & kindness goes a long way. Gas tank number 4 needs fixed bad! I had to stand the whole time outside while pumping gas constantly having to hold down on the lever to put gas in as it kept popping up ever 5 seconds. I have no problem with the food or the store in general. I do have a problem with one of the employees. This was about a month ago and I do not remember his name. A couple friends and I stopped at this Sheetz after my friend's bachelorette party. She loves cats and we had cat ear headbands on (like the kind little kids wear). Every time one of us went to check out, the male cashier would not speak to us. He would just meow. He wouldn't even give us a total for our bill. I'm sorry, but this is not how to treat customers. We actually had to ask multiple times for our totals and after just meowing at us he'd finally give it. That's a load of crap. People should not be treated this way if they are paying customers. Stop here a few times a week for gas, a breakfast sandwich, or lunch. All was good until a recent incident with a staff manager. They were completely out of coffee. I get it. They were crazy busy. All employees were hustling. I managed to fill a cup with the remnants of three or four different types of coffees. I thought I'd let the manager know. I got a, "Well, clearly we're busy, you'll just have to be patient." First, I already had my coffee. I was just alerting her.
