Bought some fried chicken in the 8 piece selection. YUCK, dry, no taste. Was probably sitting out for a day. Never again.

I simply went on their website, logged in, saw several appointment times over the next few days, and made appointments for my husband and me. On the day of our appointments, the pharmacist was courteous and did an excellent job with the vaccine injections. To ensure that my husband and I did not experience any allergic reactions, we hung around by shopping in the store. I picked up a few items such as contact solution, hamburger buns, and cat litter. Products were in stock, and prices were low compared to many other retailers. At the checkout, several cashiers were working, and only one customer was ahead of us in line. The cashier wore a face mask, greeted us, accurately rang up our items, and thanked us.

Dave's Country Meats is a family-owned butcher shop that has served the community since 1981. We saw a nice assortment of beef, chicken, pork, turkey, kielbasa, bologna, burger patties, raviolis, vegetables, prepared salads, breads, pies, cookies, packaged grocery items (e.g., chips, nuts, and sauces), etcetera. We took a number to get in line for the deli meats. We chose a meatloaf, chicken salad, maple sausage links, and chicken patties. The total price was $30. The cashier promptly and politely rang up our purchase. We ate the foods at home. We thought that the foods tasted very good. Catering is also available.

The chicken is delicious and you can taste the difference in quality in the beef, pork and other meats. My favorite thing about Dave's is their willingness to cut a smaller portion for roasts and also if there is not a cut on display they offer to get what you request. The freezer wrapping is just the finishing touch on the reason Dave's shines when compared to other stores in the area. I am glad I have a wonderful butcher close to home that for as long as I can remember continues to provide the best meat. Thank you Dave's and the outstanding, friendly staff. 10 gold stars!

As far as large regional grocery store chains go, Giant Eagle is fine. I've never had a customer…read moreservice issue or significant issue, apart from one lost item by their dry cleaning contractor, over years of visiting their Market District and the brand locations like this one. Staff is friendly and helpful, though as I'll describe in a moment, I manage to avoid them anyway. This location is the smaller of the two in the Cranberry area, with a scaled back selection to match. Produce is notably more limited, and some more unusual items are missing from the shelves (and one popular item -quite often fresh thyme herbs have gone AWOL). But, this location is also usually less crowded. Balancing that is the parking lot which could have a more convenient layout. The deli here often has a longer wait than other GE/MD locations. I'm about equal distance from this location and the Cranberry one, so why come here? One reason - the Scan, Pay & Go system. This is their mobile self-checkout system where you can use your smartphone or one of their hand scanners to scan your items as you shop. You scan a bar code on the way out the door, wave a phone for payment, and you're done. I don't even need to bring a wallet. And if you don't feel like talking to anyone, you don't have to. And even if you walk out with a heaping cartful of items, you won't feel the anxiety of blocking the self-checkout lane with all your stuff. The location is clean. In-store prepped foods and premades are on point. Breads and daily items are stocked up in the morning and top items like milk and yogurts are restocked throughout the day. I've had to ask for something (not thyme) maybe once in a couple of years. Good local grocery. Split our dollars between this location, Costco, and Fresh Thyme in Cranberry and the Whole Foods in Wexford. Due to the Scan Pay & Go system, I find this one to be the most pleasant shopping experience.

I'm out of town but go with them when I'm back. They have a special service lane for handicapped people and they never act impatient or frustrated (my dad doesn't hear well and my mom has to use the motorized cart and it takes a minute for them to manage everything and check out. They act like you've made their day for choosing this store. It may seem silly but it's hard for my parents to get out and groceries and dinner are kind of a date night for them so it means a lot to me to know they are treated well.

I wasn't shopping for anything in particular but I wanted to see the new location. I picked up a basket and kept adding items. How could I pass up a nice size head of cauliflower? Or nice big radishes? Oh look I needed celery. As a cooking novice, I went with the "regular" mushrooms but I saw other types that I may need to come back for. The refrigerators had local dairy products, meat, and pierogies. I had to get the spinach and ricotta pierogies (made in McKees Rocks). I can't say no to a snickerdoodle cookie and there were pumpkin snickerdoodles too. Lots of homemade breads, pies, cinnamon rolls, etc. It is the attention to detail that stood out to me. The radishes were in a resealable (ziploc like) bag. The mushrooms were in a clam shell container. I didn't have to find storage containers which I appreciate. The staff were very friendly and well versed in the products. Ample parking. If you miss the GPS turn, make the next right and come in through the back of the parking lot. Very glad to see the Market has expanded in its new location.
