I would like to take this time to thank Giant Eagle (Gibsonia store) for taking the the chance on hiring my oldest son Trevor. He has been employed there for over fours years, his first and only job he ever had. He started off bagging and collecting carts to cashier and working in the cafe and selling alcohol by passing requirement set forth by the PA LCB. He has only called off work 3 times in the fours years he has been employed. He is a hard worker and we have heard from so many that have encountered Trevor and all the kinds words that people say about him as a person. They don't see Trevor as having AUTISM, but as a young man who has a huge heart. We have always been very proud of our sons accomplishments, and their success. But I'm even more proud of their failures, lessons that they will have to face, sometimes alone. Well Giant Eagle you certainly did not disappoint us. I cannot thank you enough for having one of you team member on management BULLYING Trevor. When he was asked to work an extra day, he complied, when you asked him to work longer hours he complied. Why did he do this, just to please the person harassing him. It got so bad that he was too worried about the front end coordinator asking him why can't you work more days, or longer hours and he had a hard time focusing on his job. Thanks for letting her constantly harass, bully, shame him so much, that his anxiety and stress went through the roof. It was so much that he wanted to put in his letter of resignation in. He will over come this and he will be a better person because of it. Giant Eagle you lost a great employee who was dedicated to his job, Trevor you have gained valuable life experience and know first hand how cruel others can be, but hey this wasn't the first or last time this has happened. You will be stronger for it. Thank you Giant Eagle for showing your dark side to those who might need a extra little help. Instead of being positive about a persons disability, you chose to embrace the negativity side and not listen. Trevor we love you and we are family strong. Friends, you will no longer see Trevor smiling while getting you through his line anymore. We will no longer be shopping there. I know there will be a place for you in the future Trevor, where a business will embrace your work ethics. Stay strong and always be positive. WE love you !!!!!! read more
