I stopped by last Wednesday night to do some grocery shopping. It's pretty big on the inside and there is a good variety of everything. It was difficult to find a grocery cart and we had to walk around to find one. We also had trouble finding a couple of items so we had to walk around to find someone to ask, which also took a lot of walking around since there didn't seem to be a lot of staff working. Once we finally found someone they were nice and pointed us in the right direction. Overall, it took a lot longer than I thought it would to get what we needed and get out. Additionally, I looked on their website and they would claim to have things in stock at this specific location but then we found find the spot where they're supposed to be and see just an empty space.

This is a really nice store. I recommend shopping here, the grabbing a nice pre cooked meal and then resting with a nice cold beer before heading home.

I ordered a birthday cake from the bakery and it was amazing. They did a great job decorating the cake and all of our guests said it tasted amazing

Giant Eagle's scan-pay-go process has made my shopping trips at Settler's Ridge very easy. Pick up a scanner at the store entrance, scan and bag groceries as you shop and weigh any produce and pay at the self service check out. The scanner shows you the cost of each item and keeps a tally of your overall purchase. Soooo easy!!!!

I almost don't want to leave this review because I don't want others to know my secret... this cake was cheaper than a cookie cake and much better looking. $11.49. Not only that, but it was delicious and paired well with a Start to Summer Sangria. Not only does Market District have a great bakery, they have a perfect wine selection to pair with any treat... and if apps and drinks aren't in your need for the day, grab a bite to eat at their pizza, sandwich, sushi or bbq spot.. I have tried all and not one has let me down!

The market place is much better than a regular giant eagle. I wish they had a bigger section of Pittsburgh items.

The employees are nice but the prices are a little inflated. I would only go here if I'm in a bind and can't get to a Walmart.

I also appreciate the fair return policy, if something is wrong they refund your money and also you can replace the item. They don't give you any grief if you need to return something like Giant Eagle. They have certainly expanded their selection and the quality has always been good. The only issue is that the items come and go just like Trader Joe's. I love the hummus chips that pop up every once in a while, but then they go away quickly. I have always loved the fact that they never use plastic bags, which is very sustainable. It is very good to have them in the neighborhood. Please note: if you park out in the front you will not be able to transport your groceries in a cart out to your car. The store is wired so that the cart gets locked up if you try to leave out of the front door. This can suck if the back parking lot is full.

The selection of products is smaller than what many other grocery stores offer, and the prices are low to moderate. My husband and I shopped at this ALDI in the South Side one time. We saw a decent variety of fruits, vegetables, dairy products, eggs, meats, seafoods, snacks, pantry items, beverages, and other products. My husband commented that the chicken cost less than the chicken at other grocery stores. We purchased several snack foods and beverages for a stay in a nearby hotel. The cashier performed their job well. We did not have to wait in line for long, and the transaction had no errors.

We ended up buying some frozen items so I picked up one of their freezer bags. We bought their Orange Chicken, some Ravioli, etc. Their freezer bag is great as we stopped by a pub and had lunch. Since I'm out in East Liberty once a week for work, I'm currently shopping at this Trader Joe's semi-regularly. It shares a large parking lot with other businesses, so parking itself isn't hard to find. Unfortunately other drivers are obsessed with parking as close to the doors as possible so there's always some traffic as they circle that section of the lot. I always try to get away from that circus as fast as possible! The store itself is nice, and it feels bigger or at least better organized than the one in the South Hills. So the foot traffic always seems to move efficiently as shoppers grab what they need. Speaking of shopping, I probably don't need to talk up Trader Joe's options too much at this point. We all know about and have our favorite seasonal deals and products (I admittedly go nuts when the pumpkin flavored goodies hit the shelves!). Their frozen offerings are also pretty good, which I especially appreciate when I'm too busy or tired to cook. My actual favorite item is their low calorie/low carb/high fiber wrap. I use these for at least one meal of mine daily because they're tasty and nutritious! And of course, the staff are always great - Trader Joe's has the best training for their team, hands down. I always leave with a smile on my face thanks to the chit chats we have during checkout. And with that, I'll wrap up my review by taking a drink of my Trader Joe's sparkling water - yum!
