I got turned onto Speedway when I learned that my Lowe's food gas points could be used on gas at speedway as well. All you have to do is link your Lowe's card to the Speedway app. Also there are points that you earn each time you buy something at Speedway and those points can be redeemed for things such as gift cards, gas cards, food, drinks, and often there are free perks too! On the Speedway app it will show you where the closest Speedway gas stations are and tell you their prices. I decided to review this particular speedway store off of Louisburg Road in Raleigh due to the amazing customer service they provide! Particularly from Shawn, an employee that I know has been there for at least the past year that I've been going. He always has a smile and a kind word. At a lot of convenience stores the staff comes off as not really wanting to be there but not Shawn!

They offer free wifi and have a TV in their small waiting area usually set on WRAL. There are some drinks and snacks that you can purchase as well as coffee. If you want free bells and whistles this may not be the place for you. If you want great, affordable service and care then stop in and check it out for yourself. Because it is family owned most of the same people have worked there since I've been coming here. Theresa, who works the front desk, is super friendly and always has a smile on her face. I have been a loyal customer with multiple memberships for my service vehicles, but that ends today. ​On Saturday, my 14kt white gold/1.5ct diamond wedding band came off while I was vacuuming my personal truck. I notified the manager immediately so they could retrieve it from the vacuum system. It is now Tuesday, and despite the high value of the item, I have not received a single follow-up call. ​Interestingly, they claim to have found a small earring in the system but "cannot find" a large white gold ring. It is highly suspicious that a small item was recovered while a significant piece of jewelry vanished. I am canceling all my business and personal memberships effective immediately and will be filing a police report to ensure the vacuum collection logs and surveillance are properly reviewed. I get my meatball sub toasted, which depending on the person toasting the sub it could range from a warm sub to a little burnt. I still enjoy it though. If you get chicken strips, it's two pieces and sometimes you get lucky with big pieces and sometimes they are the size of chicken nuggets. They come out fresh and I like the taste so that's a plus. Overall, it's not too bad of a gas station. The service is fairly quick and the food is what you would expect.

However, once I reached the end of the ramp, the sign indicated the Sheetz was 2.5 miles away. That excessively far for a highway services sign implying immediate access from the interchange. It ultimately took approximately 10 minutes to reach the store, and the distance appeared to be closer to 2.8 miles. The site layout is extremely poor. The property appears too constrained for the size and traffic volume of the store and gas station. It is surrounded by large retaining walls, and the gas pump area feels cramped, making it difficult to circulate around the building or access parking efficiently. Signage throughout the site is inadequate, and I was unable to easily locate the disabled parking spaces. Unfortunately, the interior layout is just as problematic. The entrance, checkout, and self-checkout areas are all compressed into a narrow space, creating congestion and forcing customers to maneuver through lines simply to enter or exit the store. The circulation pattern inside the store feels poorly planned and inefficient. The restroom was messy and did not appear to have enough stalls for the amount of customer traffic the location receives. I purchased two bottles of water. The beverage display itself appeared reasonably organized, but because of the confusing layout and lack of clear directional signage, it was unnecessarily difficult to find what I was looking for. Usually, Sheetz locations provide a consistently good experience, but this one was a major disappointment.
