It's not that hard to make a good shawarma -- even just lemon, garlic and salt gets you halfway there. My chicken shawarma lacked all of these basics, and was somehow also dried out and chewy on top of that. Salad veggies were clearly not fresh, and the sauces served on the side were -- mayonnaise-based? Restaurant interior is spartan and dated, and the owner had the front door propped open on a frigid fall day. He was friendly enough but would definitely not return. read more

Decent Schwarma with pretty good meat, mediocre tzatziki, and excellent "Schwarma sauce." I got the lamb and beef wrap. At $8, the price is quite agressive. The wrap is a good lunch portion but not overstuffed. The meat was probably a small handful, not a ton. It was savoury and flavorful with a nice juicy tender bite. The pita wrap was a bit dry/chalky grinding between my teeth but was crisp and just oily enough on the exterior. The tzatziki was goopy and just not very aromatic. Instead of berating them for a minor mistake at the beginning of Covid when there was mass miss-information. First the awesome things about this place: 1. they deliver after midnight 2. really fresh pita breads (not sure if they are homemade) and 3. dill in their tzatiki sauce. The salad was pretty fresh. The chicken kabob was juicy and good. The stuffed grape leaves were average. Sadly, the gyro (beef and lamb) was pretty salty. There were also a lot of onions in the salad and the meat. Perhaps this is not a problem for everyone, but to someone who could not eat them, it would have been nice to know. The hummus, however, was the biggest disappointment. It was used as a salad dressing. It is indeed the consistency or salad dressing. It did not seem to have any tahini paste in it. I think Zahav and Dizengoeff would gasp in horror then realize, their hummus empire is entirely safe. There are other establishments in West Chester that serve as good or better of these food items. read more

Excellent experience! Arrived to pick up my food and the owner was calling me to let me know it was about to be ready so that I could have it while it was still hot. We were in eye-shot of each other when I picked up which was funny for both of us. Today is the third time I've ordered from door dash and my order gets canceled by the restaurant and no one answers the phone to provide any information or another way for me to order my food. Avoid during CV-19- the cook was not wearing gloves or a mask and the attendant was not wearing gloves, his face mask was off when we entered to pick up our food and he put it on only to talk to us. High standards for food prep during this time are essential- please wear gloves and a mask when preparing food and encourage your employees to do the same.
