Plenty of delicious food is what you will get here. The portions are hefty and enough for two servings. I felt like I was back in the Mediterra nean countries while eating the food here because they give so much. The young guy who took my order and cooked the food had amazing customer service. He was very polite. And he knows how to cook. The presentation of the food was beautiful. I almost didnt want to eat it not to meas it up, but I was too hungry for that ;) I ordered the Chicken Saj sandwich which was very good. I had to look at their website to figure out which sandwich I had planned to order because one of the menu screens was broken. My sister and I were the only ones there dining in. Everyone else that came in picked up food to go. So it was quiet and a little warm inside but the young guy let the shades down to help minimoze the sunlight shining in. Very cool restaurant with mouthwatering Mediterranean food at reasonable prices. Can't wait to return and try something new.

Fire Fire Gyro with fries
Elaine R.

I've visited Shawarma Factory twice now already and I've ordered the same thing. The Fire Fire Gyro with Fries and my experience both times were completely different.. The first time I had it was an absolute knockout--generous portions of gyro meat packed into a perfectly balanced sandwich, bursting with flavor and satisfaction. If every visit were like that, I'd be a regular for life. However, the second time wasn't quite the same. A different cook prepared my meal, and the gyro felt noticeably lacking in meat, which took away from the indulgent experience I loved so much the first time. When it's good, it's really good, but consistency is key. Hoping they keep that first-time magic alive in every order!

Shawarma Factory is a solid choice if you're craving some quick Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food in Tempe. The parking right out front is a huge plus. I tried the fried chicken sandwich with crinkly fries. The fries were seasoned nicely, though they were just a bit overcooked, as was the fried chicken. Normally, I would have gone for a kebab, but I was in the mood for something different today. Next time, I'll definitely be trying the Greek salad and beef kebab! The yogurt, soda with mint out of the drink fridge was a great treat!

I was here on a business trip and just finished with the gym at 10:30 pm and was like what's open. Almost everything was closed except for this little gem. reminded me of when I was stationed over in Saudi Arabia. Good friendly customer service. Well done guys

Very disappointed -- food was bland and service was slow. Definitely not coming back.

Chicken Sajji Sandwich
Abir L.

Restaurant is in a prime spot in Tempe, catering mainly to ASU and neighboring area. We ordered chicken and beef sajji sandwiches which come with fries. My husband brought the food home for dinner. Food was definitely fresh. It was still hot by the time my husband got home. Flavor wise however, it was not our favorite. There was a very strong and strange flavor in both the beef and chicken shawarma; a flavor we were definitely unable to identify, and something that in our opinion, did not go well with the shawarma. The "sajj" bread was basically tortilla that was somewhat soggy by the time it got home. Again, not what we were expecting. Fries were ok and the Chicken was better than the beef. Price is ok for the portion size.

The staff has always been fantastic but tonight was my first date night with my husband since giving birth and Mary didn't know yet, but before she was already being accommodating and so sweet and when she found out we finally had a date night (have a toddler too) we ordered dessert and took care of it for us when she didn't need to! This place already is always so exciting to go and the food is fantastic but extra points because of Mary too

They have bread and pesto for the table and the pesto was the BEST thing i've ever eaten. The bacon wrapped dates were amazing. I am not a fan of dates but these were quite yummy!! The bruschetta was good but I would not order them again, they're very plain. Not in a bad way, but you can get this combo anywhere. The scallops melted in my mouth and they were absolutely delicious. My husband's braised ribs were delicious as well, the mashed potatoes were smooth. We wish we saved room for dessert! Highly recommend for your next date night! We made reservations the morning before and they had availability. I would recommend reservations to secure a table since this place is very popular over the weekend.

Parking is valet only, but since I'm not about that life, I found some parking on the street in a residential neighborhood five minutes away on foot. Ambiance (5/5): Definitely one of the areas in which thea shines. While they have both an indoor and outdoor area, I highly recommend sitting outside on the rooftop. If you do, you'll experience scenic views of the mountains in the background. If you can catch a sunset here, even better. Outside of the views, the restaurant has the fresh decor you would expect from a Mediterranean/Greek restaurant. There's also an outdoor area, and an indoor bar area, if you're just looking for drinks. Service (5/5): Attentive, friendly, and efficient service. Exactly what I was hoping for, especially on my birthday. They were kind enough to hook me up with a dessert for my special day. Much appreciated! Drinks (4.5/5): A full bar with a nice wine list and an interesting cocktail menu. I split a bottle of wine with my parents, but also started off with a refreshing cocktail. Food (5/5): I started off with the flaming saganaki because how can you say no to cheese flambeed table side. Dinner with a little entertainment. If you've never had saganaki cheese, it's a delicious Greek cheese. Pair it with some pita bread and you have yourself a delicious app. From there, I had the grilled skirt steak with crushed potatoes. Naturally, I ordered my steak medium rare. The skirt steak was sliced and cooked perfectly. The potatoes were well seasoned and paired nicely with the steak. All in all, a perfect meal. My parents similarly had great things to say about their selections. Thea isn't cheap. And it does have the see and be seen type of vibe which I'm not a big fan of. Yet, despite all of that, it's an excellent dining experience all-around. While it's more of a special occasion type of spot in my book, I'm definitely looking forward to stopping by again sometime!
