Really cool and neat foodhall near train station and they open late with live entertainment. We had Pick and cheese which was a neat concept of a conveyer belt charcuterie board. Good options and lots of dining space.

This place is nice. I liked walking in because it was air conditioned, and we were hot from the August heat in New York. My wife and I were on a little date. We ate at two different places, but together in the hall. The only thing is, I wish I had known about it earlier, I would have come here more. At Taqueria El Pastor my wife got two tacos and enjoyed them. I went to the chicken place and got a chicken sandwich, and it turned out to be Korean barbecue chicken, which was very good. Eleanor, our server, was very kind and nice. I enjoyed it all.

I'm a huge fan of food halls, so I was excited to check out this new culinary destination in town! Our first stop was the famed Pick & Cheese, and it was every bit as delightful as I'd hoped. Now the challenge is deciding where to go next. Chic-Chic? Taqueria? Or maybe Tompkins Square Bagels? The choices are dangerously tempting! At this rate, I'll just have to keep coming back until I've worked my way through every stall. A delicious problem to have!

Eating a slice of Cacio e Pepe at F & F Pizzeria that Sam gave me. It's always a joy to be here. A guitarist is playing and the US Open is being screened behind. Maybe it's not a good idea to have pizza late in the evening as this slice was quite leathery. I still prefer Cello's.

Opening day June 26, 2026, I went around 5:30pm. Had a nice low key crowd. It wasn't as busy as I thought it might be on opening day (keep in mind it's a summer Friday when some New Yorkers flee the city... it might not be on tourist's radar quite yet, even with all the social media and World Cup soccer traffic). Ambiance is a little more elevated than Time Out Union Square... each eatery has a customized sign unlike Time Out which chose a uniform sign design. I wish them tons of luck, I'm so happy to see the former Lord & Taylor space finally occupied again (I still mourn the loss of L&T)... I hate to say this, but I wonder if Food Halls have lost their appeal? the Pick & Cheese conveyor belt cheese is smart and possibly the spot for those IG videos/pix. They have a good variety of food, but none really wowed me. If they're smart they will allow vendors to collaborate with outside food vendors, to keep things interesting (build on pop ups popularity). Feel like they need a fun, trendy dessert option, besides gelato. Some of the vendors at Shaver Hall: F&F Pizza, smart they are selling by the slice or full pie. People will want some lower price point options. Slices start $5. Tallow Butcher Shop, great menu with burgers and French dips, fries $16-30+ ZaZu, Mediterranean Pastasole Tompkins' Square Bagels Tonchinette, ramen Butter Chicken Social, Indian Taqueria Al Pastor, tacos, quesadillas and more Chick Chick, Korean fried chicken Pick & Cheese, famous in London, conveyor belt

Came here on opening day for a coffee. When I walked in I was greeted by one of the hosts. He was very nice and showed me around and to where the coffee area is. This is a food hall with different types of restaurants/ booths. They have a bagel spot open in the morning and this coffee area is too. It is Tompskins square bagels that are here. For the coffee they just pour your coffee in a cup then you put your own milk in. I never did this before as I asked for an iced latte. The price is pretty high here for them just to put a shot or two of coffee in a cup with ice. I think it was over 10.00! with tip and all. This place also has a pour it yourself wine and beer wall. I will come back another time when I can experience some of the other restaurants and bars here. There is also a cheese spot that has a conveyor belt of cheeses, so I will also be checking that out too.

Normally, I don't get too excited about food halls anymore, but this one is in the former Lord & Taylor building. What's more, none that I know of have a spot that samples artisanal cheese on a conveyor belt. Note: this is the Amazon NY Corp building, and they keep the exterior looking the same as Load & Taylor did. Shaver Hall also happens to have a food stall from F&F Pizzeria, a Taqueria Al Pastor, a full bar, an Omakase, and a Tallow Steakhouse with a stall and a full size restaurant on the side corner of the block. Plus Pick & Cheese, Mako, Butter Chicken Social, Tallow Butcher Shop, and more. The place is big, corner to corner, but I am afraid that the location on 5th Ave between Bryant Park and the Empire State Building will make this a crowded space during lunch and after work.

Tompkins is in midtown!!!! Still too east but I digress. Tasted just like regular Tompkins and was absolutely delicious. Turkey bacon, egg, and cheddar on a French toast bagel thank me later. Space is gorgeous, tons of vendors and seating even an area for love music or performances.

Not just a food hall. It has a stage and giant TVs for event like Oktoberfest. From steakhouse to sushi to ramen to tacos to cheese to bagels and even a bodega that sells beer and wine by the ounce. The place such clean and inviting. The bathrooms are so so clean for a food hall. They have happy hours. They have festivals. A nice place to chill even if you are not eating or drinking. I love this new addition to my neighborhood.

This food hall is super neat! Atmosphere is cozy. Music is great, not too loud. The restaurants' service was pleasant!

The mozzarella sticks said 5 of them but we got four of them. They were good none the less. ::bathroom alert:: Very clean bathroom. I was very happy about this because I had just ate. There was tons of soap, it smelled nice in there. The beer and shot special under $10 in the city? Haven't seen that in awhile. The beers are super cheap here as well. They feel like old NY prices! Can't complain. They have four booths in the back maybe it was three. I did notice one of the hanging lights was from an 80s pizza hut joint. Letting you know now the paper towels for your face at the table felt like jail toliet paper, very rough. The bar doesn't have bar stools with backs! You either need to get one or two tables by their mini kitchen, very hot there not recommended for preimenopause or menopausal women or one of the booths. This is a great bar they played 60s music a lot. Heard some weird al too! Very random and fun place to be. The bartender was nice as well as security! Try the burger! Worth the $9!!

We are low key couple and enjoy supporting local businesses. They do offer food but we only wanted a couple of drinks. They have some booths available if you come w friends. So if you just need to wind down stop by local 42 for a drink or two!

This place has so much potential it's honestly a little offensive that it's not living up to it…read more Like... you walk in and you feel like something should be happening. The energy is right there, hovering, but it never actually lands. It's giving "almost iconic" but not quite--like a party that never fully starts. And that's what gets me. Because this bar could EASILY be that spot. The kind people plan their week around. Where are the themed nights? Where's the drama? The chaos? Give me a reason to come back on a random Wednesday. Do a city-event tie-in, a holiday takeover, literally anything that makes it feel alive instead of just... existing. Because right now it feels like a missed opportunity wearing a cute outfit. BUT--let's talk about the one thing they absolutely did not fumble: the view. The VIEW??? Insane. Genuinely stunning. The kind of view that makes you pause mid-sentence and remember you're in New York and not just spiraling in your own life choices. It's carrying the entire experience on its back, respectfully. So yeah. I'd come back... but mostly for the view and the potential. If they ever decide to actually do something with this space? It could be dangerous (in a good way). Until then, it's vibes... just not fully realized ones.

Great experience overall ... with a decent view of the fireworks show.... Drinks were overpriced…read moreand the DJ's music was a bit too over the top. Not the place to bring someone who may forget who they came with lol . The service was mediocre at best.. and there were not enough seats inside to accommodate more of the crowd..
