I am extremely picky when it comes to my nails and I have tried multiple places in the area and I have never walked out feeling like my nails looked the way I wanted them to until I tried this place. I was here last Friday. WORST gel manicure I've ever had! The polish is already peeling off of 4 nails. The whole manicure was rushed and sloppily done. Like others have said, for $35 I except perfection the first go around. The pedicures are AMAZING though (different techs so that's probably why). This place was good when they first opened but now it seems it's more about quantity than quality. Aside from getting a really good foot massage, everything else was sub par. I was asked if I wanted my toe nails cut and I said yes, but she only cut certain ones. The filing was super quick that I can't imagine that anything got filed. And then, just 1 coat of polish??? Really??? I wasn't sure because I was reading, but when I got outside you can tell that she only did one coat. It's like the fast food of nail salons. Came here for the first time to get a gel manicure. 3 stars because the salon is nice and clean and she was very quick to get the old polish off..I was actually in and out in 35 minutes which was perfect because I was on my lunch hour. However, I am a tad anal when it comes to polishing and she seemed to keep missing the sides of my nail, which drives me insane. But the finished product came out OK. When I went to pay, I had to ask twice...I usually pay $25 for a gel manicure and they charged $35. For that reason, I probably would not go back. read more

Everything seems very clean at Sharon Nails and I like how they use the liners in the tubs for every customer. I honestly haven't gotten my nails done elsewhere in a long time, so I don't know if the plastic liners are common, but I appreciate them all the same. The massage is usually pretty long and that is my favorite part of the experience. They have a great nail polish selection and my pedicures always last for a long time, making it worth the $30. read more

Based on all the great Yelp reviews, I made an appointment for my 17 year old daughter to get a french tip gel manicure and a french tip pedicure (no gel) for her semi-formal tomorrow night. When I spoke with Sharon on the phone, I had asked if they could still work with hardly any nails to begin with and she said yes. I then asked the cost of the manicure and she said $65 - but Mon - Wed $60. I never asked about the pedicure cost but the manicure sounded reasonable so I made the appt. I sent my daughter with $125 in her pocket and told her to tip 15-20% based on how she thought the service was. She texted me while getting a pedicure that this place was amazing and the people are SO NICE! Everything very clean and nicer than the place she went to last year. She loved the outcome today but when she went to pay - the man told her $130!!! She almost died and had to return to the car to get money from my husband - smart girl didn't tell him cost! I called when she got home - they said gel French manicure initial set was $100 - pedicure $35 and they deducted $5 for M-W appointment discount. I asked what happened to the $65 price - Sharon is out today but no I must have misunderstood. So I asked what a fill in would be - $50!!! I don't care if these nails last 4 weeks...that is an obscene amount of money to charge. My daughter is so upset - she is not even enjoying the nails because of the cost. Just wanted to warn others of the cost at this location even though the staff were wonderful. Service was 5 stars, Cost is 1 star..overall 2 star because I feel they were not forthright in their costs over the phone. Update 5/15/14 - one week later. Dropping rating from 2 to 1 star. Pedicure - French nail polish did not last even 24 hours on 2 big toes - all smooshed and she was wearing flip flops for 4 hours after pedicure before putting on shoes. Nails have held up but there is a definite visible line between the tip that was added and where the French manicure white line starts. I didn't see it until 2 days after the manicure but it really looks ridiculous but I won't say that in front of my 17 yr old daughter. What as ABSOLUTE WASTE OF $150!!!! Never again! My daughter has decided she will stick with the other place even though the Asian women talk about all the customers..at least they do a good job and cost half of this place. After reading reviews of Sharon Nail, my daughter and I went in for pedicures yesterday. We've been to many other places in the Spring Lake/Sea Girt area and have never been impressed. Sharon Nail was a really nice experience for both of us. We had appointments at 2pm and were in our seats by 2:05. Their basic pedicure took about 40-45 minutes and included some nice extras that you don't get everywhere. In addition to the scrub and message, they rubbed a hot stone and applied some type of wax to my heels that was wrapped with plastic (it wasn't explained to me but I'm guessing a callous remover). The color I picked was a shimmery light blue and Martha took the extra time to do a 3rd coat so it would have a nice solid color. I'm glad they gave my 13 year old the full attention. Often for her, some places skimp on giving her the full service even though I am paying for it. I will definitely be back. read more

I never do these, but TOTALLY feel the need. For the past year I have been going here to have my pedicures. They give absolutely amazing pedicures. Especially ANGELA she is the BEST!!!!!!!! I decided yesterday to have a gel manicure done, and I have had MANY of them before at other salons. I have to say it was the worst experience I have ever had and worst gel manicure. Jessica did my nails, and she was so rude. She would basically smack my hand to tell me to put it into the light, and she sat and made faces the entire time. She didn't talk when she wanted my hand, she just made gestures. Not to mention she sat there the entire time talking in another language. When she started to do my French manicure she did one nail, then went to another and must of not liked how it looked and took something and took off both nails. She continued to do this on both hands, over and over again. Then she kept say "baby nails" and started speaking in another language. Not to mention I paid $40. I went home and realized my nails look like CRAP! Half of them are barley painted, one nail has a dent in the middle of it. I had 2 nails that she did not even go all the way to the tip and I still have my actual nail showing. I was completely and totally rushed! It was like she did not even want to do my nails or be there. I will NOT be going back here. It's such a shame because I do love Angela(pedicure) but that was it for me. The rudeness is unbelievable! I am NEVER someone to complain, but I wanted to share so others can save their $$$$ and go somewhere else!!!!!! read more
