I love love love the catfish. The chicken tenders are amazing as well. If you love catfish skip everything else and get the catfish! Side note: they have really good ranch. I mixed mine with the hot sauce and dipped my chicken tenders in it AMAZING!

Large Cajun Butterfly Shrimp

I stumbled across this place and thought "why not". I had the large Cajun butterfly shrimp and a gotta say they cooked it just right, soft tender shrimp with just the right amount of Cajun spice. This large portion will satisfy a hungry person. Comes loaded with fries and garnish. In the time it took me to eat my food they already filled another 15 orders. Locals know something. If I come back to these parts I'll be back here for sure.

Very good eating if you like deep fried foods. However, if your preference is baked, broiled, steamed, sauteed, raw, vegetarian/vegan or any healthier option... don't even step foot in the parking lot! This review will be short and sweet. EVERYTHING is great, but you may need to bring your high blood pressure medication because there is fried salty goodness all throughout the menu. Today we had a total of 8 in our party and sampled: Fried Shrimp (4/5) - Only wish they had been a little larger Fried Catfish (4.5/5) - Well cooked and flaky Fried Chicken Gizzards (5/5) - Ah-may-zing Fried Chicken Wings (4/5) - I would have preferred it NOT dusted with lemon pepper seasoning (which they automatically do without asking). Buffalo Wings (4/5) - even the "mild" sauce singed my nose. Italian Beef Sandwich (3.5/5) - Different that what I'm used to, but flavorful. Seemed more like a beef stew sandwich than Italian Beef. French Fries (4/5) - Very good Onion Rings (5/5) - Awesome Cole Slaw (4/5) - typical and just what I expected. Banana Pudding (3/5) - We do it way better at home. Peach Cobbler (2/5) - Me thinks not! Notable conversation tidbits while dining here: "Dad, I really like this food, can we move here" "I think I just bit my finger, but I can't stop eating" "I need to unlock my second stomach" "Lawd Hammercy, it's so good" "I need a nap" THE VERDICT Solid and reasonably priced place to eat when in the Columbus/Fort Benning Area and just down the road from the National Infantry Museum. http://www.yelp.com/biz/national-infantry-musuem-columbus

Omg! I just spent 30$ and my order was all the way incorrect when I called to tell him the owner Chris told me to come from Lee county all the way to victory dr to get one piece of fish. Like sir u messed up my order all you trying to do is accommodate me with one piece of fish after I have to drive all the way from Alabama. Not to mention he was rude and do not have a food score in the store. if I could give it zero stars I would! And I always had a problem with these people.

This place filled up quickly and had large parties. I really enjoyed the back patio and Gabi was a wonderful server. The Lambrusco was delicious and nicely chilled. I really enjoyed my Caesar Salad, the bacon crumbles added a nice touch to the dish. The Moz Sticks were a little cold upon arrival but were still delicious. The fresh grated parm on the Vodka Radiatore and salad was heavenly. That should go on the moz sticks too! Love the decor of classic tiles and bistro tables and chairs. Really cute place, friendly staff, and great food!

This place is a great find in Columbus, GA. Located in an up and coming area on Broadway and near…read morethe river, Gabagool has a great vibe and feels right in and among the other industrial style brick buildings that have turned into great venues and restaurants. I was eating alone and sat at the bar and the server was respectful, attentive, and took my order quickly. The main reason this place drew me in was because of their menu emphasizing "home-made pasta." Anytime i see this in an Italian restaurant, I am going to because I've been searching for a restaurant to even come close to the homemade pasta my wife and I had in Florence, Italy. So in an effort to find that dish, I ordered the Bolognese. It wasn't exactly that true Italian bolognese that is closer to a stroganoff, but it was good. The dish has a great balance in the sauce-to-beef, and their homemade pasta was cooked perfect. I also ordered a side of their string fries with aioli. These were not as good as the main dish, they came out a little cold and lacked knock out flavor. Overall, I think this is a great spot, not just for an Italian place in Columbus, but for a true, homemade pasta experience. Every pasta dish I saw looked great and I loved the ambiance. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in Columbus!

Was told by my colleagues that the Parker house rolls and cinnamon butter was great. I had the summer salad (spring greens, cherries, strawberries, and a HUGE knot of burrata cheese, with an additional grilled salmon). This salad was incredible. Highly recommend! The table shared some deviled eggs. The pickled onions on the deviled eggs was so good. Everyone dipped their fries in the chili crisp oil and agreed it was one of the best flavor combos of the trip. Our server gave us an extra side of it and gave my friend a side of kimchi to add to his burger. Just great all around service and vibe. While the restaurant feels like the height of 2015-2020 design (let's road trip in our sprinter van to a shipping container cottage!), everything feels airy and good to be there

The hostess was warm and efficient, seating us immediately. Our server approached with the quiet confidence of someone who knows her craft--she was direct, professional, and all business in the best possible way. Even as closing time drew near, she kept my glass refreshed without needing to be asked, a small but telling detail that spoke volumes about her attentiveness. The space itself strikes a pleasant semi-formal note--clean, polished, and respectful without veering into stuffy territory. Behind the bar, the bartender was meticulously wiping down every bottle, a quiet display of care that set a tone of genuine pride in the operation. We began with a dozen oysters: six raw and six char-grilled. The raw specimens were on the petite side for the price, yet delivered a clean, bright, and pleasantly saline flavor that let the oyster speak for itself. The char-grilled version arrived with a savory Parmesan crust that brought its own appealing character--rich, cheesy, and nicely caramelized in a way that felt unique rather than derivative. The crab dip, however, was a standout. Far superior to the often disappointing versions we've encountered elsewhere, this one tasted of genuine lump crab meat, folded into a properly cheesy, indulgent dip that avoided any unfortunate "buffalo" detours. Served with crisp crostini, each bite was balanced and deeply satisfying--an authentic crab dip done right. The Korean cheesesteak offered an excellent harmony of flavors: tender, well-seasoned meat beneath a luxurious blanket of melted cheese, punctuated by the bright, spicy kick of kimchi and the refreshing snap of pickles. It was delicious, though for the price, I wished for a more generous filling and a bit more heft to the sandwich overall. The mac & cheese arrived in a commendably generous portion, with a beautiful Parmesan crust on top. Visually appealing, the dish unfortunately fell a touch flat on the palate. The noodles were properly cooked and coated in a creamy sauce, yet it lacked the depth and seasoning one hopes for-- a pinch more salt and pepper would have elevated it considerably. The fish and chips presented a towering mound of fries that carried decent flavor but lacked the shattering crispness one craves. The real disappointment lay in the presentation of the fish: two fillets stacked atop one another, causing the steaming heat to turn the once-promising breading soggy and prone to sliding off. That said, the fish itself was excellent--flaky, moist, and delicately sweet with a lovely buttery quality. It was the unfortunate interaction between steam and crust that kept the dish from greatness. The roads were a little dense, so not necessarily my particular style, but I'm good. The butter that came with them was very unique to say the least. To drink, both beers arrived filled to the absolute brim and proved so enjoyable that I would gladly order them again without hesitation. Overall, the evening delivered solid, thoughtful plates in a well-run environment, with several bright spots that make a return visit tempting--particularly for those oysters and that excellent crab dip.
