I have been patronizing sharksburger since the first week they opened several years ago. I have taken friends and family their and recommended it to many. I respected the family and gentlemen who worked so hard to make this business a success. I went there today. I was waiting in line behind one young man. A young woman came out of the back and started yelling at the top of her voice (with eyes closed) that she would not serve anyone without a mask. The young fellow in line in front of us was not wearing a mask and collected his food and left. The cashier said I had to put on a mask or I could not order. I pointed out that I was more than six feet from her. Which is in compliance with the official Leander sign on the Door. We were not served. We left and, sorry, will not be back. It is apparently not run by the hardworking folks, Dino, and family, that started this business. We went to Jardin del Rey instead! read more

Very tasty and reasonably priced burgers. And locally owned! I ordered the great white cheddar burger. Pete over the phone (I think he is one of the owners) was very polite and took my order professionally and correctly. My burger was delicious, cooked exactly as I ordered it and built exactly as I ordered it. There was a mountain of bacon on this burger! Yes, bacon, the best of all vegetables! They should call it "Mount Bacon Burger." The fries were standard crinkle fries, but cooked perfectly and finger-licking delicious! I called in a to-go order and the guy on the phone was super friendly! Really upbeat and helpful. He estimated the order would be ready in 10 minutes and I think we arrived in about 8 and the order was ready. Another pair was arriving to pick up a to-go order as well. Important note - Apple maps is once again wrong about the location! Or, was for us. It said we had arrived as we passed the CVS and cemetery. This location is actually at the corner of Sunny Brook Dr & Hero Way inside the Shell. On that note, yes it is inside of a gas station but I have to agree with the sentiments that some of the most surprisingly tasty food can be found in some Texas gas stations. This is no different - Sharks Burger is delicious! I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich no tomato and my hubs got the sharks burger with American cheese also no tomato. Since we had never been, we decided to get an order of both the fries and tots to try each. Total for these items was just under $20 and it was so much food! The order was correct and hot. There was ketchup in the bag. I didn't know the standard sharks burger was a double meat and we ended up with about a third of the burger left and half of the fries plus half of the tots. The fries are battered and both sides tasted fresh. The buns were really delicious. I normally remove half of the bun from my sandwiches but I just flat out did not want to here. The proteins were well seasoned and juicy and the veg was crisp and fresh. My grilled chicken sandwich came with Swiss and bacon and the bacon was crisp without being over cooked. We were only driving through and had our dog with us so had to eat in the car. It was funny and sad to hear the little dude tippy tap in protest in the backseat as we neglected to give him any of the food. My husband went in to pick up the food and pay and he said that everyone in there (working for Sharks Burger) was incredibly friendly and seemed happy to be there. He noticed three tables to eat at and overheard a convo between staff and seemingly regulars that they just started online ordering. (Look for a coupon available!) my husband said a SB employee also recognized that this regular had just gotten a haircut, gosh I love service like that! I am both sad and relieved that we don't live in that neighborhood right next to this Shell! We will definitely find our way back to Sharks Burger, though, the next time we visit family in the area. read more

Don't be freaked out it is in a gas station! One word to describe it... "YUM". I had the cheeseburger with bacon and a side of fries. My husband had the blue cheese burger special and tots. The burgers were perfectly done, buns were freshly baked and generous amounts of veggies. The fact it is in a gas station is interesting and a bit of the charm with finding a hidden gem. Moved to Leander about a month ago. Noticed this place really close by the house and decided, WHOTTHEHEK, it's so close to the house even if it's a mediocre burger, it's still a value due to convenience. Holy schmaloly, this place is great! Forget the convenience of being close by, it's got dang good food. Been here close to a dozen times now for burgers and breakfast tacos. Firstly their burgers. They are great. They have a mix of prebuilt burgers, but you can order it any way you like with several options (various cheese types, bacon, grilled peppers and onions, etc.) And the usual condiments plus their custom shark sauce. When I say pre-built i mean they already have predetermined contents. They aren't pre-cooked. All food is cooked to order, when you order it. You really can't go wrong. My current favorite burger there is the standard shark burger (it's 2 - 1/3 LB patties) with all the veggies, bacon, with shark sauce. The shark sauce is great. Like a spicy aoli sauce. Goes great on their burger. They also have excellent chicken strips Not those little nugget thingys but big slabs of white meat chicken, not overly breaded. Another great thing i like is you can get fries or tots with your meal. They are both excellent. Last thing I'll suggest is to call in your order and before you place your order ask what the weekly special is. Their menu is online, but the weekly special is only on a board by the counter. I've missed out on some really good sounding burgers by not doing this. I just order and run out the door and when I get there and see the weekly special is, have momentary burger regret...until I bite into what I ordered then I forget all about the special. They also have great hand made shakes. I would give their sammiches and shakes 5 stars on their own. But they have great customer service, at least on all my visits. Reasonably speedy service too, considering they are a small outfit. Now regarding their breakfast tacos. First please understand i don't love breakfast tacos. My least favorite ingredient is eggs. So any breakfast taco for me that has eggs is starting at a disadvantage. I need / like a good salsa or sauce to overcome that. That being said I like their breakfast tacos. They are pretty good. They are very fair size and reasonably priced and they are pretty packed with ingredients. I would just give them 3 stars for taste and 1 for their sauces and 1 star for customer service so a total of 5 stars for breakfast too. I love their burgers, but i just like their tacos. But I like them a lot because of their great sauces. Come here for breakfast or lunch (or both) and your taste buds will be in for a treat. They are pre-made / rolled, so you can only get what they made. Even though I don't love their tacos I know they are well made and they are very fresh. They have this green sauce that is excellent. But they also have an excellent ranchero sauce that would go great if they ever did a huevos ranchero plate. Excellent burgers and solid tacos. I stopped in today for the bruschetta chicken sandwich advertised on FB. The sandwich was very good but I was extremely disappointed to see no one (I mean no one!) wearing a mask.
