Avoid Wendy!!!! I don't usually leave bad reviews but I am so disappointed in my haircut/experience…read moreat this location that I HAD to. I love my hair so I am really personally upset about this. I've been growing my hair out for a long time and it's very healthy. Before I went in for my haircut I had a few long layers in the back and some face framing pieces. I went in and asked for *just a trim*. I explained I am trying to grow my hair out and I am only interested in a healthy trim to get the dead ends off, but my hair is overall very healthy. I got more and more anxious as the time went on. I've gotten haircuts at many many great clips and it has never taken more than 10 minutes, but this woman had me in the chair for 30 minutes. Actually, for the first 5 minutes she asked me to stand up so she could cut my longest layer? This has NEVER been asked of me before but I went along with it. Then she kept misting my hair with water, and getting it tangled as she combed through it. I kept telling her my hair tangles from the wet dry combo, but she kept spraying and combing and taking her time trying to get through the tangles that she herself was causing. She also would get the scissors STUCK IN MY HAIR as she was trying to get through the knots she caused. This happened multiple times. What also made me anxious is the fact I kept seeing more and more of my hair being cut from the back. I said again, I only wanted long layers I don't want to take off length. And I had to ask her to stop when she tried to keep cutting towards the front of my hair. It was the WORST experience I've EVER had getting my hair cut. I felt so uncomfortable at so many different points. The woman also at one point was combing the hair in front of my face, and she bumped me in the face with her hand... that would have been able to be ignored/assumed was an accident except she then said "oh sorry I didn't mean to punch you in the face, why would I want to do that?" Again, I was extremely uncomfortable. I finally had to STOP HER from causing another tangle in my hair and told her I would just brush it myself. I asked if we were done because it had been 25 minutes when I asked for a simple trim and she was no longer cutting anything, she was just taking her time combing through my hair, causing knots, and detangling it. She said yes she was done. So I brushed my own hair out, I paid, and I even tipped more than I should have, but I got out of there feeling very uncomfortable. When I got home I was very disappointed to see how much length she had cut off. I did NOT ask for any ADDITIONAL layers - I asked her to trim up what I already had. What's even worse is that she must have never cut long layers before, or maybe it was her first day, or maybe she just didn't want to give me a good haircut because nothing is even, it looks so terrible. I attached photos so you can see. My hair looked better before I went in, and now I am going to have to go cut more length off and pay someone else to fix what she did. It says on the receipt ***her name is Wendy*****, she was an older woman, long bleached blond-ish curly-ish hair, it was in a ponytail. I feel screwed over by her. Also - I've been going to Great Clips for a long time. I've enjoyed the convenience for years of knowing I can use their app to get on the list, and then go get a quick trim every 3-4 months to maintain my growth. I've lived in many different states and been a loyal customer across the country. I've had so many good, fast, simple haircuts that it really hurts me to now have this bad experience. I now feel like I can no longer trust the Great Clips brand. What used to be an affordable and reliable option now seems to be an *avoid at all costs* situation. Disappointing. I will no longer be trusting Great Clips with my hair. Lessons learned, and I hope this review saves someone else from what I went through.

Paulo is absolutely one of the most talented hairstylist I have ever had the opportunity to do my hair. His color expertise and his haircutting style is incredible and he has a wonderful pleasant personality to go along with it. I initially wondered why he would be at a mall salon but after my experience it completely changed my views. I was able to grab Starbucks and do some shopping when I was done and the parking was incredibly convenient. The staff was all incredibly friendly offering me wine, coffee, tea, water and magazines. I am definitely going to be a regular client here!!

Lucas was patient and gave me a great haircut until I was just about to walk out of the building. I…read moreasked for long layers to be added to my hair without taking off any length. He did that. It looked great. I told him it looked perfect that my hair has never looked so good. It was exactly what I wanted. I wanted my super thick hair thinned and not choppy. He then says he's going to make it "perfect." Im really confused because I just told him it looked perfect but I trusted him to just do some last minute trimming. Well next thing I know half my hair is gone. I'm in shock I said I wish you hadn't done that; tried to look on the bright side and think of how it'll always grow back. I paid, ran out the door and have been crying ever since. I don't see any layers left. I have short bangs and half my hair chopped off. It feels thicker on the ends than when I started. It is literally a nightmare. I cannot put my hair up in a bun anymore without a hair tie because it's so bluntly cut on the ends. Wish I never went in, I'll have to wait a year for it to all grow out. In the meantime I have to spend extra time to get extensions put in. The reason I'm writing this is because had he stopped and just done what I had asked i would have been really enjoying this hair cut. I can't go back and fix it but I do hope Lucas reads this and starts actually listening to his customers so this doesn't happen to anyone else.

This Great Clips location is, for lack of a better term, GREAT!!!…read more Brief Summary: Finding the right place to get your hair cut can be tricky sometimes. You always want to get a good haircut, but, you don't necessarily want to go through 15 horrifyingly bad haircuts either while you try to find the right place and person. Thankfully, I lucked out and stumbled upon this Great Clips. It's small, clean, modern, and the staff is terrific. Definitely a place worth checking out. Would I Recommend This Business? Yes! Service, Staff, and Location: Located in Lakewood Ranch, this location is perfect due to its proximity to residential areas and to the local Publix. Service here is always top notch, mainly due to the amazing staff. I've been going here for about 5 years now, and their team is always great. Everyone is super friendly and fun to talk to. My personal hair stylist, Alyssa, is absolutely incredible. I've been going to her since day one, and I always look a million times better when I leave than when I came in! Kudos to the whole team at this location! Final Thoughts: I always used to cut my own hair. My thinking was always, "It's cheaper!". But cheaper isn't always better. After going here several years ago for what was supposed to be just a one time haircut, I ended up coming back every month and never cutting my hair again! This Great Clips location has turned, what used to be, a daunting monthly task for me into something I look forward to each month. That alone should speak towards the quality of this location and the staff that work here. Final Scores: Service/Staff/Location - 5/5 Total - 5/5 Stay fresh Mother Fooders! :p

OH MY GODDDD, oh my god. The people here are amazing. If I…read moredidn't live in Central Florida I would be a regular customer here. I saw Cintia for a hair color and wax, and she's one of the nicest hair stylists i've ever had the pleasure of being a customer of. I guess she's a "master stylist" (I have no idea what that means in terms of tiers, I guess top notch?) and she's just awesome. Before even getting started we discussed what I had in mind, what I wanted to do, and she asked me to pull up some pictures of me with the hair color I wanted. I showed her, and she put in her professional opinion (which I encouraged her to do) and was very polite about it. I've had some aggressive stylists in the past who have just told me "no, that's bad" and gave me their own color opinion and insisted on it instead. She pulled out some swatches and matched my natural hair color, and we went from there. I ended up deciding on a plum/violet/red/brown color instead of the apple red I was originally going to do. It just looked way better than my original idea, and her opinions and pointers helped out a lot. I was offered drinks while waiting around, magazines, and it was pretty fast overall. I spent maybe an hour and a half there, if that. Everyone there was super friendly, and I would go back in a heartbeat. Can't recommend this place enough. Great people, great atmosphere, and they don't make you feel uncomfortable like some salons (you know you've had some of those awkward encounters, don't lie). A+++++
