After a pretty inexcusable and poor experience/service I had with Isabellla at their landings location I feel so grateful to have found a great team of professionals to help me look and feel my best. I went to this salon a few years ago when I moved into the area and it's what you expect from Aveda. My daughter used to have a stylist she loved also. We have found that the only drawbacks are 1. They seam to have a steady turnaround of stylist so you can't get to attached 2. Plan on the bill being must more than quoted! Also received a email this past week that their prices have increased due to Covid. I haven't even been to a appointment and already they are raising prices. That turned me off a little especially since their prices are high to begin with due to the several tier system they use. Reality is for an experienced stylist let's say level 4 and above your going to walk out with over $200.00 price tag. Oh and that's for up to shoulder length hair with shampoo, toner, cut and style. If you add any color or any special treatments it really gets expensive. Place is always clean and staff are nice my favorite area inside is the peaceful massage and aroma therapy area where they wash your hair it's so relaxing. Every city has a premier hair salon. In Sarasota, it's Nuovo Salon! The staff is very friendly. The hairdressers are highly skilled. I have crystal white hair but I'm not ready to go that route. My hairdresser Keera does a beautiful job coloring over it with a rich brown color! I have fine hair & she is able to give me a cut that makes my hair appear fuller. I highly recommend that you treat yourself to the best! read more

Have been going to Ericka at Nuovo for a couple of years. My previous appointment I called because I heard their prices have gone up. They quoted me $75.00. When i went to pay it was $87.00! I just went back on Nov. 29 for a cut. When I went to pay they said that's $92.00. With the manager standing right there I asked why it was $92.00. She explained to me that they were now charging for the shop's recycling costs!! She said yea your hair in the floor...the girl that was cashing me out interrupted her and asked me when would I like to make my next appointment for. I said never I'm done the next thing you'll be doing is charging for your electricity after all you do use hair dryers on our hair!!! And I walked out!! I'm sad because Ericka is the best stylist I have ever had and I'm 65 years old with long hair and she's the only one that does exactly what I want. I get compliments on my hair all the time and I always recommend Ericka but I will never go there again!!! read more

Hello everyone I would like to come on here & write a few things. First I would like to say this salon is very pleasant & the ambiance is swell, & Jennifer the manager is very sweet and very understanding. On another note my mother who came to this salon had been getting her done with Luis & the last time she went there to get her usual hair cut, color etc, he acted completely idiotic it was absolutely absurd Luis was yelling at my mother in-front of everyone in the store for no reason at all, Luis began to tell her " Get out of my chair now!" For no reason. Other customers who were waiting told the manager about what Luis did & how he acted. I 100% recommended to NOT go with Luis as he was unprofessional, rude, obnoxious, he is everything you do not want in a salon environment, as you go to these salons to relax and enjoy your time, not to be humiliated for no reason at all! My mother is a very respectful woman, sweet person no idea why this happened to her. Such a shame. read more

I was in town over the holidays and booked a highlight with Mikel (not sure if this is the correct spelling). Was surprised when I checked out that the price was higher than the last visit. When I asked why, they informed me that the stylist added a gloss for $40.00. Without asking me. She actually added on a service without telling me. Shady to say the least. I hate the haircut I just received! I asked for a new style and they gave me the same cut! I kept asking the stylist for a change, fresh look and all they did was cut on the back of my head for an hour and a half. Disappointed! Love Nuovo! One thing about Nouvo (among many others) is that you will always get a high quality experience. I have been going to Nuovo since I moved to Florida 3 years ago. I am very picky about my hair and was so happy to find Sandra as my stylist and colorist. Her assistants are always good as well but she is great. I go to Nuovo at Cooper Creek but would follow her to the Landings if I had to do so. Another gem of a person is Dee at The Landings who specializes in eyebrows. Wow, she is awesome as well. Walk in, new customer and couldn't have been more satisfied! Arrived about 10 minutes early and the receptionist had me all checked in and got me a drink. Violet got the formidable task of chopping about 6-7 inches off my hair and was super nice through the entire cut. She listened to what I had in mind, looked at pictures and offered opinions. She gave me probably the best wash/massage I've ever had-I could've fallen asleep it was so relaxing. She didn't rush the cut at all- which was welcomed and really cared about taking the time. I'm giving this place one star because of the experience I had recently here. I was happy that the new place opened up which is close to where I live. I went in for a blowout and got there before my scheduled appointment time. After sitting there for ten minutes, after the appointment time, I was not told as to why my appointment had not begun yet. A lady came in after me and was received very quickly and was offered right away if she wanted water to drink. The whole time I was sitting there no one had even spoke to me or at least offered me a beverage. It was upsetting and I walked out. Twenty minutes after someone called me from the salon asking if I was still there. Seriously?!?! After twenty minutes then they looked for me. I was pressed for time and had a wedding to go to. I took my business elsewhere and was treated very nicely and made it to the wedding on time. read more

There were a few things that made me give this place an overall 3 stars. I called to make an appt and they were able to get me in on the same day for a color, cut, and blow dry. I was assigned to Beth, who sat down with me and discussed what would be best for my hair. She did what I wanted and told me the price up front. If I could give her 5/5 stars alone I would. The atmosphere of this place just isn't very inviting. When I first walked in, someone asked if I was there for an appt with Beth; I said yes and he told me she would be out shortly. For the next 5-10 min I sat there with no one saying anything except for the manager and two employers who were talking and laughing amongst themselves, making it seem like they were very distant and unfriendly. read more

Not happy at all with this salon. I requesred asked a senior stylist and got a rookie that let me say... I could have had better cut from a strip mall discount 10$ haircut salon, for a child I might add. Laura needs more training, much more training in all aspects from washing hair, combing hair, cutting hair, massages and customer satisfaction. She knew she messed up and it was over her head. She is a nice girl but just because you like cutting hair doesn't mean it's the right vocation for you. Note to front desk when someone calls for a pro, give them a pro ...your first mistake. Management thanks for listening and trying to make right however I would suggest you just don't fill your floor to fill it. I found Nuovo when looking for an Aveda salon near my in-laws-it was my first time here. Everything started out fine. Emily was my stylist who was friendly and had my color formula all ready as they had contacted my Aveda Salons in New York. I also enjoyed the shampoo massage to rinse out the dye. The 2 star rating is because after I left and touched my ear, my finger was covered with dye, I checked the other ear-same thing. I walked back to the salon where Emily rushed to clean my ears with a tissue. I had to ask her to use the stain remover gel that she had given me when I was in the salon which I had expected her to do without asking but I guess she was too busy for me since I already tipper her. I first want to start off by saying that I have been coming to Nuovo Salons since I was 16. I am now 35. The 3 star rating is solely based upon the actual vibe in this particular salon. If I was to base my stars on the actual stylist which is Scott Morgan, then there aren't even enough stars. I would give him 10 stars if I could. I have had Scott cut my hair almost every type of cut anyone could have. He is precise and always has my hair looking amazing. When I walked in a was greeted very nicely. It was my daughter's first day at work and I was taking her immediately after my appt so she sat nearby as Scott cut my hair. At my usual Landings location, I would have been greeted by almost everyone. My daughter would have been greeted as well. At this Cooper Creek salon no one spoke (except person at front and Scott) and my daughter was looked at in a way that someone looks at a person that doesn't belong there. Needless to say my daughter later told me that the people in there seemed very rude and snobby. I would return to this location ONLY to see Scott. If Scott were ever to go on vacation I would most definitely make the drive to the Landings location if I needed a stylist to fill in. I hope that some adjustments are made to make the bad energy and vibe in this salon better and more like The Landings salon. read more

I have been going to the Nuovo Landings location for over 10 years. The Cooper Creek location is closer to me so I decided to give them a try. I met Bree who is Terry's assistant. She was spot on. Personable and a lot of fun. The color was perfect. The salon is beautiful and quite comfortable. The only downside was at checkout. The sky had turned pitch black and the thunder was booming outside. The two men at the checkout counter continued to chat and joke while I stood there, waiting. I finally said, "Excuse me." One finally looked over and said, "Okay how can I help you?" I waited while he checked me out. By that time the sky had opened up and a downpour ensued. Since it did not look like rain when I went in I had no umbrella. There was an umbrella by the door. At the Landings they offer to walk you to the car holding an umbrella. These two guys looked outside looked at me, and went back to their conversation. Luckily, I did not have my hair styled or it would have been a true disaster. read more

I was in the Aveda shop at UTC and the saleswoman had a fantastic haircut and color. I asked where she had her hair done and she indicated by Keera over at the Nuovo Salon across the street (Cooper Creek). She offered me a coupon and a glowing recommendation to go see Keera as they only use Aveda products. Best phone call I ever made. Keera not only did a wonderful job with my color and highlights, my haircut was exactly what I envisioned. I've been back several times for root touch up and different color highlights just to mix it up. Keera is very attentive to what I want and I always walk out feeling like a million bucks. --Yes, this place is busy as a beehive, and yes, all the other stylists are busy with their own customers. The vibe is what you'd find in salons up North in the bigger cities. This is not your small town neighborhood salon where everyone knows each other and sits around gossiping. No drama. I'm looking forward to my next appointment in a couple of weeks! read more
