Recommended by a few people in my neighborhood. I had been ill for over 2.5 years and my hair truly suffered. Paige was fantastic: really listened to my history, concerns, etc. Mind you, my hair, face and body were vastly different, and she's on a path to nourish my hair and scalp. She really understands the health implications and the emotional aspect of when one!s body doesn't work well. I would never recommend this salon to anyone! I was very excited about my daughter's up coming wedding and set an appointment up a couple weeks back with one of the owners, Travis Scheuer . They said at this time he only comes in a couple days a week and is $65.00 for men's cut! We set an appointment from 2/4 at 1:30. Although the price seemed high, I thought I would receive a great cut and thought it would be worth it. Yesterday I received a telephone call from Cutting Loose LWR stating that Mr. Scheuer is cancelling my appointment, as he has decided he is no longer accepting "new clients." WOW! Then why did his associate set an appointment to begin with? How rude to call me one week prior to my appointment to tell me this! The young lady offered another "highly skilled person." Why would I support a salon that treats customers this way? I told her to tell the owner to "Shove it up his ***." and that he is a terrible businessman. I'll be sure to tell all of my clients and friends to not support this salon! read more

Kelly, thanks for everything. You really are a nice person with class. And the staff will go to all ends to lie to customers for you. They said that you didn't have any openings for 4 months. But when someone i knew called he got a quick app with you and his daughter without hesitation. He called back to change that date and the front desk had several more openings with you. But when i called it was a different story. Kelly has nothing open. When you called me and said you had nothing as well and he shouldn't have gotten that app. He never got a cancel. All a lie... everyone lied. After our call i relized that app i practically begged for in august was a big mistake. This salan is low class. A cult.. dont go here. Very happy here. Have been getting my hair cut and colored with Gianna for nearly a year. Having been new to this area, it wasn't easy to find the right place or stylist but shes it. She is kind, patient, takes her time on your hair as if it were her own. A bit pricey but not outrageous. Always easy to schedule. Older woman at the front desk is unpleasant even rude. If they gave her an attitude adjustment or replaced her, this would be the best salon in town. read more

WORST haircut experience! My hair isn't even, there are longer pieces that weren't cut properly and my angles aren't straight! The entire look is very jagged, angular and rough as if an inexperienced stylist did it. I prayed $60 plus tip for nothing because I now need to go elsewhere to have it fixed. No star earned here. Bought product it was half empty and looked used. I also bought 2 large refillable shampoo and conditioner and it looked different felt runny and didn't wash like it was correct like it was watered down. I brought back the one and told her and showed her it looked half used. She and another person did agree. I told her about the other 2 products and she said well bring them back and we will take them back. In the meantime we did just get in the normal size products if you want to buy them. So I bought them and left Came back a few days latter and the girl said oh if you want a refund you have to come back on Monday when the manager is in. Went back again on Monday and she the manager said of I am sorry we can only give you a store credit. I said wait what? I want my money back. She refused and said that they dont do that, She said its our policy and I said well dont you think you should inform people of that before they buy it and she pointed to the small sign and said its right there and its on the receipt. (by the way its not I looked). So I said I want my money back that was not apparent and she said no. I said that is bull shit and she said you need to leave it you are going to talk to me like that and I said oh dont worry I am leaving you can give me a credit on my account and I will never be back here but I will bring a homeless person in to get pampered and use my credit so it doesn't go to waste. i then left. Honestly, you are going to water down products and blame the retailers - which they did is a bunch of shit and I wish I had the products still so I can give them to the companies to let them see how they are selling their product's Oh and she claimed the the name of the product's have changed but there was not change in the formula's and almost insinuated that they did change it to make it different but didn't want to put new formula on it. That is most likely false as well... now why would they do that or fill the products with water or take half out. DO NOT BUY ANY products from them. Buyer beware. I will be contacting the companies next to let them know just how their products are being sold. I had to give one star to post this review but I didn't want to give them that at all. read more

I'm relatively new to the area (from NY) so I've been searching high and low for a solid stylist to cut my hair. I'm SO picky when it comes to people coming near my hair with scissors (I've had quite a few Edward Scissorhands royally screw up my hair in the past). But, I have to say I am absolutely elated that I stumbled upon Travis at Cutting Loose Lakewood Ranch. He listened to me rattle on about all the things that drove me nuts about my hair. I didn't come in with a picture or anything, but he certainly gave me exactly what I wanted! I walked in with a hot mess and left with hair I won't be throwing in a bun any time soon. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience and my hair. Travis is very personable and his assistant is such a sweetheart! I highly recommend this salon. Very clean, very professional, and I would definitely return again. PS: My mom and grandmother also wanted their hair cut, and they were able to accommodate us all at the same time with different stylists. Jamie and Kendall were fantastic for them as well. Thank you to Emma forTaking me as a walk in recently. I explained my hair desires/needs/goals and Emma was able to work with me as I am growing out a pixie cut. She artfully took the weird bulkiness from my grown out pixie and made it all make sense. I will periodically go back for some skilled shaping as my hair counties to grow. Updated review. Emma Is my go to for by color and occasional cut and I also see Courtney from Time to Time. Today, I had a last minute appointment with Courtney and she is skillful and kind. I get my hair cut here by Kayla who knows all of the newer styles and/or colors. Kayla is always steady, on time, and does an awesome job.

I've been coming here for years. There was a time I strayed (when I was a poor nursing student) but thank god my peasant days are over! They are pricey ($40-50 per cut) but Charlene is hands down best bob maker ever. If you bring in a picture for inspiration, by some fabulous work of magic, Charlene will make you look like a better version of that picture. Being new to the area, & already going thru 2 salons ( way overpriced!) I read reviews on yelp & decided to give Cutting Loose Salon a try. Was booked with Kayla. She spent alot of time talking with me, addressing concerns , I have thinning hair, and went over coloring. Kayla did a base color, partial hi & lo lights , cut & blow dry. I went there for the first time recently. Was recommended by a neighbor. A little info...I am a 66yo man, thinning gray hair...had 11 am appt, stylist comes out at 11:02...no big deal....tell Chloe I want a trim. I am LITERALLY out of her chair at 11:15...worst haircut I have ever received.......her cost is normally $ 40 for the 15 minute haircut, but thankfully rec'd a 50% discount for being a referral. She determines her worth to be 160/hr, times 7 hrs, equals $1120 for the day- assuming she works 250 days a year, she earns $ 280 K a year....I have to mention this to my cardiologist, he may change professions... read more

Disappointed with the University location. My stylist didn't make me feel like she cared that I was a new client. She didn't engage in any conversation unless it was a question about my hair. After she applied my color she passed me on to someone else who then washed and applied the toner to my hair. After that I was then brought back to her so she could cut my hair. After the hair cut she asked my how I wanted it styled, which I replied beach waves. She just twisted my hair around the blow dryer and that was it. After she walked me up to the check out she just said thanks for coming in. Apparently she must have a big book of business and didn't need any new clients. Terrible and costly experience. The first time I went to the salon ****** did a wonderful job. Another stylist came up and said "nice dimension". I left happy. When I went back for my "touch up" 6 weeks later it all went downhill. Some of my highlights were a 1/2 inch from my scalp. I part on the side and this was done for a center part. It looked like I had a bad home highlight job pulled through a frosting cap! The other highlights were uneven. Another random stylist walked up and said "Nice dimension" at this visit as well. I returned to have it corrected for free which made it worse! I felt rushed at the beginning of this appointment. ******* told me she used a toning conditioner instead of an actual toner. I was supposed to just leave with just a wash and go but she decided to blow out and style my hair. When I got home I realized why after I brushed out the style to the way normally wear my hair. My highlights were brassy orange and some were yellow. The Oribe bright blonde conditioner didn't even remedy the problem. Also I had a huge 2" wide blond chunk in my hair. I was very clear I did not want my highlights to lead to a blond head of hair (which ******* told me she would avoid on my first visit) and that it was important for me to keep the contrast. AND guess what... During that visit another stylist walked up to us and said "Nice Dimension". Do you see a pattern here? Between the styling, color, products I purchased for maintenance and tips I spent over $600 for 2 visits (The 3rd visit was a free "correction" that failed) I love to pamper myself but I feel robbed. When I pay for a service I expect total satisfaction. Customer service is arguably the most important thing for your business to get right. I expected better from a Paul Mitchell signature salon. This salon made me feel like a number rather than a guest. Needless to say I will not be returning. read more

I had the best haircut of my life here last week by Abby. Yes that sounds like I'm over exaggerating but I'm not! I had very long, thick wavy hair that needed a lot of layers and thinning out to be manageable. I have been to a handful of other higher end salons around and none compare. I showed her a photo of what I wanted which is usually pointless because the end result rarely looks similar. I was a last minute walk in but I did not feel overlooked or rushed at all. Abby spent an hour and a half getting my hair just as I asked, offering me drinks as she snipped away. She was very meticulous in making sure the layers were even and feathered out so as not to look chunky. I will definitely be back and this salon comes highly recommended I've never been so satisfied with a cut before! Excellent job! read more
