We met him on the final day of the project and he walked us through our apartment pointing out all the details, it looked great. He even pointed out a non painting related item he noticed and recommended that we should address to keep the apartment free of potential future damage, further indicating to us that he truly cares about helping his customers make their homes beautiful and keeping them safe. First off, the room looks amazing. Totally spot on, better than I could have ever dreamed. It made me realize that I don't ever want to waste my time personally trying to paint a room when I can hire the pros at Tuff Chicks, who can do it in a fraction of the time and do such a damn fine job at it. And timing-wise, they were super quick: they had a pretty big room to paint with lots of trim detail, but they were still in and out and left my place looking spotless after I'd say only 5-6 hours. I don't know market pricing but I feel that it was fair and affordable, and worth every penny. And not only were they professional and timely, Tanisha and her team were super friendly, funny, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. I didn't mind hanging out while they were painting to shoot the shit a little bit and they seemed to enjoy the extra company. From the very beginning when Tanisha came out to give a quote, she was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and confident about her suggestions and advice. Ultimately I went with her advice and I am glad I did. The only issue I had was I believe Tanisha got confused about the size of my room and may have purchased too much paint, thinking it was a larger area I had wanted painted than what was discussed. However, I think they still deserve all five stars and this did not bother me much, since I understand they seem to be a growing and very busy business, so these things happen. All in all I'm really thrilled and I almost want to have them back to paint more rooms even if the rooms don't need a paint job, just for the hell of it. The trouble began a couple of weeks after completing our apartment. In order to paint our walls, they had to remove and then reinstall some curtains. After the painters left, one of the curtains dropped out of the wall (picture 1'. When I requested they come back and fix the problem, Paintzen refused, claiming "the wall can't support the anchor" and to repair it would "go beyond your project's scope of work". On the contrary, the wall supported the curtains for 11 years until Paintzen came. The picture below shows screws without any anchors (picture 2). Surely, if they valued my business and their reputation, they would figure out a way to restore our wall to their prior condition. I escalated my complaints with the company but have yet to hear anything from them. I am reviewing my other options should they continue to ignore me. Bottom line: Paintzen may be fine for a simple and fast project like a bathroom. Do not trust them with a large project that could prove to have complexities. They may leave you (not) hanging.

The paint job was a sloppy mess. Than the wood cases started to peel. We told him that he never sanded the existing oil. He insisted he did. He had a Benjamin Moore rep come to the house who told him that the casing were not sanded enough. Ross decided to strip it with peel away. He never had enough workers to do the job properly so the peel away dried and created a mess. All the wood casings needed heavy sanding since he never cleaned it. It was like he had no idea how to use the striper. We are two months into painting one room with no end in sight. We are now arguing about sanding the horrible strip job. My advice do not hire them!!!!!

An estimator came to give me quote and went through the process - what color I should buy/was recommended and how much I should buy based on how many layers he thought I'd need. Since it was just two rooms, they said it could all be done in a day! We scheduled the painting for a few days later based on my schedule.
