Sometimes when we have a customization on our drinks, the cashier will always confirm with us before proceeding with making our drink. Drink taste like syrup water with pieces of fruits floating on top, zero percent taste of tea. Pretty disappointing esp this is my first time trying. I'm not sure if it makes sense to taste that sweet even though it's half sweet request in anticipation of strawberry boba. Service: 3 stars for their kind service and sweet recommendation of popular drinks. We came near closing time 8:30 pm and the place is still full of people from study groups to late night couple outing. However, it took 3 people to make about 10 drinks in 20 min wait time is not very efficient. There are 10 drinks before my order and the staffs took about almost half an hour to make is not very efficient in comparison to busier establishments in Chinatown. Ambience: lots of table occupied by study book worms utilizing WiFi. Nothing wrong, just feel like we cannot speak loud or enjoy our conversation without feeling disruptive. Overall, I might come by if I'm in the area to maybe give it a second try.

My friend ordered the Korean Viennese coffee as recommended by the employee. They also had a pastry case which I got the oreo & Nutella cookie & Biscoff white chocolate cookie which they warmed up for you. The food was good and the Takoyaki was my favorite. My friend really liked her coffee & truffle fries. My kids enjoyed their strawberry slushy but not the boba topping as much. My rose lychee drink had lychee bits which I liked but I couldn't taste the sparkling carbonation as strong as I would have preferred. We did play some of the gashapon machines which had cute pop culture toys like Sanrio, Toy Story, one piece & paw patrol. Overall, we had a good time hanging out and the food was satisfying. I will need to try a matcha drink next time.

The tea comes very sweet if you order it as it is, so I found that ordering the drink with half sugar was the perfect balance of sweetness while not distracting from the tea flavor. I liked how creamy the tea was, and appreciated how it wasn't watery and diluted. The avocado smoothie was very dense but still tasty also. Spent a good 4 hours here studying and had no complaints. Wifi was stable and the seats were comfy. There was plenty of seating even on a weekend and almost every seat was near an outlet. There were a lot of students there studying so the environment is pretty quiet. If you are in the area and want to study or grab a flavorful drink, stop by and order a Thai Green Tea. 9/10!

This location is also close to some fun Asian hangs & grocery stores. However, I didn't enjoy the back & forth involved in having to get my drink order correctly. When placing the order, I asked for a frozen slushy/snow type drink & so did my daughter. Walking away, I noticed a price difference on the screen (the lady refused to give a receipt when we asked - and no one was getting a receipt which I thought was weird). When we got our order, we got different drinks. My daughter got the texture I wanted & I got an iced drink. It's fine I thought, communication issue I'm sure. But the lady at the counter argued with me as I explained that I wanted what my daughter had, that was what I tried to explain earlier (an issue that perhaps would've been prevented if I had a receipt). Eventually she agreed to make me a new drink & I apologized while thanking her profusely - but as I walked away, the two younger women in the back kept looking up & laughing very loudly. Just seriously mean behavior. I don't think I'll be returning. The drink sizes, large selection, pricing & location is more my style at Teapioca anyways.

I've visited many times and have been impressed with the consistency of both the tea and boba. My go-tos are the Cassia Black Tea, Dong Ding Oolong Tea, and Green Tea, all with Cream and Bubble. I typically order their drinks with less lce and light sugar, which have been perfect for me. Their fruit teas are also delicious, although I would definitely recommend reducing the sugar level to allow the tea flavor to shine through. The size of their drinks is also perfect for me; large enough to enjoy but small enough to not be overwhelming. At this location you can order at the kiosk or at the cashier, which helps to expedite the line especially when it gets busy. You could consider studying here, especially with its notably large tables, however seating is limited and it can get loud during rush hour. I would highly recommend Chi Cha San Chen, especially if you've never tried a high-quality, tea-forward milk or fruit tea.

I'm happy to say that the quality did not disappoint! What I love about CHICHA San Chen is that each drink is freshly brewed to order. Rather than preparing large batches of tea ahead of time, the tea is brewed individually when you place your order using their signature tea-press technology. You can really taste the difference--the tea is fragrant, fresh, and flavorful. My absolute favorite is the King Bubble Black Tea with Cream. The combination of the rich black tea, creamy topping, and chewy king pearls is just SO good! I was also pleasantly surprised that the Houston location still offers the Taro Series. The taro drinks are another favorite of mine, and it's wonderful to see that Houston has kept this part of the menu. After visiting CHICHA San Chen in different places, I can honestly say that Houston holds up beautifully. The tea quality, fresh preparation, and overall experience are exactly what I have come to expect from the brand. CHICHA San Chen never fails to deliver!
