I personally don't love Share Tea overall but sometimes it's good. I think I prefer the Bellevue one for the milk tea flavor, although I don't know why it would be different if it's a chain... Today I ordered an ice blended milk tea with tapioca and it was not good. The tapioca had that stale, plastic-y flavor. I dumped the tapioca out when I got home and blended it with some milk but that taste is still there. They're typically okay for the most part but this is kind of unacceptable. My friend picked up this mango blended for me and he got a taro blended. Both of ours are just ICE. He said he was the only one in there and they weren't busy and they still served this? Guess I will enjoy it in a couple of hours once the ice cubes have melted and I can actually drink it. So glad there's boba in Seattle to fix my cravings - especially Sharetea because I love their mini bobas/pearls. Customer service was great, price was higher compare to California and the drinks were made pretty quick. This place is always packed with people. They however manage to always get my order right (never run out of XYZ unlike some bubble tea store in Bellevue) and the serving speed is above average. That's a big plus for a crowded space like this. Not much else to say, the quality of their drinks are good (if you like Sharetea then you like Sharetea, if you don't then there's nothing they can change). The price was is acceptable and they use Clover so you are essentially always getting a 10% off if you come here enough. Hope that keep it up. read more

I've come here a few times now and it's always crazy busy. Orders are taken relatively efficiently though the customer service isn't the most friendly. I've tried a few drinks... Two of which I wasn't a fan of ( they were iced fruit ones w green or black tea) but did like the third. The Okinawan pearl drink was great tho a bit sweet even at 80%. Very heavy on the milk which was a bit different. Honestly I kept coming back tho because I love boba, it kept getting such high reviews, and it's relatively close to work. So so flavor in the taro pearl milk tea. The boba is soft and tasty but the drink itself was meh. I have had better in lots of places. Service was fast but not particularly friendly. The decorations are cute. The music is hip. The store was empty when I walked in around 5pm. First impressions weren't bad. I ordered the "Wintermelon with Fresh Milk" with Coconut Milk and Herb Jelly. Besides it being a little too sweet (two or three times sweeter than I'd have preferred), I was surprised to learn AFTER my order came out that all drinks are iced by default! Apparently, the cashier doesn't ask you for how much sugar you want and just assume 100% sweetness? This is really dangerous for people who are new to the location and don't know to ask for a specific percent. Even worse, the location has no outlets, so even though I was looking forward to doing work with my cup of tea, I couldn't. My laptop is on its last breath as I'm writing this review. PRO TIPS: - Ask for specific sweetness (30% - 50% would be what I would personally ask for). - Make sure you ask for hot otherwise it's cold by default. - Don't choose this location to do work. Nice new environment and also busy with Asian people, which is always a good sign. Great location in Redmond Town Center amongst the Microsofties and exotic car goers. Obviously, they don't call this drink bubble tea for nothing, making the bubbles (also known as tapioca) the first or second most important thing about this thing. These bubbles are the correct consistency and not too mushy or too rubbery. So sue me, Goldilocks, they are just right!! A word of caution: Not every tea option has a sugar option, unfortunately, which leads to the tea tasting much too sweet (such as the winter melon flavor which practically gave me diabetes). I recommend the milk tea options. To be safe, go with 50% sugar or lower. read more

There's FINALLY a decent bubble tea place in Redmond! I've come in almost every week since their opening and have been impressed with the service. It was a little rocky at first because the franchise is very well known, and like any new store in Redmond (see Molly Moon's) there's usually a ton of people lining up to try it rather than drive 30+ minutes downtown. It took the staff a little while to get into the groove of things, but I think they did really well in a short amount of time. Long lines (around the block!) are usually taken care of in 30 minutes or less, and the staff is always cheerful and friendly. For people complaining about the overpowering sweetness, you can change the level of ice and sugar! I usually opt for 50% ice and 25-30% sugar in the classic milk tea and that is closer to the authentic taste. I think they put in so much sugar because Americans are known to have a sweet tooth. For people complaining about the consistency of the boba, "slimy" and soft is how it's supposed to be. The "slime" is the syrup that the pearls sit in to absorb some sweet flavor and some broken down tapioca protein from cooking the pearls (Fun fact: most servings of boba have about 4 grams of protein!). If boba is not properly cooked, it will be firm or even crunchy, which is really unpleasant. Same goes if it has not been freshly prepared. Came to T-Mobile store and spotted Sharetea. Have heard friend trying them out but just wasn't in the area. So after wrapping up from T-Mobile, walked over to the store and ordered my usual classic milk tea with bobas. You can customize your sweetness from 100% to no sugar, which is a bonus. First time here, didn't see the customize sweetness so I just got the 100% sweetness it's a little on the sweet side but wasn't overly too sweet. So next time if I would try the 80%. And they only have one size (large) $4 and any additional toppings is $.50 cents. I've only try bobas with my drink and the texture and sweetness was perfect for me. As for the classic milk tea, wish the tea flavor would be a little bit more stronger. Other than that it's pretty good. read more

I have been a loyal customer of sharetea ever since they opened their location near UW and I am so happy that there's one finally in Redmond! It's located right across the street from Macy's in Redmond town center. Plenty of parking as there's a parking garage and ample street parking available. First thing I noticed when I walked in is how significantly smaller this location is compared to the one in the U district. There's only four tables! Definitely hard to find a seat when there's a crowd unless you get lucky. There always seems to be a line at sharetea but the line moves fairly quickly and they get your drink to you fast. I was worried after reading so many bad reviews of this place that it wouldn't live up to my expectations as they just opened, but the service and the taste of the drinks are the same as the other location! You can choose the level of sweetness and the amount of ice in your drinks so it's totally customizable. They also have a ton of toppings to choose from! I love all of their milk teas with 30% or 50% sweetness and if I'm feeling adventurous I'll order the handmade taro with fresh milk. I love how they have actual bits of taro in there! Keep in mind though that with this particular drink you cannot adjust how much ice is in it as they have to blend the ice in the drink. I'm so happy there's FINALLY a sharetea by my house! Was very excited to check out this bubble tea shop so close to home! However, was fairly unimpressed. Atmosphere: There are three or four small tables on one side, and two folding chairs by the entrance. The whole place is maybe 300 square feet - feels pretty cramped. Service: It took a while to get my order because the guy making my tea was new, I think, and messed it up the first time. I get that training takes some time but he should not be looking at the recipe for a basic milk tea every step of the way! Checkout went smoothly. As I was waiting for my drink, all the staff were hanging out in front of the store and behind the counter, chatting and checking their phones which I found pretty unprofessional. Tea: I got a basic milk tea with boba. It was alright. The boba weren't chewy enough and the tea itself was a bit watery. Solid for hitting a craving but by far not the best I've ever had. The menu seems fairly extensive with flavors and options for different kinds of add ons. However, they only carry one size! It's generous, probably a large in most places, but sometimes I don't want a large and would prefer a smaller drink. Overall: more like a 3.5 star. They need to iron out some kinks, make the place feel more inviting, and train staff to make drinks faster and not check their phones right in front of a customer. I LOVE Sharetea! They have so many options of slushies, teas, milk teas, etc. My favorite go-to is taro milk tea with half the sweetness and half the ice. They also have hot drink options! I just got the hot taro milk tea right now and it definitely hit the spot! With any option, I suggest having half the sweet unless you like your milk tea really sweet :) Half the ice is good too because then you get more of the tea! I go to this place pretty frequently and have always had experiences ranging from good to great. Staff are friendly, and the drinks come out fast in my experience even when there's a long line. My only problem is with the menu, as the drinks that cannot be adjusted in sweetness are not marked, so you will only find out if you try to adjust at the register. I recommend erring on the side of less sweet if you can when ordering - I like sweet things, but even 80% sugar is way too much in my opinion. My personal favorites are the classic coffee with 30% sugar and pearls, as well as the coffee ice blended 50% sugar with added pearls. read more

East side bubble tea enthusiasts we finally added another bubble tea place to our maps! I love sharetea close to UW so I was excited about this one opening in Redmond town center. The drinks are awesome and the place looks great! I got a Light up Black Milk tea with boba the first time I went and I loved it in the light bulb! You get to keep the bulb but you cannot really adjust the drink which is unfortunate. Since this place is so new they are still getting in a routine so they are a little slow for now. But besides that I know I am about to become a regular! Check it out for all your bubble tea needs! read more
