The one star is not for the drink but for the service at this location, especially the manager. After ordering our drinks, we asked for a separate cup with just some boba and water for my kid. I said I'll pay for it. I even suggested, you can charge for extra boba on my drink and instead of adding to my cup add it to my kids cup. We have done it other locations without any issues since my kid just wants the boba and I don't want any more added sugars in his drink. But the manager made a big deal of this simple request and denied providing what we needed. At first he said ok "I'll charge for sample boba" and I said "sure, please go ahead". But he gave it in a cup without any lid. How can I give my kid the cup without any lid?! And when requested, he said the lid will technically make it another drink and was saying he can may be put a lid if there was no water in it! I was like ?!?! So the water makes the cup too expensive for 75 cents? He was just SO SOO DUMB and my partner was like "let's go its useless". Good experience in this store so far. I probably got lucky but there was no line when I arrived so got served immediately. Staff were chatty and friendly which was great. I have ordered the class pearl milk tea, and I went with 30% sugar option - I really like that I can customize the sweetness since I don't like overly sweet milk tea. It was made fresh and ready in a short time. It tasted just about right though I'd probably go for even less sweet (personal preference, not their fault!). The boba was really good, nice and soft yet chewy. The drink cup is huge and I wasn't able to finish the tea, so it would be nice if they offered a small size perhaps. But good value for money. Disappointing to see the two girls in masks and gloves, and the young man at the register with no mask at all. Worse, I watched him as he prepared our two bubble teas and breathed on them, then handed them to the masked girls to finish. When I politely inquired to why he wasn't wearing a mask, he quickly responded "we aren't required to wear masks." He then went on to tell me he "read an article that masks don't work." Being that our job is to distribute protective equipment, I gently shared that wasn't true. I also shared that as a customer that it is concerning watching him handle my food, breathing over the cups and food he's putting in them, without a mask. How one can be asymptomatic and spread the virus. He basically seemed smug the entire time. It is clear he thinks his one article makes him the expert over a concerned customer who is well versed in this field. First time visiting this location and it was another great experience at a Sharetea. The location is super small, but they have 3 tables and some seating. I've gone to various Shareteas around Seattle since moving here and each time I've gone, I've always thought the bubble tea was pretty mediocre. My favorite bubble tea so far is from Gong Cha; Oasis and Kung Fu tea also have some good flavors. Sharetea ranks low on the list. I went to this Sharetea around 30 minutes before closing and sadly by then they had ran out of bubbles and only had mini bubbles. This is understandable at bubble tea places, especially late on a Friday night. I ordered a hot taro milk tea with 50% sugar, but I feel like from now on I should always order 30% from Sharetea because my drink always tastes too sweet to me. I ordered a peach black tea, to give Sharetea Redmond another chance after they screwed up my order. However, it had a weird rubbery aftertaste that was terrible. My brother ordered a mango passion fruit green tea and they screwed it up by adding orange syrup instead of mango syrup, and it also had a strange aftertaste that was quite unpleasant. To add insult to injury, they increased their prices even more so that my drink + tax ended up around $6.50. Please save your money and go to the Sharetea in Bellevue--they won't disappoint by actually correctly making your drinks and doing it quickly while they're at it. Giving it two stars because the baristas were actually trying and were friendly, but they need better training from management to ensure that the drinks are actually enjoyable. I've been waiting for this place to open since I saw that "coming soon" sign outside the window at Redmond Town Center!!!! Soft Opening starts tomorrow 3/15/2017 & the grand opening is on 3/19/2017 (Beware - Expect lines for these few weeks!). I was able to check out this Sharetea during one of the soft opening days and I was super excited to walk into the smell of freshly made tapioca. The inside of the store is a little smaller than I expected - the cashier counter/bubble tea making area took up 2/3 of the area. There were a couple of tables/chairs where people could sit at, but it seemed more like a "order out" bubble tea place. The employees are super friendly - I was greeted with a bunch of smiles and they ensured that we were taken care of. [This was their first week opening so I took everything with a grain of salt] - I ordered my usual of the Classic Milk Tea with 50% - it tasted more like a 100% sugar, so that kind of threw me off. [~:: TIP: Possibly do a tier lower than your usual sugar level ::~] - It did take them sometime to bring out my drinks, but they're probably still figuring out the process. - The tapioca was perfecto - nice & chewy but not too chewy where it's like gum :D I'll for sure come back to Sharetea in a week or so, since they need some time to work out the kinks. :) Get ready Redmond - Sharetea will fill your Bubbletea addiction! read more

We've been here too many times, so I know what's good and what's bad now.. 1) coffee crema 50% sugar with light ice is WAY TOO SWEET, I suggest 30% of sugar instead! 2) classic green tea 30% sugar with light ice: perfect, my husband's usual drink! 3) QQ happy family 30% sugar with light ice: good, tea may not be sweet enough but the toppings are too sweet, so it's fine. 4) matcha berry boba latte: the berry boba is really meh, it's a limited drink but i don't recommend. 5) strawberry ice blended with lychee jelly and ice cream: very yummy but pricy read more

I'm a regular here at this location so I've had a lot of interactions that vary, some good, some decent, some meh. But overall I love the way they cook their boba pearls to perfection. It's always so chewy and sweetened to the right amount! My usual sweetness is 30% which I love that they offer a less sweet option, with the exception of some drinks that cannot be unsweetened or reduced. I love that they offer soy milk options and am hoping that they will expand their other non dairy options (like their ice cream perhaps?). Either way, I love this place! The only downside is that the space is so small--if there's a long line, it gets stuffy inside and then the line goes out the door into a shuffled mess. It would be nice if they kept the door open for those in line outside but they might keep it closed for air conditioning? Mall parking is available so that's a plus! read more

Very inconsistent. Service was terrible also. I ordered a green tea crema here twice. The first time it was fine. Exactly what I was expecting green tea on bottom and layer of creme on top. Next time I order the same thing and they gave me green milk tea on bottom and creme on top. I talk to lady at the counter and ask did they make my drink wrong I was expecting just green tea on bottom because when I drink this I don't mix it right away. I like to sip some creme and drink the green tea on bottom. They replied the creme on top just sank in and mixed with the green tea. I had never had this issue with this drink at other bubble tea places. I think they just made the drink wrong and wouldn't make me another drink. This used to be my favorite sharetea. I used to go out of my way to get redmond sharetea. However, todays service was the worst and staff cut corners on the tea. I ordered my standard hot jasmine milk tea. While making my tea one of the customers complained about getting honey milk tea without the milk. She fixed the other customers ordee but when returning to mine added ice. She was upset but instead of remaking it she poured half in my cup and had the other girl add hot water to make it warm. I understood them since I understand chinese and asked about it but the counter girl gave me attitude that that is how they do things. It's located in Redmond Town Center so there's plenty of parking either close by or within walking distance. It's by the parking garage, Charming Charlie and Macy's. It can be somewhat tricky to find since it's kind of hidden. This location is a pretty small place so when it comes to long lines or busy days, waiting space can be a bit inconvenient. However I do like the atmosphere of the place, well-lit and open. Staff is very nice and gets orders out in a timely manner. I normally get the classic pearl milk tea with 80% sweetness and less ice. I find that the normal sweetness level is a bit too much for me. Drink prices are reasonable which is a good thing since my friend and I go once a week before we hang out. My friend and I typically go on a Wednesday or Thursday around 3pm. There's usually not too many people in the afternoon. The biggest downside to this place is merely the amount of space inside. I always feel as though I'm in the way, either with people waiting for their drinks or people waiting to order but it's a detail I'm willing to overlook. It included bobas. The drink is really refreshing with a generous amount of boba. It is particularly good on hot days. Huge lines at this new store!! Sharetea must be setting the bar for milk tea. They are successful wherever they go. We were there for the soft opening, and they did not have all the ingredients. Came back the following week, and the line was out the door!! Came again the following week, late afternoon, line was much shorter, but still took a while for the drinks to be made. The tea tastes good and I used to frequent this place. However, the guy that seems to be the owner never likes it when you cash in the free drink after buying 10. He always makes a face about it... Why does he even have that offering if he doesn't like it? Most recently, my qr code for the free drink didn't work and he didn't do anything about it. Usually stores would give it to you even if the qr code was faulty. So anyway, even though the tea was good, the service ruined it for me. (Other employees are fine though). Best bubble tea ever! Fast and efficient service! The flavor is just right, not too milky and not too sweet. My favorite is the Hokkaido Pearl Tea, which is basically a caramel flavored milk tea.
