Sharetea is one of our favorite boba chains. We have made a habit of coming to this location. The boba is always fantastic. Unfortunately they are inconsistent with the quality of their drinks. This is one of the first times I have encountered that with any Sharetea store. Sometimes they're made really well, and others they're made horribly. It's a 50-50 chance. I got the Honey Black Milk Tea 50% sweet with boba and grass jelly. It was really good, has good ratios and the sweetness is perfect. However, my sister got the Matcha Milk 80% sweet with boba. It was gross, the milk to matcha ratio is entirely off making the drink taste solely like milk. You can barely taste the matcha. The sweetness too is way off, tastes less sweet than mine even though I had a lower percentage. The weirdest thing is that she has had the same exact drink before and although it was still on the milky side, the drink was good. Each time is a hit or miss. On the same visit, my uncle got the Tropical Fruit tea 50% sweet with lychee jelly. It is his first time getting the drink, and we do know that the tropical fruit tea and lychee jelly are typically on the sweeter side hence our choice of sugar level. Regardless, it was disgustingly sweet. There is no way that it was 50%. If so then 100% is a recipe for diabetes. My brother got the passion fruit and mango green tea, 50% sweet with boba and lychee jelly. Again we anticipated the extra sugar from the lychee jelly and the boba and the drink came out perfect. I was flavorful, cold, and had good ratios. A drink well made. I hope that you take my review into some consideration. This store has a lot of potential and we still love it. The service is great, the facility is clean, the workers are really nice, and you guys follow pretty strict CoVid procedures that do well in protecting the health of customers. Wanted to try this place out but totally disappointed for number of reasons : 1) they charge you a fee for using credit card 2) not many choices of drinks and only offer in Large size only, no Medium size 3) unfriendly staff, they look like they don't even want to be there This comment was meant to help the business improve. Don't drop your drink in front of this boba place lol An older customer had dropped her drink outside of the store in the front. When she came into let them know she was dismissed rather quickly by the two staff members making the drinks. She then walked out and I let them know that she had dropped her drink and asked if they would replace it, they then retorted saying she asked to order a drink. I attempted to clear up the situation saying no she was trying to replace it but they also dismissed me. Suffice to say that was pretty poor customer service to the lady customer. I've never been to a boba place that doesn't replace dropped drinks or clean up a dropped drink out in the front. 19 Mar Edit: message to the business owner from a long time customer. I have like three filled out boba cards. No, I did not have an inaccurate recount I've seen all of your other responses and you as the business owner like to try to say the reviewer with a negative review is incorrect and in my opinion that is not a good business model. Have you heard of the customer is always correct? I saw her drop her drink in the parking lot and walked in with her when she tried to explain cuz she did not speak very good English that she wanted to reorder her drink. The two girls at the front told her to reorder at the back of the line and so she had walked away because she did not understand. it was only then when I stepped in to try to clear up the situation saying no she dropped her drink in the parking lot. Your staff again dismissed me and did not seem like they wanted to try to help. There was only three people in line in front of me so you can't say it was that busy. Judging by your responses to other reviewers you come off as kind of petty and I see it now in your staff. My boyfriend decided to surprise me with a milk tea this afternoon as a pick me up for an already long week, and we decided that we'd drink them for dinner tonight. He bought them at about 5:30 tonight and we ate dinner at about 7. I was so excited because Thai tea is one of my FAVORITE drinks and I love getting it wherever I can. No sooner did I take a sip (same with my bf) did we both make our way to the sink to spit it out. Now his I can understand. He tends to be drawn to anything fruity and will more often branch out, whereas I stay the same. His had a great flavor in the beginning, but the after taste was a nightmare. Almost like a toffee? I can't quite pinpoint it. He tried to power through a few more sips, but as you can see in the picture, it didn't happen. Mine on the other hand tasted like straight water. Absolutely terrible. Could not even get through a sip of it. I'm so upset that he even paid for this. Bottom line: this is a no-go for us, and down the sink it goes. read more

This plaza isn't that busy to begin with, but it's so nice to have a popular boba shop in Lake Forest. We tried the Classic Milk Tea and Hokkaido Milk Tea. For the Classic Milk Tea, you could choose green/black/oolong tea. I asked what the difference between Hokkaido vs Okinawa Milk Tea. Hokkaido has a caramel toffee flavor, while Okinawa has a roasted brown sugar flavor and less sweet. The fresh boba was fluffy and airy. It wasn't as chewy. It also has a nice brown sugar coating. The girl taking our orders was very patient with us. I had difficulty deciding on my drink order. Thankfully there wasn't anyone behind us but she was understanding and took our order with a smile. As we waited for our drink order, I saw several customers come in to pick up their order. It seemed like they ordered ahead of time and came in for pickup. Overall the store was clean. I came to this Sharetea location on a Tuesday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. However the service was so bad and slow! If you're looking to get in and out, do not visit this Sharetea location. There were only 3 other customers ahead of me yet my visit took 30 minutes. The orders in front of me were big and had multiple drinks and although my order was ready, I had to wait for them to finish making the other drinks. I kindly asked the employee if my drinks were ready and she said yes. I asked her if she could give them to me and said no, I would have to wait for the other numbers to get called first and walked away. My ice blended drink ended up being melted because it took so long. Really rude and slow customer service. Ding Tea has much quicker service! read more

I usually don't like Sharetea, but I went here a couple of days ago because my friends wanted to go and I honestly can say that this location changed my mind! I got the Honey Green Milk Tea with boba and the tea flavor was fragrant and the drink had the perfect amount of honey. The boba was soft and chewy as well. I got 100% sweetness this time only because I do that when ordering drinks for the first time to gauge the sweetness level, but next time I will get 75%. It's great that this place offers the ability to adjust sugar levels so that everyone can get a drink to their liking. Overall, this place has a great atmosphere and keeps up with health codes and protocols, has a great variety of delicious drink selections, and has friendly and fun staff! Wintermelon tea with creama was my FAVORITE, it comes with a little plastic knife for you to cut small slits on the sides of the lid to drink from. My kids got green and black tea 2 sweet and milky just like they sell it and I got 2 unsweetened I wanted to try the tea and let me tell you this tea sits there all day it was so over-brewed you can taste it the one that was beyond sweet you could taste it a little because the sugar hide the nasty old brewed tea. I frequent this Sharetea at least 3x a week. Normally I order online and pick it up, east peasy. Today I went in and ordered my drink. I see that my drink is ready on the counter, but they wouldn't not give it to me. They said it has to go out in order... so the order in front of has like 5 drinks, and my slush drink is sitting there melting by the minute. It took 7 minutes to get my order to me when it is sitting there in front of my face! Whoever think this format is good customer service, y'all need to go back to business school. Even the worker was giving an attitude, knowing I'm just standing there waiting for my completed drink. Walked inside and spoke to the nicest person whom turned out to me the owner. she mentioned they had just opened five days ago and business was good considering COVID restrictions. We had a red bean with ice cream and a Thai milk tea. Both were delicious and refreshing. I used to go to share tea in San Mateo all the time for real taro milk but moved to OC and missed the real taro. I'm so glad there's a sharetea in my neighborhood now to get my REAL taro milk boba.
