OMG! I ordered the Vegan burger, which was on a chalkboard menu inside the restaurant, it is not on the paper menu just yet. I went in to order a regular burger but decided to give this vegan burger a try, along with the PITA fries. All I can continue to say is OMG! It was so dang good, yall! It tasted as if it was a homemade burger put together by hands and not machine, the toppings that came on it were grilled to perfection. I've now been to this establishment 3 times and have now had the vegan burger 3 times!!! Each time with the pita fries, which were new to my taste buds and they were just as yummy. She sprinkles this ranch tasting seasoning(maybe?!) on them and that makes it even yummier! Shar and everyone else in the establishment was very welcoming and kind to answer the questions we had about the food and their place. Wow... I'm very surprised at the negative reviews. (sounds like Tywonda has some personal issues along with cheerleading friends "it's obvious") This is an outstanding authentic Chicago style restaurant with great food and excellent customer service. The owners always treat you like family, share good advice and will help promote your business. I have never had an issue with the food, nor the service. I have referred several people to this restaurant and never a complaint. Being from Illinois I'm very familiar with the foods served here and I must say this is the ONLY restaurant that actually has the REAL Chicago style food and expected flavors that you're searching for. The owners are very friendly, the atmosphere is cozy and their always handing out freebies for customers to try. Been looking for authentic Chicago restaurant close by and finnally found one. I'm always skeptical about buying Italian beefs from restaurants outside of Chicago. Everyone claims theirs are like home. I they definitely didn't disappoint. I didn't even have to ask for extra meat like all the other places I've been to. The guy behind the counter even asked if I wanted my fries in a bag with mild sauce like at home. For a second I thought I was on the west side of Chicago. OMG!!! the news is spreading every person from Illinois is making their way to this spot to find that back home flavor that we've been miss so much. A friend referred me to this place and I can not get enough of it. I've tried the Italian Beef in Marietta, Hiram and even the one that was previously in downtown Douglasville many years ago and none of them compare to the Chicago food that's served here. Service is always great, I consistently visit for Soul Food Sunday. I'm obsessed with the oxtails, smack and cheese and cabbage. I'm a much bigger fan of the homemade lemonade and cake. Actually I'm traffic headed there now cause I'm fresh off work and won't have time to cook dinner! I recommend this restaurant to whomever in Georgia or the Douglasville area. They have permanently relocated to Carrollton. ShawBerry still has the best soul food in Georgia. The service is outstanding. OMG!!!!! I have found a place close to home that also sells an awesome vegan burger, I'm in heaven. Customer service is phenomenal, food is great and has a variety of food that taste amazing. I have been there twice. I have had the Chicken and waffles (waffles were so fluffy, light and tasty). My family had the fish dinner and chicken and fries. Today I finally got the Yogi burger that is always sold out. This burger was AMAZING!!! I will be back for this burger soon. read more
