First let me say I love Shane's. It was my go-to spot during my days in college. However, this location was lackluster. Well the food was. The service was amazing. The ladies up front were super personal, patient, and sweet. Now for the food. My go-to is chopped chicken, baked beans, green beans and mac & cheese. Y'all, the sides ruined the meal. Little to no flavor. Not a sprinkle of salt or black pepper to be found on the green beans. The baked beans tasted like they came straight from the can and into a pan tk be warmed up. The meat, sweet tea and toast sealed the deal. I'm coming back for my peach cobbler. They sold out about an hour before we arrived so I will give them another try in the near future. read more

I couldn't believe how I was treated when I inquired twice about my food order and the length of time that I waited for it. i asked to see the manager and after she had stated that my order happened to come in the middle of many large orders, she rolled her eyes to her fellow employees as though I couldn't see. Not bad, but not great. At Shane's you order at the counter, pay for your food, and then seat yourself until your food is brought to you. The staff is nice but won't engage in much conversation with you since this is not a typical dine-in restaurant and therefore no hosts and servers. I ordered a BBQ Pork sandwich and a side of mac. The mac wasn't anything special and I was disappointed at the lack of flavor. The BBQ Pork sandwich was good. At the table there was only one barbecue sauce to put on your food and while it was the Orginal Shane's Rib Shack flavor and it was fine. My family told me their burgers were good for the price and the wings were better than Buffalo Wild Wings, so perhaps it was just my meal that left something to be desired. One of my favorites !! We eat here at least once a week! The boneless wings, toast, Mac and cheese, okra, all of it !! So so yummy !!

The place closes at 8pm. We arrived at 7:30pm, ordered, and found that the sweet tea dispenser was empty. I informed the young man behind the counter the sweet tea was empty and was told they let it run out and wouldn't be making any more since it was close to closing time. I understand getting prepared to close but the restaurant is still open and still taking orders...I ordered sweet tea. The tables which they had cleaned already they had already turned sideways to keep us from sitting in them, the other tables were dirty so we had to sit at a dirty table. The food was tasty but we would have enjoyed it more if we had a clean table and I had the sweet tea I had wanted. By the way we were out of the restaurant before 8pm. I usually get a bar b q sandwich with fries and a coke but today I got their chicken fingers plate with a side salad. And I tell it was the best chicken fingers dinner I have ever had. The restaurant is pretty big for this type bar b q. I got my chicken fingers medium and glad I did. As in the lady in the other review it was awesome. It is in Cleveland's largest newest shopping center. There are some of my favorite stores in this shopping center. I would name a few but just look out side Shane's Rib Shack and its pretty much all of them. As far as customer service is concerned, they checked on me at least twice while I was eating. They even smiled at me. They also have an outside patio when it's warmer. Refills are free and self serve. You will have no problem parking. You can spend a pleasant day in this new shopping center. read more

Located in the strip mall adjacent to the Target complex, this place really knows how to bbq. The only reason I'm giving four stars rather than five is because a few things we tried to order was not available. Normally that's not an issue but they had no signage letting us know they were out. The prices are decent for the amount of food you receive. Service was quick. You order at the counter then the food is brought to your table. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The seating area was clean, only issue with cleanliness was my kiddos said the men's restroom was very disgusting. Would recommend this place if you want some good Tennessee style bbq. read more

She was extremely helpful and very pleasant. I know you're questioning why no brisket - THEY have no brisket! EVER! I've never heard of the barbecue restaurant they didn't serve brisket. The pulled pork and sauce were OK the chicken fingers were excellent. Both sides are very good. One drawback was the price. The 2 meat meal and Tea was $17.54. Went yesterday evening to get my dinner before going to the hotel for the night. This is the second time I have eaten at Shane's and I love the food. I got the two meat special with chicken tenders and pulled pork, baked beans and Mac and cheese, peach cobbler. Now I am a snob when it comes to peach cobbler but Shane's was really good!! The chicken salad is pretty delicious but is the chicken tenders that take my breath away... the buff-Q sauce is tha BOOMB!!! HONESTLY is the best most authentic Buffalo sauce i have tasted since moving to the south from NYC... the smoke chicken is good not to overly smoked but a little bland...the hamburgers are good quality and size...the fries are always fresh and yummy. I decided to check out this place out since hotel is nearby and it was good. When I got there on a Tuesday night, there was a line out the door. They have specials to draw the locals in..anyway someone from the kitchen came out while waiting to order and he seemed annoyed, telling everyone they're really backed up in kitchen and it would take 30 min to get food. I had time so I didn't care but thought he should've just seemed apologetic and appreciative to the customers. I got the ribs and very good with the spicy sauce although the meat didn't fall off the bone. Good still. Had Mac and cheese and green bean sides and both good. We've lived here several months and finally tried this place near our house. OMG it's so good! I have no clue what these other people giving it negative reviews are talking about. The mac and cheese is just fine (nothing to be "sick" about -- that's ridiculously melodramatic). And it's pretty stupid to give something only 3 stars when you liked everything about your experience other than the fact that it's a counter-order place instead of a server place and gets crowded. It's crowded because people like it. Duh. Eliminating waitstaff enables them to sell their food cheaply. Oh well, Yelp is full of picky reviewers. But trust me, this joint is amazing. We got full racks of ribs (I can have chicken any time -- seems like a waste to get it at a BBQ restaurant), and they were so flavorful and fell right off the bone. The ends were just blackened and a little crispy and wonderfully smoky. They tasted so good they probably didn't even need sauce, but they came with just the perfect amount drizzled over them to add to the flavor. The fried okra was good, as was the coleslaw. Personally, we love places where you order and pay at the counter and then your food is brought to you. You don't have a server interrupting you every 3 minutes, plus you can make your tea or soda the way you like it and fill it as many times as you want. The lady at the register was polite, and our food was brought out quickly and still steaming. Nice big booths, good atmosphere, delicious food, convenience, and low prices. every item is exceptional... only reason I give it 4 stars is because it's a lil pricey and the counter service seems to expect a tip just for ringing up your order.. not all counter help, but the ones that stare at you blankly know who they are. ( if I think you're doing something deserving of a tip I'll offer it.... My sons and I were looking for a place to eat and seeing this across the street from where we were staying, we decided to give this place a try. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly. Having never been here I decided to get the sampler platter as did my son. Another sons loves boneless wings (hot) so he ordered that. My third son ordered the pork baked potato. Having grown up in Memphis with real BBQ, my review may be biased. For a chain this BBQ would do in a pinch but would not be my "go to" place. All the BBQ sauces were too sweet for my taste and the spicy lacked any real kick. We all agreed the pulled pork was too dry and the 1/4 rack of ribs lacked any real smoked flavor. Also the baked potato was extremely dry. As for the spicy wings, my son said they were good and the right amount of heat. If you want great BBQ, this is not the place. If you just want BBQ fast and not concerned about the taste, this will fit the bill. The redeeming quality is the family friendly atmosphere and the staff. read more

Neither of the meats had even seen a smoker, they were steamed until falling apart, and not the good kind of falling apart. They are served with a weak sauce of some kind drizzled onto the meat which added no flavor at all. My husband and I spent about 30 minutes driving around trying to find a BBQ spot for dinner tonight. We were on the hunt for ribs- first we attempted Buddy's. They told us it would be a 30 min wait even though we had already waited a bit in the drive through. We tried Cook Out, they didn't have ribs but the employee was sure to let us know that they had Dr. Pepper ...... okay thanks.. After a quick google search we discovered Shane's rib shack. But we had only 12 mins to get there before close! The online ordering platform was easy to use and we placed and order for pickup. We walked in to Shane's expecting to be met with some unhappy employees upset that they had an order come in right before close, however the guy at the counter was more than happy to see us and helped us out willingly and cheerfully. It was a great touch! So much so that I'm writing this review on the way home without even tasting the food. Even if the food tastes like cardboard we will probably frequent Shane's for the customer service alone! However, I am sure it will be amazing considering it already smells SO GOOD. I wasn't able to get the kids name but he has glasses and brown Ish hair. Whoever he is he completely made our night and he deserves a raise! read more

My first visit to a Shane's was today for lunch. I cannot believe that real people think that there is good food there. Open your eyes people. Where is the smoke? Where is the meat cooked? It's not cooked there! My lunch was the BBQ Plate with coleslaw and baked beans. With tea came to a total of $12.05. In a prior occupation I ran a real BBQ restaurant. Shane's is a reheat joint. I saw no evidence of anything prepared/cooked from scratch. My pork had no smoke flavor and had been mixed with a little sauce before serving. I could see through the baked bean sauce. The Cole slaw tasted like cardboard. I have no desire to visit another Shane. read more

We were on our way home and actually pulled in to try a Japanese place and parked in front of here. We decided to try Shane's instead. We went inside and the woman who greeted us said she would be right with us. We didn't realize you ordered at the counter and then sat down, so that was a negative. Aside from that, everyone seemed really friendly. We both ordered 1/2 chicken, Mac N Cheese, Beans, Salad. The order came really quickly and everything was really hot (except the salad). The chicken was moist and delicious. I prefer a crispy skin, but theirs was moist with a tasty sauce. Some BBQ joints put too much on their chicken, but Shane's did not. Their Mac N Cheese wasn't anything special, but good. Not too cheesy where you can't tell if there's macaroni in it. Good balance, a wee bit dry, but not sticky dry. My husband said the beans were really good. I took home most of my chicken and salad. Plenty for lunch tomorrow. The price was really good! $7.95 for 1/2 Chicken, 2 sides, and Texas toast. With 2 drinks, our total was $22. Shane's is located in a shopping strip where there's plenty of parking. Inside is clean and a bit rustic. Very simple, but clean. There's at least 1 TV running, but it was muted when we were there. I would recommend Shane's if you're in the area. read more

I had high hopes for this place but was very disappointed. I got the chicken BBQ with macaroni and cheese and fries. The chicken was pretty bland so I drizzled sauce all over it (which was decent) but I couldn't even eat the macaroni and cheese it made me want to be sick.
