Avoid Vivint if you ever think you might need customer service…read more My experience with Vivint has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've ever had. I recently purchased a new home that already has a security system, so I contacted Vivint to cancel my service. About five weeks ago, a representative convinced me to place my account on a one-year deferment instead of canceling, saying it would give us time to decide if we wanted to switch back. Despite that agreement, Vivint still charged me $81. Since then, I've spent hours on hold over multiple phone calls trying to get the charge refunded and my account canceled. Every time I call, I'm either transferred, left waiting indefinitely, or told I need to call back again. After weeks of trying, I still don't have a refund and still don't have my account canceled. The $81 isn't even the main issue anymore. It's the complete lack of customer service and the amount of time they've wasted. No customer should have to spend hours on hold just to resolve a billing mistake and cancel a service. If Vivint puts this much effort into preventing customers from leaving instead of helping them, that's a serious problem. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Vivint to anyone. There are plenty of security companies that value their customers' time and stand behind their service. Unfortunately, Vivint has shown me the opposite.

DO NOT REFER TO VIVINT! They are refusing to give me the 200 dollars referral because I do not have…read morethe referral number. I decided to go to VIVINT and the gentleman who sold me the system told me if I had any referrals to send them his way. I did so and made a sale for him, but he never responded back after the new system was installed. Not cool nor fair for VIVINT not to honor the referral all because I did not have the referral number. My system was less then three weeks old myself. Either salesmen or technicians told us we needed a referral code. The gentlemen never responded back once the installation was complete. Very disappointed

Dave and his team came out immediately and assessed our situation and came up with a plan. Their service and professionalism are unmatched. I wish I could give zero stars I haven't been getting monitoring for the last 8 months per the ass…read morewhole that came to service my dead battery that the man over the phone diagnosed. I had a service call for my alarm making funny noises for a couple of days, so I called, and a technician was sent out. as he proceeded to change the battery, he told me that I hadn't had monitoring for the last 8 months . but I've been charged every month. needless to say as he's walking around my shop with his whole ass showing he's showing a lot of attitude as if he doesn't want to work. at the end of changing the battery, he asked for a payment, which was a surprise to me because I wasn't told that on the phone. I had a few questions, and he ignored me and proceeded to call the office. he then went and snatched the battery out of the box and went to walk out. I asked if he could put the other one back in. he said nope and walked out. but what made matters worse is when I called the office to tell the I guess owner what had happened and asked if I could be refunded my money that had been charged over the last 8 months with no monitoring. he proceeded to tell me it's my job to check every week to make sure my service is working. I've never heard of that this is going on all while I have a shop full of clients. I am in disbelief with this quote family business but will be taking my business elsewhere

Anyone thinking about doing business with Care Security should read what happened to us and how…read morethis company responded before making a decision. Several years ago Care installed wired security sensors in vinyl windows in the house we now own, by drilling through the sills, despite warning decals on every window that said "Do NOT drill holes into sill of window", because drilling a hole through the sill ruins the weather seal. Things looked fine on the outside, but on the inside the holes Care drilled were letting water run into the walls when it rained, causing hidden damage. When we finally discovered what Care's installation had done, it cost over $21,000 to correct. Care refused to take responsibility, and instead blamed their customers, the couple who bought the house new and had Care install the security system. Care claims they told the couple the installation would void the window warranty, so Care is not responsible. The couple says they were not told a warranty would be voided, that Care assured them they were professionals, had installed many aftermarket systems and the house would be protected. Either way, there was no warning that the installation would allow water into the walls, which professional installers should have known would happen. Care's owners ignored my letter offering to let them observe the problem in person. They did finally respond to the KY Attorney General's Office after I submitted a consumer complaint, again refusing to make the situation their installers created right. I believe Care's insurance could cover this, but Care says they can offer no relief for my situation - a situation that Care's installation caused, according to three professional contractors. Everyone with a Care installed system and vinyl windows should check their window sensors. If you see a small circle in the window sill, you might have the same problem - you should consider having a professional inspect your windows, and contact windowsensor.issue@yahoo.com.
