Good value for money spent. Repair on heat sink done correctly within a couple of days. Nice to get straight talk from a techie group!

After my iPad completely stopped charging, I decided to try them out. They have clearly marked COVID precautions marked on the door. No more than two groups of customers in at a time (it's a small storefront). Masks are required and hand sanitizer is readily available near the door. I stopped in on a Sat afternoon to get an idea of what might be wrong and what it might cost. I explained to technician the issue and he believed that problem was probably with the charging port which would require micro-soldering. The estimate was $169 with it taking about 7- 10 days. I left feeling satisfied with diagnostic and a $10 coupon for service when I returned, I took it home to backup all my info to the Cloud and came back to CPR the following Thur. Another tech said the owner of the shop was actually in town from OK and could do the repair that night. New estimate was $129, both things were music to my ears! I left it there with request to get a call if they found something else wrong, like my battery. I didn't hear back so checked in on Friday about pickup. It was ready to go and for the second, lower priced quoted. Did I mention the lifetime warranty on repairs? IPad has worked like new since I got it on Friday (it's now Sun night). I appreciated the customer service and speed at which my repair was done. I'd definitely recommend CPR for all Apple repairs and will be back if I need additional help.

My iPad wouldn't charge, took it in, they cleaned the port and now it's fine. I'm so happy!!!read more

Best Buy

Best Buy fills a niche that's outlasted most other big-box electronic stores…read more Admittedly, I don't shop there as much as I used to since I tend to educate myself and shop smarter when it comes to purchasing electronics. Otherwise, if it's something more pressing and I can't wait for shipping, it's off to Best Buy I go. First off, this Best Buy is in an odd place, having to turn off the road and wind around through a parking lot to get there. Best Buy is an wonderland for a guy like me. Aisles of technology and electronics. I could literally go broke with everything I want. My most recent purchases were a Samsung Chromebook and a Viper Remote Start for my car. If you do enough research ahead of time it's easy to narrow down what you're looking for before even walking in the door. While I *like* to browse up and down the aisles, it's never a good thing. I get too distracted / wishful. Since the remote start requires installation, it was easy to book my appointment. They have all the information you need back in the Automotive area (along with some REALLY nice car audio, but I had to rein myself in...I was there for the remote start, not to upgrade my audio). Within 15 minutes. The staff here is usually pretty knowledgeable, and if they don't know the answer they know who to send you to. My biggest gripe about Best Buy is that they no longer carry music. Physical media. CDs. I'm a DJ and prefer to work w/CDs. I am NOT a fan of the laptop DJ, so I have vast amounts of money involved in my CD collection. Sadly, I can't get it at Best Buy any more. At the end of the day, however, unless you're doing your shopping online, Best Buy is your option, and I'm mostly OK with that.

I decided to go to VIVINT and the gentleman who sold me the system told me if I had any referrals to send them his way. I did so and made a sale for him, but he never responded back after the new system was installed. Not cool nor fair for VIVINT not to honor the referral all because I did not have the referral number. My system was less then three weeks old myself. Either salesmen or technicians told us we needed a referral code. The gentlemen never responded back once the installation was complete. Very disappointed

Avoid Vivint if you ever think you might need customer service…read more My experience with Vivint has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've ever had. I recently purchased a new home that already has a security system, so I contacted Vivint to cancel my service. About five weeks ago, a representative convinced me to place my account on a one-year deferment instead of canceling, saying it would give us time to decide if we wanted to switch back. Despite that agreement, Vivint still charged me $81. Since then, I've spent hours on hold over multiple phone calls trying to get the charge refunded and my account canceled. Every time I call, I'm either transferred, left waiting indefinitely, or told I need to call back again. After weeks of trying, I still don't have a refund and still don't have my account canceled. The $81 isn't even the main issue anymore. It's the complete lack of customer service and the amount of time they've wasted. No customer should have to spend hours on hold just to resolve a billing mistake and cancel a service. If Vivint puts this much effort into preventing customers from leaving instead of helping them, that's a serious problem. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Vivint to anyone. There are plenty of security companies that value their customers' time and stand behind their service. Unfortunately, Vivint has shown me the opposite.
