He repeatedly called me condescending pet names like "sweetie", "honey", "young lady", etc. (I'm not 5 years old - I'm almost 30), while at the same time touching me constantly for no reason. I understand he's an eye doctor and needs to be close to your face to look at your eyes, but it definitely went beyond that and felt creepy. If you're a woman, beware.

I chose to do business with this company as I was very unhappy with the optometrist shop attached to my eye providers office. The precision measuring & accuracy was amazing and very detailed. The purchasing of these glasses went very smoothly and and I've had no problems with the glasses at all. Fast forward to this week when I accidentally stepped on them . I was heartbroken as I am very dependent upon them to see. A quick trip to their office and I have them back in perfect working order. The turnaround time was greatly appreciated as I was in a tough spot with some family issues going on and really needed to be able to see properly. I would highly recommend this business as they really take care of their customers.5 thank you!

One thing that really stands out is how quickly they can get you in for a sick visit if something comes up. That is something that's hard to find these days. The staff is consistently kind and efficient, and appointments run on time. You're in and out without the long waits. This is exactly how a doctor's office should operate. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, well-run optometry practice.

I was very happy to find a new optometrist and didn't anticipate returning for a second visit so quickly. Within a few days of my appointment I got something in my eye when walking outside in the wind. I finally called several days later when it became even more irritated and they worked me in the same day. Dr. McMahon found a grain of sand had stuck itself to my eye and said next time to not hesitate calling to come in for a check. It was such a relief to get it out and they were so awesome to get me scheduled same day to come in when I called. My daughter needs a new optometrist and I know who I'll be sending her to! I highly recommend Dr. McMahon and appreciate how considerate and professional both she and her practice is.

I was a patient at this practice for a few years and typically just scheduled annual appointments. That process went mostly smooth but if you have any question whatsoever it requires multiple steps of escalation and the staff are clearly annoyed and not properly trained. On one occasion I had an eye related emergency and the staff offered no emergency appointment or guidance for alternative treatment centers. That lack of assistance/guidance resulted in a $100 emergency room visit. The first question the ER asked me was why didn't your Optometrists schedule you for a sick visit? The last straw for me was when the front desk staff recently tried to cancel an existing annual appointment due to a VSP benefit being exhausted for the calendar year. The staff at no point asked if I had a secondary vision benefit (which I did) or if I still would like to keep the existing appointment with the understanding that the appointment fee would be an out of pocket expense. When I expressed to the staff that the customer service at this office is significantly lacking and that I would not be a returning patient the receptionist audibly sighed and said, " Yeah...ok" So for the above mentioned reasons I would no longer recommend this practice to others in my community.

Day of the appointment the receptionist calls to tell me I have to pay for the appointment because I have a deductible on the insurance. Called back, put on hold for 9 minutes. 1. My deductible has been met, I have a 10% coinsurance left to satisfy ($213 remaining) 2 Routine Eye on my plan is covered 100% (so would not have deductible or co-ins) 3. I went on line and called my insurance to confirm, obtained a reference number and called her back (she could have gotten some info had she called). She went on line again, called me back to say I still have a deductible....UM NO, I have co insurance, make a damn call if you don't know how to look up Massachusetts BCBS health insurance info. The Receptionist basically admitted she didn't know what she was doing making excuses that my plan is out of state, ID card is under my ex spouse (it's a family deductible BTW). The provider participates with my plan, claims go to BCBSRI and are approved by BCBSMA- this girl just wouldn't get off her tush and make a phone call.
