Yelp! It's good! I discovered the shaking shack from other YELPERS! We are a party of 5 in Boston. Everybody hungry! I ordered the catfish plate with corn and a side of sausage and eggs. This stuff good. Everybody raving about this Corn, hush puppies and onion rings! I got corn juice all down my face! The sausage also gets rave reviews. My friend and I were really excited to try this place since I live right down the street. So we ordered our food for pick up and then walked home. One of the items we got was Cajun fries and at first we didn't notice anything strange because we were super hungry but after having a couple of fries, I saw a hair entrenched in the fries. This restaurant operates in a completely unacceptable manner. I placed a pickup order through Uber Eats and intentionally waited 20 minutes before sending my uncle to pick it up. When he arrived, the server told him the food was not ready and could not provide any estimate of when it would be available. After waiting another 20 minutes, I asked again and received the exact same response. She still could not tell us when the order would be ready or even where it was in the queue. Her only explanation was, "the kitchen is crazy," which is not an acceptable answer. After waiting more than an hour, the food was still not ready. Because I ordered through Uber Eats, I was unable to cancel the order. I ultimately forfeited it due to the extremely poor service and unacceptable attitude with no ETA. I strongly suggest spending your money elsewhere if you want better service and treatment. I will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant. read more

Shaking Seafood was a very great place to eat! The variety of entrees and choices were very well done. I've been to seafood boils across North America and they had largest selection and variety of food. So 5 stars on the variety. I was there with a colleague from Europe and his two sons. We are until we couldn't eat any longer. They young guys were happy to see there were free refills and took advantage of that for sure. I've never seen someone drink so much soda in my life??!! Lol Everyone was happy with food, the service, and the overall experience. The ambiance is just a normal restaurant. It's small like most restaurants and places in Boston when comparing it to places in the southern parts of the US. Restrooms were clean and tidy. The restrooms were uni-sex. The Lemon pepper chicken is crunchy, flavorful and good. The shrimp with head off and shaking sauce is delicious.

Staff was good and they were nice. Snow crab wasn't great. When I broke the legs it was difficult and the crab wouldn't come out easily. Would have to use a fork to pick out from the legs. Was disappointed since I was looking forward to crab all day. read more

I ordered take out so I will be trying inside the restaurant next time. The best thing was the crab 10/10. Everything else was blah shrimp and crawfish tasted pre-cooked (very rubbery on all shrimp) the seasoning wasn't in the room with us but everyone else pictures who dined in looks like their food was cooked with love. I'll post another review when I've dined in. Otherwise I don't feel like the shrimp broil was worth it especially if it's pre-cooked shrimp. This first part is mainly for "Mark". He's the one who delivered this to me which he works under Door Dash. My food said it was going to be delivered at 9:50pm. I gave it til 9:55pm to see where my food is. The status said it was delivered at 9:36pm. Not even a phone call to tell me that he's here or anything. My food was sitting outside in the cold for 19 minutes. Smh. Now to the food... 2/5. I'm sorry... I had the Combo 2 which had snow crab legs, New Zealand mussels, and shrimp. I requested for the shaking flavor, EXTRA SPICY. The sauce was so bland, the spice was... what spice? There was no kick or anything at all lol I had to add my own seasonings in.... I came here before. And love the food here. But yesterday (10/23), I order the crawfish from this restaurant. After few hours, I got diarrhea and vomiting. It lasted until 4am. Today my stomach still hurts so bad. I don't know what they put in the crawfish that made me like that. Please check whether the food is fresh or not before serving to customers. Smh I should have known when we walked in and were the ONLY customers on a Friday night. I ordered a seafood boil bag and a few hours after I got home I started shivering uncontrollably and had diarrhea and stomach pains all through out the night. It's the next day now and I'm still in pain and feeling weak. Both my daughters woke up with stomach pains and diarrhea as well. If I could give zero stars I would. food is not fresh at all. I ordered through UberEat and the price is way higher but I got an offer that 1 lb of snow crab for free if the order is $60+. I ordered snow crab + shrimps with heads, 1/2 lb of mussels and 1/2 lb of crawfish, and 1 free 1lb of snow crab. 3 bags with their shaking sauce, mild. However, the consistency of the sauce is different, 1 bag is too salty, 1 bag lack garlic, and 1 bag lack sauce. Shrimps aren't fresh and some of the snow crabs had full of meat but a few of them are dried up, it seems they freeze too long. My favorite was the crawfish and corn. read more

I ordered 5lbs of crawfish extra spicy with shaking sauce for take out and had a good experience! Shaking Seafood has good prices and the crawfish were fairly large compared to other seafood boil places I've tried around Boston. The sauce itself was super flavorful - I just wish I had more of it! Shaking Seafood does have the option for you to get extra sauce on the side for dipping which I wish I had totally opted for (will definitely be doing this next time). The seafood doesn't stay hot for too long though so would highly recommend scarfing it down as soon as you can! read more

[Long overdue] You can't go wrong with anything there. All the seafoods were great, but my favorites were the scallops and shrimp with heads on! Yum! Food is great, not that many choices so the process of choosing what you want is not so overwhelmingly. There sauce is ok, wish it was more garlicky. The price is also great and reasonable. Wow! A seafood boil place finally opened up in Dorchester! I came in with high expectations because I am a seafood lover and the food was mighty fine. Food: For the appetizers, I ordered the fried onion rings and the fried oyster basket and it blew me away. I can't remember a time when I had better onion rings. The onion rings were fried to perfection and the fried oysters were no different. The curly fries that came with the fried oysters tasted just like Arby's curly fries! For the entree, I decided to go with the snow crab legs, shrimp head-off, and baby clams with the shaking sauce. The shaking sauce is a combination of cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper. The sauce was so good and the seafood tasted even better. Service: The workers were very friendly and the food came out quickly. They even wiped down the menu with disinfectant wipes every time a customer look at it. This tells me that the workers care a lot about the customers well-being during the pandemic. Went inside for dinner. Great experience! The staff were very attentive. Ordered a fried catfish basket and some water. The basket came out in under 10 mins (they were also making orders for pick up). Very hot and fresh! The catfish was perfectly seasoned (not too heavy or light), and fluffy yet still crispy. Once cooled, the flavor of the fish itself was amazing. Didn't have to drown it in Tartar sauce. The Cajun fries were also perfectly seasoned and crispy. I got a fried shrimp basket with fries. The shrimp was fresh and seasoned well. However, the tempura batter made the shrimp a little crumbly. I was also surprised that coke slaw or salad was not included with basket meal you had to buy as a side dish. Usually, a basket comes with a side salad.
